Stadia

Stadia is an all-new gaming platform that lets you play games across screens. Stadia is one place for all the ways we play.

Play games across the screens you own. You can play games on televisions with the Stadia Controller and Google Chromecast Ultra. You can also play games on Stadia across laptops and desktops. At launch, Stadia supports Chrome OS tablets including Pixel Slate, Acer Chromebook Tab 10, and HP Chromebook X2, and Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4 family phones. To play Stadia, youโ€™ll also need a code that will be provided to you with a qualified purchase, such as Stadia Founderโ€™s Edition or Stadia Premiere Edition.

Play with one click. The moment you purchase a game, itโ€™s ready to play as long as you have Wi-Fi. Stadia takes care of all the game patches and updates so you never have to wait for a game download or in-game update again.

Smooth, beautiful, low-latency gameplay. Stadia delivers a gorgeous picture at up to 4K and 60 FPS with HDR. Specific resolution, HDR, framerate, and gameplay experience will depend on your individual device capabilities, connection, and games. Stadia Pro subscription may be required for access to some features.

Always getting better. Stadia is constantly being updated and improved. You wonโ€™t need to upgrade your console or PC hardware to play the latest games, because Stadia already does that for you behind the scenes.

The service itself is fine, mostly. For what you pay, you would expect quality at least on par with what Nvidia is offering for half the price, but it's not there. The app is garbage. Every two seconds it switches wifi bands for some reason, causing audio and visual stutter, making it unplayable. It's the only streaming app that does this, and there's no way to make it stop unless you use a third party app to always force 5ghz

I do believe that stadia gets a bad rep, I have it and face absolutely no problem at all, I play destiny 2 on stadia amoung other things, and it runs smooth. The issue I will point out is the fact it's a case to case basis when it comes to stadia. One person may have a great experience while someone else might not, its based solely on your internet. So this 5stars is based on my personal experience.

(I had attempted to remove the comment saying that it would be nice if there were on-screen touch controls because I know that that feature is there now - and somehow the edit didn't happen - apologies for the confusion on that). Really happy to have Stadia's game streaming service available as an option when I'm on the road. Generally works well from the hotels I stay at. Using on an S22 Ultra (as well as other devices), and it works great.

Overall I love using this app as an emulator to play console games, but I've come to one major problem. Touch screen controls are very awkward and I think it would be great to be able to move these controls around and change the sizes of them because they do make playing most games extremely difficult. I prefer touch screen controls over using controllers l, and I would love to see the ability to configure the button placement and size on touch screen.

This is a really great app, I had only heard bits and pieces about it and actually had no idea that it was essentially an android version of steam (I thought it was another android console ๐Ÿ™„ I'm actually really excited to dive into this and check out everything it has to offer. I'll save money, skip the steam deck and pick-up a mobi controller for my phone (assuming it's compatible with the system)

Compared to when I used in 2020 this has improved. Stadia as a whole has a great library of games. When you have a good internet connection is a great thing to use. I only wished Google advertise this more than GeForce Now with ChromeOS. If you are in need of a good form of game streaming this is it. Just use anything but the touch controls.

Used to work on S22 ultra with experiments enabled until the April 1st update from Samsung. Now after starting a game it beeps, then crashes and restarts my phone. With headset attached game does start but sound is choppy, but it does work. Needs a fix from Google please. Workaround is to use browser for the time being. EDIT: I've tried again today and the app is working on my s22 ultra and is saying the phone is supported ๐Ÿ˜. Not sure why the game does not use the whole screen though.โ˜น๏ธ

The library of games its pretty unique in diversity. And it dose run great if connection is great but really lags and chugs alot which makes it difficult to really enjoy the full experience. Due to the streaming issues networks seem to fall and reconnect more often then not. Plz fix the streaming problem. I do like the platform

Just an idea, if you have money in your Google wallet you should be able to use it towards the full amount of a game within stadia. I have just over ยฃ3 in my Google wallet from Google rewards but it won't allow me to use it to take it off the full amount of a stadia game. So would have to pay full price on card It's rather annoying! Is this a feature you can add? I contacted Google Pay from the email from the apps page, but got a reply that said it's no longer in use.

Used to work great on my Tab S7, but recently switched to the S8 Ultra and it is basically useless unless I want to play audio only. I can play it through browser, but then you can't use Bluetooth headphones for whatever reason. So all in all, I just can't play on this Tab.

A year in.. Early adopter. Before the new Xbox and PS5, Stadia was here with 4k, HDR; immediate game library, downloads and updates. Should only be played on ethernet imo. Way too glitchy otherwise. Most of the Pro games are not of my taste, but when those AAA titles trickle in it makes it so worth it. I'm a casual gamer and this platform suits me perfectly.

Still a good concept but lacks quality. The system eems forgotten by Google but still left open to generate any money. Even lower priced or free games lack quality and enginuity, and these are usually the games that keep people locked on and progress to full paying integration. Kids were excited and played it for 2 weeks and now the games controller is just left laying around. Another blunder by Google.

