They updated the app yesterday 4/9/22. Now it won't open and my phone says it has a bug in the program. Tried refreshing it today with no luck. Overall it had worked fair before this update but the same issues as others have mentioned. Chopping off the top all letters on the first line of each paragraph and very jerky scrolling.
The app doesn't work anymore. Will not open. The last update was a no-go. Was happy with it and used it everyday for the past 2 years. Now it is useless and my digital subscription is worthless too bc I can't use the app on my phone (where I read my news). Please fix this issue!
I needed to retreive some obituary info from 2017, but everytime i enteredna.e it wouldn't give me articles of things happenimg on the news. I had saved an email with the info, so Icould have the info, but it said it wodn't open, be aude I didn'thave app that could open it. I thought your app would open it, but doesn't work.
Going 2 stars as of now since you should not have to do this when the app is updated. It was shutting down before it even started. Fixed it on my phone by going into Settings/Apps and selecting the Strib app. Then deleted the data and cleared the cache. Now able to open the app but had to log in again. Hopefully it will be stable now and I could give more than 2 stars, but withholding judgment for now.
Hard to believe they could have made this worse but they managed it! Initial install resulted in an app that crashed immediately upon opening. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it for a while but it's up to its old shenanigans again.
App frequently crashes, seems to happen whenever the top story changes. Scrolling is choppy, battery drain is ridiculous and my phone gets hot. Phone is working way too hard for this type of app. These problems just began recently.
Overall decent layout but frustrating that app regularly freezes and must be force stopped. Comments section very slow to load and clumsy to use. I actually pay for this e-news site. I expect much better performance.
App was redesigned in spring 2022 but is still poor. Redesign left it completely unusable for more than a week. After the update on 4/27/22, I can open the app but maps fail to load. User comments load painfully slowly if at all, and it's cumbersome to get back to comments you've posted and others' replies to them.
I guess the latest update didn't have basic testing. It is no longer operable and crashes immediately upon launch. I'm surprised it wasn't rolled back immediately.
"Asks" to Close and asks for Feebback (and then its a convoluted experience via Google) when it cant open an article. Worst app ever. Happens way too often. Extremely irritating. UPDATE Its now 4/20/2022 and just as bad ever. Ridiculous!!!
App is unreliable and keeps pushing supports notifications on spite of having turned them off and checked repeatedly to make sure they are still off.
Wildly unstable. Works fine sometimes. Other times it repeatedly crashes immediately at opening.
Latest release broke it. Crashes instantly on start-up. Used it every day now useless. Android 11 phone.

App continuously stops. Words or letters are often distorted or omitted. Content is fine.

Just joining the chorus: Since last week's update, the app will no longer open on my Pixel 4. This dramatically reduces the value I get from my subscription.
The app won't open for me even after reinstalling, just shows the launch animation for half a second before crashing 🤦
A recent update broke our app and we can't get it back. The contact developer email address does not work.
Latest version crashed immediately on Pixel 6 with all the latest OS patches. Review updated - uninstall / reinstalled and now works.

I don't understand how app development can go so bad that the April 9th update broke the app completely and is force closing on 3 different devices between Android 10 and the current latest release. The support email in the store is no longer valid and they auto reply to another contact. Clearing storage and settings appears to work or uninstall and reinstall of this app will do the same thing and allow it to function again.
