It's a wonderful app, but I wish you could make the animation very short coz it's too lengthy. Many at times I have to wait for the animation to end before I can sign into my account. If there can be a skip button to skip the animation I'll be very happy.
Probably the most unreliable banking app I've used. The OTP code hangs too often and I'm often stranded waiting for the code to complete my transaction. It's just embarrassing because you never know when it is going to do that. App is up to date and I haven't been able to complete any transactions for 3 days now. Needs some serious upgrades.
Well, when I open the apply for products section, all I see is the selection of accounts to open option. Nothing more.
@SA. I did exactly that (i.e. turn off notifications under settings) and it didn't help. In fact I've turned off everything under settings. Still! FYI that promo flyer has been interfering with the menu since it was put up. I figured out a way around it. But since your upgrade this past weekend, the flyer is now permanently stuck on the menu and there is now way of getting around it. Help ASAP!
It's quite surprising some reviewers are outlining unpleasant experiences with the SC Mobile App. I have used this app for almost two years and cannot recall any unpleasant experience(s). It has served me successfully and saved me valuable time and money as well as the needless inconvenience of driving to the bank to join long queues. Overall, the app is great, hence my 5 star rating.

Very bad experience using this app. Making international transfers is next to impossible- I almost missed the deadline for a certain international transaction because of this. And for a week now I've tried severally to make an international transfer and it still hasn't worked. I'm outside Ghana atm so I can't even visit a branch to sort out the issues. My debit card has also been suspended for no reason at all, and so the money in my account is basically just sitting there now.
The problem has been there for too long thus my rating. Once it's fixed I'll review the rating. Even with promotion banners off, they don't go! Its particularly annoying because there's one on the button left corner about referring family and friends that blocks the last 2 or 3 options on the menu list. If you find it fit to reply this review and it's one of those BS replies I suggest you don't at all.I know what I'm talking about and if you actually read the reviews you'd know I'm not alone.
It is a good app. But you need to integrate the ability to access mobile money wallets within the app. It too cumbersome having be switching between ussd and the sc mobile app to for example credit your account and it comes with avoidable cost. On all my other apps,I can credit my account from wallet at no cost which is not the case on SC mobile. Most of your competitors can already do that with ease.
I just created an account recently which I haven't even been able to fund due to inconsistencies with the app. I'm asked to resubmit documents and there's no where on the app I can do that. When I try to request a debit card there are no account options. I might just consider closing the account instead of all the stress
1. Finger print verification no longer works. 2. When you do a one time transaction and it gives you the opportunity to save details, you cannot save the name of the person you have just sent money to, you can only set up a new biller which is a much longer process. This is really inconvenient and defeats the purpose of saving details. Please fix.
Why does the "refer your family and friends" advertisement in the app cover some of the major options in the app such as "about", " FAQ" etc. It doesn't leave the screen hence doesn't allow you to access the other options on the menu.
I use the app for all my transactions but for the past 4days I haven't been able to log in. I therefore updated but still I keep getting the error ER_SEC_00 please assist as this is really overwhelming. I have tried and keep on trying each day but to no avail. Shifted to online banking and at a point in time I am unable to even make momo transactions with the error "biller not available ". Honestly this is really stressful and I need a quick and urgent solution to transact my business please.
Very poor app cant even update to the latest version and cant also perform any transaction with the old version. I ve to travel long distance to a branch to withdraw money instead of using the app in just a minute. Am thinking of leaving this bank
Experience has been very good. One issue which requires attention is the fact that when a momo transaction is done, the recipient does not get details of the sender. For example the several times I have sent monies to the momo accounts of others they are unable to tell who the sender is. Kindly make provision for this. Thank you
Since I registered for this app, SC mobile l have never used it once successfully. Each time l tried to transfer from my accounts to my wallet, l am told l don't have accounts to do the transactions. I visited my branch three times with the problems but yet to enjoy this "wonderful" app. I will keep trying.
It's a 5️⃣ for you la. Great app if you know how to get around everything you need to do. I really don't see any problem with using the app. I can access my account and do almost everything I should be doing in a banking hall. The only downside is that at the klick of a button I have access to my account. Makes me spend more money than I should be doing. A trip to the bank would take much more time and planning... Good work. No wonder you won the digital bank of the year in Gh. Congratulations.
Hey! I try to open account with this app but no way, it only allow me to enter my informations, whenever I tap on "I have read and accepte GENERAL DECLARATION" the next thing I could see is a blank space and no more app control to continue, no notification, and after reading the text is the end of the journey
It's been working well for me. The only problem I have which I think should be fixed is mobile money number verification. The system should be able to at least give us the name of the MoMo account holder as added security. With the current one it's just number and it's sent which isn't quite good looking at how easy it is to mix up numbers.
Sorry but you get 1 star from me because I applied to create an account back in December 2020. I completed all the processes successfully. Since then my application status has been processing till now. I keep receiving text messages and emails from you guys which suggests that I am client but my application has not been processed. And currently when I open the app, it closes immediately.
It always told me I had typed a wrong password and so I should contact the head office. I had to abandon it but I think you need to let the handlers work on it. I have reinstalled and updated it several times and don't forget, I buy data in doing so. I don't think this app is useful compared to those of other banks
App has stopped working with message "Unfortunately, the browser you are using is not compatible with Breeze. Please click here if you are not automatically redirected to Standard Chartered Online Banking in 6 seconds.". Android Pie(9)
I tried getting an account.I filled the necessary information needed for the forms,then i got to a point where i needed to indicate the date my ID card would expire.I made a mistake and wanted to clear and re-enter it but the app won't let me...It rather duplicates the / sign like "///////",so annoying🙅.It's a one star for me.
Excellent App. Absolutely love it. Well done. I suggest you add an option/button to reveal your funds after log in. Right after log in your funds just pops up and you wouldn't want people near you to see that. So just a button that shows or hides your total funds.
Auto Logout, App should be able to detect the code sent in the SMS, i know it's a banking app so security is important but if you will end user sessions whiles I open another app at least have auto code detect cos it's very annoying.. creating my account was very challenging cos I have toggle through different apps to find information.. I was literally close to uninstalling but someone from ur office called me. Pls either u remove that feature or add auto detect for codes sent through SMS
Exceptional and reliable but offlate your app is misbehaving please do work on it. I have being trying to upgrade my app for God knows how long and it's still not responding. SCB you guys can do better. It's becoming frustrating.
The pop up at the side of the app doesn't make it user friendly. It literally blocks options you'll like to choose from. Please remove those things. I'm not impressed after several updates.
Fingerprint login keeps getting disabled when I use it to login, quite frustrating to have to set it up again everytime. This is the latest version, there is no update on Google play as of 8th September, 2020.
I feel let down by the SC Mobile app. Just like Michael, the past 5 days has been an hellish experience with having OTPs hanging whilst waiting to finalize payment transactions especially in emergency situation such been on admission at the hospital. I haven't been able to complete any transaction in the past 5 days as funds movement transactions fails but gets debited. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app several times to no avail. An emergency upgrade is urgently needed.
