The app does what it is designed to do. It also sends notifications when you don't want it to. I have set the notification preferences to send me no notifications yet I still receive push notifications. The app isn't worth more than one star if it doesn't respect the user's selected notification settings. Why is there a menu for notification settings if they can't be controlled?
Hi-Tech, great animations, but functionally disappointing. It's embarrassing. I get news days behind. Finding stuff is cumbersome. My brother's app that is half expensive had a setting where you can be notified if a satellite is coming in your field of view via GPS. And it would tell you what satellite it was. That encouraged me to buy this app. However, this app told me they would get that feature eventually. Years later still hasn't happened. Poor follow up.
This app is amazing. I know, the size of space is unfathomable, but I just wish meteors could be tracked better and have more info, such as size, velocity, etc. Other than that, music, graphics, compass, are all top of the line. Truly exceptional work!
Works great and I learn something new every time I use it. I just hope that the ones who made this app keep it up and going good. Fix any glitches, keep it running well, and keep the app updated for all of us who really enjoy it. I myself use it at least 3 times a week or more. The Lord put the stars here to declare His handiwork so look up! Explore the stars, marvel at the grand design of it all and turn off the TV! Keep up the good work.
I downloaded the free version of Star Walk 2 in addition to the free versions of competing apps by other developers and Star Walk 2 was the one that blew me away the most. I fell in love with it so much that I bought the $5 upgrade bundle (in-app purchase). From the stunningly beautiful graphics and music to the informative content and the intuitive user interface, this app is wonderful. God made the stars and all of nature so beautifully and wonderfully! May God bless. Jesus Christ loves you!
Absolutely unusable. All of the sliders are practically impossible to use, when you click on the camera feature it deletes your time settings, not to mention setting a time is practically impossible. Try to find any other app, there's no way it could be worse than this one.
at first it was pretty cool. but it either isn't letting me log in or something else is amiss. also I'm incredibly frustrated they replaced the compass in the corner for this, right here, so one can leave a review. other than that, if it's even slightly accurate about the sky from one's position, it's way cool. if I don't get my compass back, I won't be purchasing after my 2 month free trial. if that's fixed I will totally buy it and change to 5 stars
Could be better if they got the times correct for the May lunar eclipse. Poor article. Maybe it should be double checked before release. It'd be one thing if it was a hour ahead, but it wasn't. It was hour behind. Thanks for the screw up I missed getting pictures. To your reply they are not correct and if I could post a screenshot. I can prove it.
Gosh...this app is amazing!! So intersting and facinating!! The most intersting feature I find is that u just have to click on any one point/start/planet/nebula etc. and it will show full detailed explanation of it! The app perfectly matches its name. You do walk through the sky and space with this app... totally innovative!
Opens up Amazon website while app is in the background. I fell asleep after watching the eclipse last night and had the app open in the background and another app running. When I wooke up, my phone had Amazon pulled up to a certain Yankee Candle tab. And it had opened that same tab eight times. So from midnight to 0600 eight Amazon tabs had opened. Good thing I didn't tab the screen in my sleep and order anything!
Purchased full version. Have turned both notification settings off and put not disturb setting on daytime, however notifications are still coming through. Love the app for it's versatility and information, but getting so many notifications is becoming quite annoying.

I have had the free app for a while now, I have debated paying the 4.99 for the whole package and finally did so today. Its a fantastic app and the amount of free things you get in the main app is impressive. With just the constellations they give you, you can find loads of things to look at through your telescope or binoculars. The 4.99 is a fair and honest price, they have cleary put our money to good use as the app is polished and stable.
The adds were manageable.(so far) I loved discovering more about planets. I'm just sad the satellites and some features were locked and needed money. But I understand why the app has in app purchases.
I had tested this app two years ago. It's the best sky map app I ever seen. I just have happy to told you that I like this app very much. But awful ads and payements for satalites, star, galaxies is so much disgusting. So I have given it 4 star. If you fix this and remove this payement I think that the space knowledge thitsts people can learn it easily. Thats all thank you. Wish you a nice day.
I usually don't pay for apps, but the free version was so cool, I had to spring for this one. NOT disappointed. My son and I do weekly fire pits (weather permitting) and this has paid for itself many times over. I particularly like the ISS notifications.
Really good app... Love it... It is very easy to use. I could find a lot of stars and planets. It also has really soothing music. I wish you could make some more premium objects for free. It would make the app much better. Otherwise it is really amazing app. It helped me a lot. Thank you.
I paid money for this app a long, long time ago. I've paid for it three times on different devices. Today, my daughter asked where Pluto was and I searched for it. To my surprise, I now have to BUY Pluto. I don't have words for how disappointed I am about this. Please change this. Locking discovery of the solar system behind microtransactions is shameful enough, but locking out users who paid into the full app years ago is really quite distasteful.
For observing sky and its wonderful members (Stars, Planets, Comets etc.), Star Walk 2 is a perfect app. Realtime nightsky view and satellite view in this application is just awesome! Star Spotter feature has added an extra attraction For Star Walk 2. Every Planets, Stars & other things detail is so educative for curious persons. LOVE IT except now,33122, I am no longer able to move my phone around and watch the stars move around to current view!? It just stays on the sky that is in the coordinates; makes it hard to find specific things that I am looking at in my sky! Not happy 😒 But everything else seems to be working fine 🙂
This app is great to learn the orginal 88 constellations of the ancients. It should have an option to separate the ancient star charts from the modern, as the stars how the ancients saw them were full of spiritual meaning and sacred purpose with myth serving as the modus operandi to transmit finely veiled truths not understood by the masses. It would be doing a great sevice to the human race if it were to separate the two. Other than that its a great way to study the night sky....
Free app that wants my credit card to start up. I would be happy to pay the full price if I knew the app offered me something. However I'm not going to hand over credit card details or subscribe to something I know nothing about yet. Dissapointing your greed has out run your app.
Excellent app. Can just lay on the ground point it up and look at the stars. Also good for using with a telescope. Helps identify what you're looking at. Visuals are great too
Things are never in the sky where the app says they are. For instance the app shows the moon on the horizon but in fact its way WAY above the horizon. And I paid for this. I think it's cool and has a lot great info but when I look up in the sky and on the app I don't want to guess that what I'm looking at is really what it says it is because it isn't where it says it is.

I originally got this app for an astronomy class.. and that was at least two years ago. I have kept it on my phone because of how easy it is to simply look up a specific constellation or planet. From the graphics, to the easily accessible information blurbs, and the atmospheric music. I love it. Apps like these will continue the interest in space no matter the knowledge level. 🌞
