This is seriously amazing. Although seemingly discontinued as of nowadays, this is very much still entertaining. However, if resource consumption could be taken down a notch, a lot of issues would be fixed. Obviously, given the point and purpose, its not a surprise. However, a simple mode allowing players to remove certain elements in hopes of retaining battery would sure be nice... All in all though, astounding job :D
It was really fun playing with it. The graphics were pretty cool and everything. But i hope that the headset could be improvised into something like a ds screen that requires cartridge. I wouldn't recommend the handphone because it gets hot after playing for just a few minutes. The hp battery drops fast too. For starters, it is difficult to set up. I would really recommend online tutorial for set up I am pretty interested to see more of it coming. A better version of it probably.
Screen locks during game play. I have tried every possible setting, but the game allows the phone to lock the screen, and it goes dark. A few minutes later the phone completely locks and I can't play the game. It's too annoying to pull the phone out and unlock the screen, especially during a battle scene. I know the developers can add that into the code. Do it and I'll give a better review.
I was hesitant when I first saw this product released, as it seemed expensive for what it offered and rather easy. I recently picked up a second hand one, and it was extremely worth it; even for the current $100 retail price. The beginning encounters are fun to share the experience with family and friends, but the difficulty satisfyingly ramps up over time. The hardware works great once you understand its nuances. I just wish they would add more saber colors and bosses; maybe it's in the works.
At first, this was the best thing I had ever owned, but even playing this for the first time it took me 30 minutes of closing and reopening the app just so my play area would stay on the beacon. To this day, I can not get anything at all, during any point while I'm playing, to stay still. My lightsaber blade won't stay centered either. I try to fix it by using the re-center button, but not even that works. I've triple checked every setup, and there are no reflective surfaces. Please, fix this.
This game is really fun at first because it makes you feel like you're a jedi. But it becomes very challenging! I know this game is not perfect but the light saber calibration gets screwed up the second it goes slightly off-screen. The play area also goes super out of sync of with where the beacon is making it so you have to move to the other side of the room to see the menus! 3/10.
It's a very realistic VR game, I can say it's very immersive, one thing though, us that it's very battery-consuming so you better have a phone which can last for more than 5 hours, furthermore, the campaigns are very well scripted, but as you go on, it gets really hectic and I'd advise people to take a break from the game every 45 or so minutes. This game can be improved but it certainly is still worth playing.
I got this as a gift and finally get the time to play it, but its not working with my S10. As soon as it gets to the bluetooth sync setup with the light saber, it wont sync, although my S10 says its paired. I've restarted the phone, disconnected bluetooth and then turned it back on to try to sync again, no luck. I've uninstalled the app and re installed it. After spending an hour with settings and such, I'm ready to through in the towel. This app isn't compatible with my phone. NOT HAPPY
Have been using it for months now and works perfectly. We picked up the headset for $50 on a black Friday special and it was worth every penny. The headset actually fits many more phones than those listed (mine is not among the list of "compatible" devices) and it's fairly simple to just flip through the various screen sizes until you find one that more or less matches yours. The whole family absolutely loves it!
Would love to recommend this, but sadly it feels like Disney abandoned Android support. The original Pixel is listed as a supported device, but newer versions of Android have broken things. I've also tried a Pixel 3, which would not power on the headset despite being a top-tier flagship Android phone that's been out for months. I suspect that many people bought this package over the black friday / cyber monday deals, and will only end up frustrated when they can't get it to work unless they have an iPhone. Super disappointing to see another great Star Wars game mishandled. To be clear, this NO LONGER EVEN WORKS on most Android phones, even some of the ones listed as officially supported. The hardware from Lenovo is extremely nice and a very impressive package, but the software from Disney is useless.
Really great game! Can set the graphics to high which makes the experience a lot better, for phones with the capability to do so, without overheating. Can get slightly laggy sometimes in short spikes, bjt that depends on the device you use. Highly recomend for Star-wars fans as it's very fun and a bit of a workout when fighting villians/heroes. Holo-chess is also a lot of fun, as well as the other things Jedi Challenges has to offer. Btw this is not an advertisement but an honest opinion! Thanks
Says it is compatible with the S8+ but the S8+ setting doesnt not align the visual box in the center, so all of the visuals are off. Because of the size of the phone, it cannot be physically moved or adjusted inside the case even as a temporary fix. Should be a simple fix on the developers end, but there is literally no customer support to contact; the link that is constantly post to contact them is an FAQ page with no contact info. Can't play, can't return to best buy because i didnt play it in time to notice and still be within the return period, not a happy customer.
game is great however it states Samsung Galaxy s8 is a compatible phone but the app has no way to keep the display on. the s8 has no setting that will keep it on so your game is interrupted every 10 min. you have to remove the phone and swipe the screen everytime. contacted both companies to resolve and each blamed the other. Now because it's an open electronic the store I got it from will not take it back. sad because I'm a huge star wars fan. please fix this glitch.
Very Bad Experience for an expensive game. Every gaming session seems to be hindered by a different bug. The hardware is poor (lightsaber keeps showing low battery even after charging). in one month of owning this, it takes at least 30 minutes to get the game operational for my son. The latest bug required us to flip the headset upsjde down just to see the menu. previously we needed to look at the ceiling. This game is far too expensive to experience such poor quality.
Gameplay freezes after initial setup and I'm having to reinstall the app every time. Real shame as the game itself is good fun but not sure it's worth the effort during setup and then crossing my fingers that it's actually going to work... Feels like the product was released before it was anywhere near ready and I've had to invest in the headset and controller to find out the app isn't up to scratch.
My phone is a new one and it's not on the list. If you do the manual fit all the graphics are very off. Looks excellent but it's very slow on updating newer smartphones. The last update was Christmas about 9 months earlier. I'd hate to guess howany new smartphones have come out since then.
DOESN'T WORK WITH SAMSUNG S9. Paired with a Samsung S9 first would have screen timeout after only 1 minute of play dispite all phone, game launcher, and setting indicating no screen lock. Had to take phone out of harness every minute and got fed up after 8 minutes of game play. There is no setting in the game to control this. Reset game and now light saber will not connect through bluetooth. Attempting to reinstall, but looking at the ratings, will probably be unsucessful.
Won't sync up with the hardware. I got the bluetooth saber connected to my phone but it refused to synchronize in the actual app, so I couldn't even set it up. No direct line to customer support either, just some useless troubleshooting and an equally useless FAQ section. Hope they change that because right now it is a complete waste of time and money.
Great fun when it works, but no Oppo Reno z profile and a little glitchy when I get it to work. If I use one of the Samsung galaxy profiles it works but the colours are all funky. It shows yellow instead of purple markers where you are meant to block and you can't see the red/green colours when you do block or dodge hits. When I use a custom profile I can see the red/green colour while blocking but the screen is so zoomed in its near impossible to play and the yellows are still purple.
Got it to work with my Galaxy Note 9 by not using the cradle and setting it with the s9+ aspect. Only problem so far is that it doesn't keep the format when I switch to the Dark side challenge. Its format is stuck on a wider aspect and the images do not line up, so it's unplayable. Doesn't seem to be any way to change it. The ship combat needs a 1 player vs CPU mode. Why haven't they come up with other games for this system. Fix a few bugs and will give 5*.