Stadia needs more games. There I said it. Stadia needs to catch up with Xbox ultimate to be a really competitive game streaming application. Don't get me wrong Xbox charges ยฃ10 per month, but it's worth it for the games. Look I like stadia, some of my best friends use Stadia, but it's just not where it needs to be. Stadia customer service is great, you can buy the games so you are not tied into a monthly subscription and the games are well priced there just needs to be more.

I was super excited today when I was able to get 3 months of stadia pro for free since I have Google one subscription, it work well on my windows PC, and my father's ipad, but when I tried to use it on my cellphone (Motorola Moto E6) the only thing I get is a black screen, there is audio and I can tell that I have control, even on chrome on my phone it doesn't work, Google you need to fix this it's very disappointing and gives stadia a bad look.

Stadia works really well on a decent Internet connection. The selection of games is limited, but there's always something to play on Pro - and it's a much chiller way to play than firing up a console. That said, I got my chrome cast and controller on promotion, and that's the way to go.

Seems like out of the big 3, Stadia is the one game streaming service that knows what it's doing. Unlike the other two, it takes care of everything in the background, and you just end up in your game ready to go. And even with my $10 temp router with old 2.4ghz dual band (not joking), it somehow is the most responsive and the visual fidelity is as if I'm playing it natively! Wow!...controllers simply work, even over USB.

L2, R2 sensitive buttons. Trigger safety is real thing with Stadia. Love it. Most games are very well optimised (some big titles too), games with bigger open maps, I.e Far Cry, Destroy all humans, etc. might lag a bit. If you're after something to keep you entertained, pass time after 9 to 5, that's the thing to go. If you're after cheap console replacement, that's not it. Controller is solid build. Works on everything mind the Internet. Best thing I came across. Massively underrated

It's pretty good but I have some connection issues and dont know if its my wifi or stadia but i digress. Something that I would like is if they added a store for the Chromecast ultra users that would be a lot better to purchase games instead of doing almost everything on the phone.

Jam. C. May 23, 2022

The app had a lot of games on there but I have an issue they only had 3 racing games which were wreckfest, dirt, and grid their wasn't any others I don't know if its them saying we have all your favourite games. Except racing games but other than that the selection they do have are great grid being my favourite hopefully more racing games like need for speed are added

Support for S22 Ultra has been added, but NO SUPPORT for its "Adaptive Display"! ๐Ÿ’” Gameplay & app in general is OFF CENTER, it looks very very awkward. It's SUPPOSED to be on the CENTER of the phone โ€” with two EQUAL Black-bars around the edges. Please fix, otherwise; I'm unable to invest in Stadia anymore โ€” since XCloud is doing better with their integration... ๐Ÿ˜ญ Please Google, fix it! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’”

The future is now. This thing is amazing! Ignore the astroturfing going on online. This is what's up. Update: fantastic support. Zero problems. Sold my gaming laptop, and using just dance 2020 to keep active during the pandemic. Update May 2022: still amazing - world war z aftermath is amazing (L4D3) to find friends. The value is fantastic, just need to be patient with game selection. If it's on stadia, it's worth buying vs $700+ console.

Literally doesnt go past the "subscribe to pro" page. Im not subscribing for 12$ a month to get content I get for free elsewhere. If you dint have a free option, you guys are out of touch with reality, or you need to fix this app. ------------------- edit: no im not checking out your "1 month free trial". the fact that you dont have an unpaid demo completely removes my interest. ------------ edit2: again, im not changing my review simply because you are insisting the app has a free trial.

Lost my save data in the cloud somehow. Thought the whole point of the cloud was that it was redundant. Edit: Rebooting doesn't work WHEN ITS IN THE CLOUD. Also, the devs said whoever and wherever the save is, is who is responsible. They only supply the software, not storage.

Abd. D. May 2, 2022

Simple, clean fun. Cross-platform. Love that it supports a variety of controllers. Needs to be easier to use though when pairing controllers to other devices.

Chr. M. May 12, 2022

Works just fine. I was a little worried about playing it but, it works so well! I love that i can just get back into a game on my computers, tv, and phones. Im looking forward to seein what stadia has planned in the future!

Pat. M. Apr 3, 2022

Like many others, stadia doesn't work on my new S22 Ultra. I purchased the device with cloud gaming in mind, given the screen size, ram, and processor. Would really like to see this added to the compatibility list asap. Otherwise, works on my Tab S6 flawlessly with an Xbox One Controller.

SSR. T. Apr 7, 2022

Just got a brand new s22 ultra and updated the stadia app all excited to play. App starts up goes to game then my whole phone resets. Tried other game streaming apps and stadia is the one that keeps restarting my phone. Cant play games which I have paid for so now losing out from money I've spent on them. Will remain one star until this issue gets sorted.

I play on an s21 ultra with a razer kishi and this is an truly amazing thing. Graphics that match my desktop accept I can sit anywhere in the house(or indeed anywhere else provided a good enough internet connection) and play some decent games. So far I've played fallen order and for the most part you forget you're streaming. First person games that I've tried on the other hand.. input lag is soooo much more noticeable to the point where it kinda ruins it. Im going to try cyber punk and hope.
