I like this app very much. I just tried the star because you are taking this one away and hated it. Unistalled it. Could not find crossword and other stuff I like to look at. It always seem the people want to improve something that works for others are happy with.
I'm disappointed you are taking it away.
Ending 1 August 2017. Impressive looking, but too fiddly. 'Virtually', I prefer reading the news on the BBC News App or, multiple sources, via an app like Google Newsstand or Feedly. Plus, of course, all of these apps consume user's data / bandwidth, if not on wi-fi - so the more complicated, the less attractive, especially when travelling. But also old school enough that I still prefer to read anything over a snippet in a 'real' paper.
I like it a lot, it has my comics to read and crossword. Will we still have that when it becomes the TORONTO STAR?
Very very very disappointed that this is being removed. I will not be using the new app, especially as there is no diversion section.
Navigation is awkward. When I tap on a headline that appears on my tablet feed, the app opens but I have to hunt for the story behind the headline that caught my interest in the first place and it's usually hard to find, so I just close the app.
Massive improvements since last year, but still short of full potential of the app, such as more videos, gifs, infographics, maps, etc; no section for science/environment; many articles found in the paper (especially on health/food) are not in the app; at times limited depth and coverage of key issues, especially on the environment and climate change...
Lots of pictures. If you like to read news in a magazine format with a lot of visual flair, you will like this app.
Easily the most usable and attractive news app in Canada. I wish the globe and mail would hire the developers!
I love Star Touch. But until there's an option to limit the amount of data used by this app I can't have it on my tablet. While installed, the amount of data used by the app grew by 50-100 MB every day without ever decreasing. When I uninstalled Star Touch, I gained more than 2 GB of storage. Fix this app!
I like the way the app is laid out. Simple. It sometimes is quirky but overall entertaining and interesting content.
A really great platform and easy to navigate. I really enjoy using the app.
BEST NEWS APP but it's a sizable daily download about 45 meg. Still the best despite that. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS FEATURE IMAGES ARENT captioned, you have to click on picture.
I love the way it downloads onto my tablet every night, so it is there for my offline bus commute every day. The layout of pages is really nice.

Your "IT" dept is a disaster, pretty much non existent. Could not believe no one was available to walk me through prob on phone and asked me to send an email with prob. No thanks, i'll just pick up a Globe.
It's fun to see what the enter of the Canadian universe is up to. Some great news and extras. I like it.
Good way to catch up with the daily news. Interactive segments display much more than the paper version.
I didn't realize it was on a free trial, it's a great app for what I'm using it for now.....FREE

Love this app. My go-to way to read a "newspaper." I don't understand why it has been reported as struggling. It just takes a bit of practice to get a feel for the format. I am running on a Dell Venue 7.
I've really enjoyed Star Touch and found it very easy to navigate. I'll switch to ePaper but hope I will like it as much! Can't miss reading my Star daily!

Star Touch is a thousand times better than your new Toronto Star app! I will not be using the new app, and I'm disappointed that you've changed over to something that does not even try to compare to the visually appealing, nicely organized and very enjoyable Star Touch. I'm willing to subjected to more adds in order to have it back.
