Star Walk - Astronomy Guide

Even though I now have Star Walk 2, I wanted to keep this for the simpler layout which is sometimes easier to use when sky watching. This lacks many of the features that SW2 has but just like the difference between Solar Walk & Solar Walk 2, this has aspects that weren't incorporated into the 2nd version. Ideal for an astronomy beginner & the $5 annual upgrade fee is well worth it.

The app works well, it isn't buggy or broken, but it has ads to help pay the people working on it, which isn't my issue. My issue is that back in 2016 I paid for the full version before a plan was introduced. a few years of not using it, I went to look at some stars last night, was greeted with a payment plan system. So glad to see the full version I bought became a subscription service. After that I cannot recommend this app but I won't give them a 1 star because the app work well despite ads.

AWESOME APP! This app is amazing. You can touch an object, star, planet, satellite and an info button will appear at the bottom. Touch that and it tells you all about the item with additional photos etc. The background music just takes you away while you explore the cosmos from the comfort of your chair. I haven't gone outside yet with this but plan on it. I'm sure it will help me find items in the night sky.

It used to be that buying the app got you all the features. Today I learned that they've added ads to an app I paid for years ago. That, plus the fact that the ui is broken now (pressing certain things, including the option for upgrading to the ad-free version, makes the entire ui disappear until I restart the app) means I'll be finding a replacememt app. Honestly I could forgive the ui- bugs happen, I could wait till they fix it- but the ads are just disrespectful.

Too much unnecessary stuff. I don't want 60mb of anything other than actual sky map. Do not want music, extra data on planets etc. Problem with settings menu: can't read options names- they're outside the screen. Can't zoom out far enough. I hate that. Don't care about constellations, especially images. Way, way too much bloat!

I have installed it. I want to test it before purchasing but it tried to automatically upgrade it to pro. My mobile network informed that you have tried to purchase this app. And it happened four times. But I have never tried to purchase it. This means this app tried automatically to be purchased without my wish.

idk how to contact yall, love the app, but I can't even open it! I have a galaxy s21 and I tried Uninstaller and reinstalling and it just instant crashes. I've had a subscription for almost a year!

Paid for the app in 2014 and returned to it now, only to find, to my disappointment, that it is now has frequent ads and is seemingly forcing me to convert to a paid subscription. It would be nice to continue to use what i initially paid for, so while the app used to be great, i am not happy with what it has become.

I paid app and after some time developers stopped mantaining app, and they released new aplication very similar to this one, but you must pay again. Thats bad practice, but unfortunately common. I have often problem with orientation in real time, I turn around and map follows my movement. It works for some time, but suddenly stops.

Said free app but immediately but can't use until you pay. Even says start free trial for a week. When you click on it, it changes to 3 days and asks for immediate payment. Nope!!! Uninstalled right away. Too bad Skywalk 2 also does not work.

I really reccomend this app. Its awesome to see the stars and planets in the night sky. The reason i gave it 3 stars is that it doesn't allow me to access the place where I am. I mean if i move my phone then the screen should also move showing me whats ahead. But......it does not. It makes it difficult to understand which planet is which one 😔😔 But its an awesome app.

I paid for the full app and it included satellite info as part of said package. Now recent automatic update has removed that information? You now have to pay a subscription to get that original info back. Con merchant. Do not buy either version. Shameful.

Love this app so much. It's truly awesome. However inDownloaded this app years ago. Now showing my kids through it I need to pay again? I bought everything there was for this back then. I remember it was the entire pack. All there was available. Now it doesn't remember my past purchases like so many other applications I have bought before..

i m using samsung galaxy a10 and when I move my device the sky does not move. its static. the app works like a charm on my iphone. Is samsung galaxy a10( android 9 pie ) sensor not compatible for the app to work? pls let me know if any calibration required. cant see calibration in app settings.

This app used to be amazing. Unfortunately now it crashes every time I open it. It also asks for a paid subscription despite buying the app a few years ago!

Always love the app but there is some bug issue that none of the panels are appearing. I can't search or do anything other than moving it around. Please fix it I really love to use this app for star gazing thanks!

It's phenomenal and very educative, i understand wasn't easy developing such an awesome app but I would love to get more information on the stars and setlites in the free trial 😁

Im very excited 2 use this app.So far all their apps are beautifully done and I love the stellar music playing while I successfully navigate the universe ! I will let u know more when i return from this trip.

This app is great I even used it in my science class and I got a good grade thank you vito technology for your hard work to entertain us and is the second game a remake of this one

I purchased this app many years ago and now it has way too many Ad's. And wants me to purchase it again. What's up with this way to do business?!?!?!?

Former user and payee of a license to use this program. Like other reviews, I too have bought this on iOS and as MOST developers go, you can log into, after installing, your existing account. I agree with others, this company is ripping off the public, if you already own a license.

Fantastic app, love it, however recent update lost me my controls. I can see the sky display, planets, stars... But no time slider, no sky-live, no nothing. Just a spinnable sky.... Hope this gets fixed soon. Android platform LG V20 phone.

I bought this app back when I had an iPhone, when it was on iOS only and once again on the day it came out for Android. So WHY am I being prompted to buy it AGAIN with a subscription? I don't have an issue with supporting developers for the work they that they do, but I have a big problem with them trying to extort me AFTER I had already paid 2x on 2 different mobile platforms. Greed like this is EXACTLY why people resort to piracy.

Paid for this app November 2018, never had any problem with it at all, have gone on it today and its full of ads. Checked other reviews on here and I'm disgusted with what I'm seeing, weekly subscription for an app Ive already paid for? Greedy.

I bought this app quite a while ago and found it to be a very good , useful app. What's no so good is the rip off being perpetrated by the developer. A recent update has removed the satellite information which you now haven to pay for despite already purchasing the app.

This app is filled with ads, right when your eyes get adjusted to darkness you get blinded with another ad... ads, ads, ads, ads... No sir, don't like it This app is all about the $$$ money grab... Sorry, steer clear of this app.

Fantastic star, constellation, planets, galaxy, satellites etc interactive map. The sequel is just as good if not better with a few 'additional extras'.
