ALL U HAVE TO DO IS GET NORTON ANTIVIRUS AND IT SCANS FOR THIS AND A BUNCH OF OTHER THINGS. NORTON ANTIVIRUS DELUXE OR 360 IS JUST AS GOOD. THIS APP ALONE DID NOTHING FOR MY S7 OR WHEN I GOT THE S8 GALAXY. I AM SWITCHING TO APPLE AND I SURE WOULDN'T PUT THIS ON AN APPLE PHONE. HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYONE.
It's BSc it said I didn't have stagefright but I got a kernel manager and I had 5 enabled stage fright files one disabled I disabled all I thought it was supposed to detect the one thing it said I didn't have
It help allot to approved everything else and and happy to be safe.
I have no idea what this is and it has been added to my list of things to seek out and disposw of on this phone.
Need update for devices up to Android 11
This app did not detect the stagefright vulnerability when I know for a fact my LG K92 was purchased with this vulnerability installed.
Can you add detection of other vulnerabilities that google patches with every security update?
Amazing App Production Absolutley So Far!!.
For older version of Android
I've had my information stolen from a developer
Global Light Optics Inc.. Github
Got it thanks
Tells me I am vulnerable to this threat tells me to turn off my mms auto recieve. But doesn't tell me if I am infected or how to protect against it...Doesn't matter if the discription says it's a detector when u trust a app like lookout it took me to download so you don't think of needing to read it. Useless pointless app. My rating stands
The description of the app explains that prior releases of this detector detected a few false negatives. The latest release has the ability to detect new vulnerabilities to Stage fright. The next thing people need to be aware of is that this is intended to detect if the OS on the device is vulnerable. Yes, if your device is vulnerable, it will continue to report it is vulnerable until such time your device is patched. Taking steps will prevent the vulnerability being exploited, but will not remove it.
I have a new galaxy s6 with all latest versions of software installed . After following all instructions correctly and correctly shutting off my MMS and installing their full security program I am still getting false negative reports of stage fright! This makes the application even though it is just a stage fright detector worthless and unreliable... Just my humble opinion.
I think this app is either broke of it is being used to get people to download and install lookout. It reports my device as vulnerable. I've been asking T-Mobile when that were going to fix it. It so happens that the fix was pushed two months. This piece of crap software continues to report vulnerable and has caused undue stress by tricking me into thinking I was vulnerable when I was not. Good thing that I don't need it any more but causes me to question the accuracy of Lookout's other apps.
This app help A LOT to know it my device is vulnerable I have 2 phone one Note 3 with CyanogenMod and the second a LG phone I thought a custom Rom will be highly vulnerable but it is not vulnerable I think is because it get nightly built update the LG phone is vulnerable, thanks so much developer this app is awesome and it help a lot, will tell friends about this app.
I love lookout app and stagefright app no problems i make sure it is turned on.i highly recommended to all cell phone users.factory reset then download these apps.i been using it too many years.thumbs up.
