Good info when needed it.
Excellent & Helpful App .. Thanks. The Watts2Amps Calc would be better for people in the UK if you could include 240V as as choice for Voltage (the standard here in the UK)....I can get a close approximation using 220V but 240V would be more precise. It would also be great if you could allow user to enter number of fixtures at that Wattage so the total wattage being drawn by, say 4 fixtures @ 650W was displayed (the number of fixtures could default to 1 but allows users to change to any number). Thanks again.
I like this app a lot, as I am a theatre technician this is very useful. But i find the dip switch calculator hard to understand. At a glance I see the white boxes as in the on position, which has led me to turn the opposite switches on. By looking at the on arrow, The squares which turn blue where the white goes up are on which shows the wrong switches on. I'd love for this to be Improved!
Cannot make sense of the beam calculator. Is it supposed to tell you what barrels to use at what throw distance? 'Cause it doesn't do that. The colour mixer has no practical purpose from what I can see...Would be nice to be able to get a gel readout from the colour you've mixed. Otherwise it's just a pretty colour palette. The dipswitch thing will be useful though.
Only thing I feel it needs to be complete is some reference material for dipswitch settings for popular stand-alone LED lights for setting colors, strobes, etc. (for quicker up lighting setups without downloading a ton of manuals.)
I will give a 5 star if it had Amber along with red blue green. I use mega par qa 38 by American DJ and they have Amber too. Please add Amber.
The color calculator and gel swatch features are nice to get an idea, but due to screen variances should only be used as a loose reference. Adding personal gel selections would be a bonus for on-hand gels.
Amp calulator does not take in to consideration votage drop, 1800watt = 15amps. Not 16.1
So i downloaded this after seeing it on my colleagues iphone and this is definitely not the same. Why is that?
Very helpful in identifying the colors you want.
Certain features work well on the App. However, when starting other features (light beam calculator and color calculator), the app immediately crashes. Clever concept, but some major bugs prevent enjoyment of the app.
It'll get 5 stars when you add the color charts again.
Great response by developer and a solid app. It does everything I need it to now. Thanks devs!
Can't use because it closes on me constantly.
I would bump this up to 4 or 5 stars if it had gel comparisons
Almost all fixed within 24 hrs! Great dev, dang! You go dev! Can calcs and convertors remember last settings/answers? Could be helpful. Still though, dip switch touch areas and responsiveness off. Top "ON" whole row is solid black on todays update (wasnt before) kinda wierd. Thanks for lanscaping the app and esp the dip calc. Adding Progess by x amount : great suggestion!
This is a decent enough app but I agree with others the DIP switch input should start with a blank. Also the addition of a light meter would be very useful. Even if not totally accurate it would be useful for for finding hot spots.
Lots of nice features, but force closes on first run every time I try to use it.second try works fine though. would be nice to be able to touch the actual dip switches to change them instead of having to enter a number.also, the default should be blank, not a 0.
Very useful. Should add projection distance calc and aspect ratio calc for video projection. Keep up the great work.
As a full time LD this is the best app on my phone. Please please add hotlinks to common fixture manual pdfs and it will be perfect!
Glad somebody came out with this
Keeps getting better & better. Android needs *more* stagehand apps like this!
OMG.....its about time! Love this app and will use it often.
I don't know what kind of app is this..
Setting up/ concerts
This is a very handy app for a Lighting Tech!!! Great job guys!!!
Sad that looks like this app has not been updated since March 2013! Has it been abandoned? How about metric cable sizes such as 1.5mm / 2.5mm? And 'Harmonised' cable standards (such as H07RN) as used throughout Europe. (There IS more theatre lighting in the rest of the world than the whole of the United States!) 😱 Come on guys!
