Update: Still doesn't fit, now with the Pixel 5a w/5G. Basically unplayable because swipe back doesn't work and the on screen buttons in the menus are just cut off an inch from the bottom of my screen. The Williams Pinball app is flawless. That should help, but I don't have any faith that this will see an update on Android. I would love to play my favorite pinball game and not have to lug my Switch around. Plus Switch didn't get the Star Wars tables.
There is only one table and the rest you have to buy. The game doesn't actually fit the phone well and controls are wonky. It looked like a lot of fun. But the app could use a lot more polish and it feels like it's just a money grab. If you're required to buy the app to play. It should have more then one table available or outline a progression to unlock them.
Looks good. Sounds great. Unfortunately there is a delay in everything. Not just in gameplay, but in the home screen, settings, etc. I can't control the flippers individually, they have to be used together. It's frustrating. Things are cut off on the screen. I saw I got an accomplishment, but could only read half of it. I can't exit the app either without putting my phone to sleep then opening it then exiting. Too bad.
I am a huge fan of the marvel version of this because you can just buy it and get the levels. Just allow me to drop some money and buy all the levels at once. I loves Zen studios steam version of this game I even have it for VR. I don't know why they chose to go with this method of giving you a paywall and charging for every single table. I would have happily paid some money to get all of the tables at once but not the way they are doing this. Edit: yes, all in one game. No switching, in packs.
They need to learn what free means. If I download a game thats free only to find out I need to spend $0.99 to buy a single table then how exactly is that game free? Makes me feel like EA owns this app. Now aside from that the game plays both portrait and landscape just fine but the menu navigations only work in landscape so it was a bit frustrating to get everything to work. I say save your money and buy a better pinball game for your home console or pc.
This game is broken for anyone with a new phone. It is zoomed in while not even being full screen. It took me a while to find the settings button, and there wasn't any setting to fix the problem. To top it off the app is $2 and all you get is one machine. Each additional one is another $1. The app should come with 2 machines at the very least.
Not a great fit for the P20 Pro. **Reply. The top/bottom of the app are cut off by the screen, and I can't remedy this with phone settings. I can still play, but sometimes I need to go landscape to make a button visible, then return to portrait.
Looked through my Google Play, it said I've purchased this app. I thought I'd give it a try. But I literally can't do anything except navigating in the menu since the game came with exactly 0 levels for me. A paid app that you can't play unless you pay more for each level. --- Edit: I don't know if you have changed something, now it appears. Before I checked each one of them and none were available. At least it works now.
I haven't played this in a while. I've purchased every table and now I can't play it at all?? Won't stay in portrait mode and when it switches out of portrait mode the table doesn't fit on my phone screen. Either fix it or you need to refund what I've paid for the tables. Virtually unplayable.
Still a poorly developed app, had issues playing in 2018 (screen, delays, crackles and etc), tried again 2019 and now 2022. Just bad. On top of which, developers continue to fail at maintaining and updating the app. Last reported update was 2018....Simply put, stay AWAY.... straight up honest review....
The boards are fun enough that I keep coming back, but overall the app has poor function. Can't back out of a board without closing the app, can't see the full board. Hell I've learned about upper flippers just because I happened to be touching my screen when the ball happened to be next to it and got sent flying.
Great game plays well looks good but an update to make it fit the screen of newer phones is ESSENTIAL. it doesn't even need to change anything else just fix this resolution issue. This app gets enough money that I would think an update for this issue would be easy to get and quickly produced but the problem has existed for well over a year for me with no update in sight. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!
Absolutely Brilliant! Fancied being a pinball wizard, and I wasnt planning on being glued to my phone for so long that it was necessary to sit next to outlet but im also not complaining, controls are excellent; my device was cumbersome vertical but beautiful horizontal so thank you profoundly for that design feature. Worth every penny!
Does not scale properly on Pixel 4a. Completely ridiculous and unplayable. EVERY OTHER APP on the store has figured out how to fit itself on all Android phones. Parts of the UI are just inaccessible, leaving me no way to leave a table or get back to the main menu. Gross.
I love this game...on my old phone. On my new Moto G Power, the screen is wonky. It's too zoomed in and cuts off the bottom of the board, making it basically unplayable. It's a shame since this is a really nice game and I used to play it during break!
Don't get this at all you buy the app then you have to buy the damn tables to play the game as well talk about rip off looked to good to be true then it is. Yes I want my money back too many free games out there to waste on this. Good luck Developers nice rip off. Zero stars
Star Wars Pinball Is An Excellent "Arcade" Style Pinball Game. Gameplay 4-5*, Graphics 4-5* And Sound 4*. Good Value If Purchased, During Discount Period. Comes With EPV (Empire Strikes Back). ** Must Be Uploaded To Device **. Pinball Action Is Good. Missions Can Require Quite A Few Lane Shots. Can Be Difficult Achieving Goal. Hard To Get Ball To Other Flipper, And Stopping It. Pinball Dynamics Somewhat Predetermined. Good Game, But Never Feel In Control. Just Like With "The Pinball Arcade". 4*.
Great, but absolutely anything but user friendly. Backing out of something is extremely hard, and this is problenatic because after I go to check out the description of a machine, I usually have to restart my game in order to get out of it.
The aspect ratio is not compatible with Pixel 2 XL for a long time. Screen gets cropped off and becomes a major distraction from a great game. Wish they come out with a fix.
Have played for years and years. Loved it. Has changed. They seem to not want people to play since the pandemic. They always tinkered with the physics but since covid they have gone off the reservation. Just charge us more so we can just play pinball please. Don't punish us and not tell us why.
Loved this game on my S8. Now on S10 and it only displays within 1/4 of the screen. Read other reviews and others have had scaling issues with modern devices going back to the beginning of 2018. Have you guys still not resolved scaling issues?!
It's could be play offline but there only one map you can play but the others you have to buy and thats the only down side of this game by far for me. The high score different depending on which side you use Dark/Light which can easily be switch on the menu.
I own an LG Stylo 4 and no matter how I scaled the app the UI would just never fit properly, cutting off pretty much everything at the bottom. This app seriously needs to be optimized better, I didn't have these problems with previous Zen Pinball games I've played.
They advertise 19 tables available. What they do not tell you is you only get 1 table for £1.69. You have to pay £1.69 19 times to unlock and play different tables. Costing over an eye watering £32 for a basic mobile game. Uninstalled and got refund immediately after finding out. Ripoff
This app crashes every time on my 2015 Nvidia Shield TV with latest updates as of 12-27-2020. It only goes as far as playing "the empire strikes back" audio and then crashes. Tried uninstalling and installing again. Fail.
Unfortunately I had to ask for a refund. I'm on a OnePlus 6T and some buttons are not visible on the screen. I couldn't find an option to resize it, so I had to uninstall it. Looks like a great game though. If this gets fixed will definitely buy it again. EDIT: Thank you so much for answering an looking for a fix! I hope hi-res is supported in the near future :)
