So far so good just had a few little technical problems but it's okay I hope to have a long lasting service with you guys and I'm the first customer at this building at the Archer so maybe y'all can make an example out of me and let me have my cable for free just to show everybody else that you guys are really about it
Everyday I notice drops in connections for a few minutes at a time. I have my own networking setup, so I know the issue is from the ISP and not local. If reliable connection is a priority for you, Starry is not the right choice. Even right now, I'm writing this review over 4G. When contacting support, I've been given vague answers such as "our network engineers have fixed your issue". Speeds are variable with the weather.
CS doesn't really help fix issues.. just takes a long time to 'diagnose the issue' but it all ends up at 'We've forwarded the issue to our team' and nothing happens after. The connectivity is terrible and unreliable during rainy weather and unreliable even wo the rain. Been using Starry for 3 years, but this recent weather has been putting it to test and CS isn't really holding up the other end. :(
Not recommended at all if you are working from home. The internet is not stable especially in the morning and noon. I complained it many times and the starry only creates a request number and no one takes it seriously. The technion support is very unresponsive, and they keep asking about the power outage since I keep rebooting my router. There is frequent disconnection, slow speed, unresponsive supports. Leave starry if need internet to do something serious. I have changed to other provider.
I am having bad experience with Starry. The speed was good, but I am facing compatibility issues. Few applications in my android devices not working properly. I am getting WiFi6 by default but this is not compatible for all devices. I submitted the resolution ticket for this issue but it's been more than 15 days but still I am not able to get the help from Starry. It is very difficult to get the in-person appointment to avail the service from Technician.
I'm so glad I got this ISP! And so glad our building manager installed it. It is incredibly fast esp compared to what I had before which was ATT for 3Mbps speed for $50, Starry gives me at least 100Mbps and only paying a flat rate of $30 a month. Thanks for being an accessible ISP and hope you're able to spread out in other places that need cheap but good internet.
I have never had an issue with Starry they have quick and responsive CS and my connection couldnt be any better not one issue in the entire year i have had this service. I pay $30 a month ! And ilai plan on continuing my service for years to come
Intermittent connection issues. Customer service will always blame it in the front end even if the problem is from their end. Today for example, I got disconnected and they blamed it in the modem to router connection on my house, even that service was restored shortly afterwards without any intervention from my side (no one was even at home, in case someone suspected micro vibrations has fixed it as customer service reported :D)
This app is useless... All the options that are listed here are not developed in the app. I have downloaded in an Android phone and iPhone as well... I cant see who is connectes and can't even change my router password here. Is a waste... I hate Starry
Really easy to control your children's internet access. Easy to use app and interface on the router itself. Stable and fast thus far, and no throttling I can notice. Early days but so far so good.
Only allows update to basic account info and connects you to the router configuration. Can't even give you basic network info like outage information or usage statistics, nothing like what their screenshots show.
Great and easy to use! I love that Starry makes it easy to interact with my router and easily edit settings from the app. I've never had this easy of an experience with a router or ISP.
I downloaded this app as I was told by the installation worker that I can manage the network on this app. No. It doesn't has such features. It has only the basic functions like paybill, update phone and number , or get help from the robot that clearly speak another language. I just don't get why Google allow such deceive app publish it !
It's a simple app. But if I ever need anything, they aim to solve my problem. So far, in 2 years, I've only had 1 issue and they fixed it in a reasonable amount of time. And as a breath of fresh air, the technicians are honest and don't try to BS.
simple and functional app that provides devices, performance data, and an easy interface to modify name/password. great experience so far with starry all around!
Starry service is great for speed. The app only works with their Launch router...they tell me that they'll update it to work with their others as well (I have a Zxyel). Support is 24/7 so no complaints there.
Edit to my original issue: they got back to me really fast and was surprised that they were able to handle it so well, still waited a long time for info tho
12-day customer unhappy ++ w unreliable service & a blatant marketing lie. Signal down multiple x: Calls dropped, TV service stops, computer internet down. Highly frequent short-term, temporary loss of pc Internet signal that seems to get resolved on its own. Customer service is avail 24 hours. Unless tech issue requires "Senior Expert Team." I was told to expect an EMAIL response w/in 24-48 hours. 24-to-48 hours? By email? Update: After months of above, I returned to RCN. Zero problems.
Easy to use
Latest update took away the usage chart. Why do that? I was a great tool to see what time family members and kids were active on their devices. Now it just gives you total usage for the day. Not happy about that move at all.
Great customer service and great speed. Pretty upfront too, esp when compared to other internet providers I've used.

Simple interface! i have power on this App!
I didn't get to have it set up for an hour before the trouble. The technician, after setting up the motem and router told me I could change the username and password from the to something of my choice and handed me a link to lynksys where I could make the change. It said once done the equipment would shut off and to restart it, sign into my wifi and I could get to work. Wrong It wouldn't accept my wifi and I couldn't get back online and no you can't get help at all times. Urgent is 2hrs away
