Linguistic/interface issues w/ currency. Hong Kong (app; version) has only Mandarin (or Cantonse--appears to be Mandarin from reg. auto- email). Will need HK dollars via Starbucks card if HK dollars. 多謝アランダヲ!
App not usable after a "minor update to enhance user experience". Apparently, at least some of your shops do not provide wifi access before purchase via app, so cannot update in those cases :(
Despite the recent update, the issue with credit card registration is still having issues. Registering a mastercard gives the following error: "Your transaction was unsuccessful, please check your details and try again." The issue is already hampering the experience and now it's counter intuitive to have to walk up to the counter to reload and order at the counter. Sort it out. Had to downgrade review from a previous 4 star to 2 stars.
Useful but clunky and not very intuitive, information not that easy to find (or see, small print!). Would be nice when an item is out of stock (which they frequently are) to suggest a replacement rather than having to go looking for it.
Completely unusable. App just stopped working. I can cycle through menus so I know it is responding, but no other button on the screen works. Can't pay, can't look at my cards, can't order, can't even sign in or out. Useless.
The overall experience is fine but the order function of it always takes a much longer time to load. It took me more than 15 mins to make my order today and failed in the end because it just kept loading. Also i have had quite a number of times when I have to update the app in front of the cashier right when I have to pay. That simply defeats the purpose of having an app in the first place.
I love this app so much! You earn a star everytime you spend $20. When you get to 25 stars, you can upgrade to the Green level. You have to buy a Starbucks Card in order to use this app to its fullest, and it lets you do a lot of things, like order ahead to skip queues, or let Starbucks deliver straight to your house! You can even personalize your own drinks to get it perfect. It even provides free upgrades from time to time! This app is super easy to use and so fun to receive rewards! Try it ❤❤
App works great, highly recommended to personalise your coffee and skip the queues. It could be improved by allowing stores to be added to favourites, its irritating having to do a full map search every time I want to change store, I only use two!
This app makes me drink lots of coffee and I want to gather more bonus points to feel that false sense of achievement, with which I am rewarded with even more caffeine! It provides a fun little sidequest in my life and gives me a reason to pop into starbucks and see if that cute waitress is there and possibly spend money on buying a fancy mug or espresso cup I would otherwise not think twice about buying. 5 stars! ps. It's very user friendly and easy to use.
Free shot bug has been fixed for some time. (But would be helpful if the free shot discount is displayed earlier in the order.) No complaint any more. App interface organization not the best; can be improved.
Long time user and over the last two days the app crashes right before i confirm the order. i tried reinstalling, rebooting, and sleeping on it. still crashing and ordering as a non-app user at Man Yee Building during rush hour at this stage is a nightmare (i waited 15 mins and breakfast was forgotten. help!
Still can't use the Mobile Order function. It's been almost a month, and the phone rep said they've had other reports before I got in touch with them. How hard is it to revert back to the last one, fix the current one, then launch the improved one?
Slow app: too many clicks required for reordering your favourite order and each click is very slow to process. And app forces you to upgrade if there is an update rather than letting you proceed with order and upgrade later. Poor user experience.
Please let us add our favourite shop, and products (not by the whole receipt)
1. It would be great if we can set more than 1 kind of drinks as favorites. 2. The app just stops working immediately after I enter the address in the delivery service system, qaq pls fix it, thanq.
Great app when it works, but becomes really buggy from time to time( (with new updates?)..cant log in, account locked, random error messages..quality control weak!
Uninstalling. Even though I've switched off notifications, I repeatedly get notifications every day. If they can't get this simple thing right I seriously wonder how secure this app is
App will no longer accept my MasterCard. Took customer service nearly 3 weeks to work out it was because they changed the app to only accept cards that have OTP function. I use a debit MC, and OTP isn6 necessary. So now I have to reload in the store, using my card...🤦🏻♂️
i updated the app last week and now it won't let me auto reload or manually reload. i actually had some money left on the card and it indicates $0. i emailed customer service and it didn't respond at all. please fix this.
Terrible Allways having problems with app needs updates all the time!! I had been trying to order for the longest time and decided to stop using it. For a billion dollar company the app is horrible!! Uninstal!!
Very unhappy customer. I moved from HK to Europe and I have no way to keep my gold status. Still receiving pushed ads I will uninstall it ASAP. This customer experience is so annoying that I will avoid Starbucks for good. Perhaps this is a final gift from Starbucks.
Updates required too frequent. Many times when I wanted to pay by the app, it required an update which cannot be deferred. I had to pay by cash finally. Frustrating.
it fails to load all the time. i can't transfer the balance from one card to another, so i can't make any order with the balance on different cards.
I love the app, but I couldn't get a new password serval times, even after I press the "forgot password" button and I don't understand why.
Infuriating app which requires a fresh login and password every time it's opened. Useless! Uninstalled.
It works eventually. It's not good when you're in a rush.
I use the app often, but there are a few little problems: 1) The menu items do not display the prices (until checkout); 2) Sometimes, items available at a store were however "out of stock" on the menu, so a purchase may have to be either done totally offline or broken into two transactions! 3) Navigating between sub-menus/items isn't as smoothly n quickly as hoped due to "page reloading"
