I downloaded this to update my power meters firmware. It has been unable to do so, consistently failing partway through or at the beginning, with the error message "firmware update failed. Lost connection." Admittedly I have a very new phone(note 9), but even then this is pretty basic stuff and I'd like to think it's not my phone that's causing the issue. I like my Power meter and it still works fine on 2.0.83 firmware, but I would like to update it.

Update, More stable now. Does updates no problem and connects no issues. At times a reboot of the phone is required. Battery indication is either full or empty. Original review. Seems a bit fragile. I can't get any consistancy from the app. Requires a reboot of phone to get it to connect to both cranks at times. Battery indication not working for cranks, just displays full all the time.

unable to update firmware for my stages power meter with this app simply get an error DFU file error so stuck with earliest firmware version. Extensive interaction with Stages support who are claiming problem is with my android device: Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro and only suggestion they can make is to use another device to load the app to. Samsung assure me there is nothing wrong with my device. So stuck with the oldest version of the firmware on my meter which has Ben behaving inconsistently.

Latest version no longer connects willingly. it took me an hour and a half just to update the firmware on both halves of a dual-sided power meter and I've been trying for the past hour to get my other bike updated. this requires rebooting the phone about 5 times per crank just to try and get it to connect so that I can unpair update and re-pair

This application will not connect to the device's blue tooth, despite being visible on the phone, and going through all the hassel of removing all other connections. This app maybe the No1 reason not to consider Stages powermeter products.

I've had my power meter for 3 years with no issues. Now getting it out for summer the app failed mid update which appears to have bricked my power meter. Amazing. Hopefully customer support can help get this rectified. UPDATE: customer service has been brilliant

I have three Stages power meters. Old Samsung tablet connects quickly and works as expected. However, this version of the app can't find or connect to any of my power meters. Suggest more testing be done.

another useless app from stages. just got a new sb20 bike and having problems with it. installed the power meter to diagnose problems with bike. initially found bike and left and right power cranks. selected bike and app reports zero watts. no longer displays power meters on cranks to select. uninstalled / reinstalled, still only shows bike. no option to delete bike in app. these are basic apps and only way stages allows you to see if sb20 is working correctly. would strongly recommend not buying stages sb20 until problems are resolved

Connected fine for me, updated firmware and performed a zero reset. Real time cadence and power screen didn't show a thing when trying it out on my turbo. No problem as don't really need it but dropped a star as needs fixing.

Just installed a new Stages power meter. Downloaded this Android app to my phone and it connected and zeroed the power meter with no issues. Very straight forward. Power meter also connected to my Garmin 530 immediately: very pleased!

First time using a power meter and I can't get it to find my power meter. Since I can't link the power meter, I'd venture out to say this app and power meter are useless, which is unfortunate because the power meter won't work with another apps. Maybe my review and mind will change if the bugs get worked out..

I love my power meter but for some reason on zwift it isn't reading above 60 rpm and it's driving me insane. I can't connect the device it's not even showing up. I just want to update the firmware Guys swap the battery and try again lmao... but I guess I am up to date... never mind my complaining

Crashes all the time. Can't even access the tools section to do anything because the app crashes when you press the button

Inconsistent and unreliable. It would be great if there was a better way to interact with stages cranks.

Sometimes it connects, most times it doesn't, so many rides uncalibrated. Power meter connects to Zwift and Garmin but not the app.

"Update firmware" button is greyed out and I cannot reflash the firmware. Attempting to calibrate the meter gives an ADC value of "0" and Garmin Edge 510 registers zero power / rpm regardless of effort. Waste of £££, very unhappy.

Unable to see any of my cranks. Deleted app, readded-no change. Sent email to developer for assistance.

Doesn't find my PM, no additional options or error messages, only endless "connecting ". Useless..

Works for me. Quickly found and updated my powermeter's firmware with out a problem.

Worst app and product. My brand new power meter is not showing. I tried everything 😭
