Very good app. The format is straightforward and easy to use, and I really like how private the notes are. However, as of a few months ago, whenever I open it on my android phone, it crashes. I have not been able to access my notes from my phone ever since . I have tried uninstalling the app, force stopping the app, sending feedback and the problem is still not fixed. So it's a good app; the only problem is the app crashing every time I open it.
Great app, but on my phone or Samsung tablet the search function doesn't work and only works on PC. Also when you edit a note it doesn't update the organization to the most recent edited note for android and PC. I suppose the latter might not be possible to add as a functionality, but please fix the search function! Thank you for your time and value.
Love standard notes web app, but the android version needs to be able to manage nested tags more easily. Let me expand collapse nested tags. Let me create nested tags. Those two things and I'll be happy. In addition to that I've had a number of bugs just opening my notes at all. It usually gets fixed quickly, but it was pretty frequent over the last year. The notes would fail to decrypt and then the app closed, which makes it hard to rely on for stuff you just need to get done immediately.
Impressive, simple and easy, open source note taking or journalling app. You can use it free or pay for more features. Notes are encrypted and you can back them to google drive ect. Really impressed how the account works to sync up notes to devices. That happens via their servers, but again notes are encrypted and decrypted with your account password so only you can read them. Supports account login, setting a passcode, and MFA. I recommend using both security measures for the most security.
Simple and easy to use. This app allows me to take personal notes for work and home with secure privacy. All the data is encrypted with a password, and so the choice of how safe your notes are is up to you! I pick a nice long password with letters, numbers and symbols, and I feel safe storing everything in here.
Decent, seems to work. Much more stable than tomdroid which I had been using. Lacking a find feature, would really like to be able to find within an active document like most text editors
On first impressions, very good indeed. Pity the paid plans are so ridiculously overpriced. I might pay to sync, but certainly not $29/year for features I can have for free in other apps.
Mobile app doesn't run smoothly as it should. The desktop app is perfect but the mobile version takes ages to load up, and has many issues when I'm trying to type e.g I would be typing a while paragraph then it cuts out and forgets all of what I've written, or it skips to another part of the note, there is a massive lag and it's just very frustrating to use every time I just want to make a quick note. For the paid version I expect more
I've started a paid subscription to use more editors, but they are behaving quite buggy. For instance, the bold editor is presenting problems when breaking lines and using unordered lists (bullet points). If the bugs percist, I won't renew my subscription. Besides, on the desktop app for windows 10 themes are behaving quite unstable as well. Please, if you want to retain your users address bugs before moving on to create new features.
The perfect app for someone who wants protected notes, a simple UI and a good sync between devices. Easy to use. Never broke down on me and I use it pretty much every day since almost 2 years ago. Community is great and helps you most of the times. I only gave 4 starts because it lacks some features in the free edition like attaching images to your notes.
I started using this app and desktop program in 2020, and so far I really like it. I feel pretty reassured because it lets me back up the notes to my pc storage in a way that doesnt take up a ton of space, and it is encrypted. Just in case something were to ever happen to the app. It's really good, I would say it could improve some ease of usability instructions for the decryption of stored notes. It's really simple but it really does do what it says. Privacy heck yeah
The app is simple and easy to use, but almost unusable without internet access, because the Extensions and Editors don't work (load) without it, only the basic Editor does in that case. Which doesn't make much sense to me. Even if the extensions are loaded from a server and are not part of the app, it souldn't be a problem to cache them locally
Android app is too slow at startup, it even crashes 1 or 2 times before I'm able to see my notes. New Folder View is also not enabled in Android app yet nor the smart tags feature. However I have the pro plan subscription and I'm very happy with this product, specifically the desktop apps and how they handle end to end encryption. Seriously, I've tried several apps, this the only one that gives convinience and privacy. Finally, it's a shame that the file encryption feafute no longer exists.
The best notetaking app there it is in playstore handsdown. Where were you all these time, and how come I am discovering this only now?! 😩😩😩. Lost all my important notes in nextcloud notes and hence I am here. I probably missed this app because of the app icon which doesn't look like a note taking app at all. Kindly consider this as a feedback and overhaul the look of the app icon with a pen or something I'm sure there are many like me who have look past this app of the app logo.
I wanted a standalone encrypted note app. The marketing suggested this was it. You have to sign in to get standalone encryption features. Why? It amazes me that companies that claim to offer security and privacy then want your data stored in their cloud.

The only very minor issue I have is that, when there's a lack of signal or the app is forcefully closed, the sorting of notes is reset to date added (I always use date modified)
I use to love this app but after resetting my phone, It opens for not even a second and closes, I like the fact that you can sync it with apple. This is a bummer. I hope it starts working again. I will be getting a new phone!! This was a great app to!! Very useful. I rarely write reviews but I'm a bit disappointed. Now I have to get another app. I already have one note but that's used for something else. I hope the issue resolves
Best note app. Has everything you need. Encrypted-devoted/Privacy invested plus syncable making it portable, infinite wrtiting and planning in plain and all offline. Though you can add an 'add category' to sort by instead of just relying on alphabet and date, and or setting shortcuts like swiping horizontally to delete and edit, and vertically to arrange. Other than that visual and prioritised convenience, you guys made the niche noter.
Great and my go to over Keep. A lot of the recent reviews saying it does not sync across platforms. I have NOT experienced this. Others have said it won't work on their phones or open anymore...I have used this app on my Note 20U, Fold3, S22U and two Windows 10 desktops and 1 laptop. It syncs. It works. No issues.
Simplest yet safest, compact a d amazing sync service, while still I the free version. I just wish I could still have a little formatting, like checklists
I just started using the app, so takes this with a grain of salt. Also I have plus plan. Overall works nice, setup and sync works easy and fast, notes are updated/added within second on the desktop. It takes a second to get used to the app, maybe just me because I used only plain text note apps
There are a number of recent bad reviews about the app crashing after migrating to a new phone. To fix the issue you must go to settings>apps>standard notes>storage and click "clear data" and "clear cache." Then you can open the app and sign back in to re-sync your notes and everything will work perfectly.
Great simple note taking app, which doesn't make me sign up for an account. Can export to plain text to back up! Only issue I have popped up within the past 2 weeks. It stopped sorting my notes by date modified, which makes it hard to find the notes I use often.
