I love this so much its great to chat with friends but, the reason there is only 4 stars is because the audio for calls is quite bad my friends can never hear me! But besides that the app is great, but maybe you could add filters in calls? That would be nice!
App is fantastic to use, only thing to improve on I would say would be there is a problem with sound on the video calls, it is very quiet, although the audio calls you can hear better on. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating
I give it 2.5 stars but there's no option for that. It's a so so app. Notifications can take hours or don't show at all until I open the app. If app is running in the background I don't get notifications about messages received either. Some messages take forever to show up in the conversation. No way to download received pics? This app is lagging behind every other texting apps out there is not even funny.
This app is AWESOME!! You can seriously do anything on here like normal texting but like child approved! You can literally video chat and call!! This app is amazing!!! I recommend this app to every kid who's always wanted to text their friends or family!! Plus this app is pretty safe as well ! Love it get it NOWWWW ❤️❤️❤️
Over all its a good app but I get the messages after such a long time or randomly I won't get the notifications so it's like I'm ghosting someone. So annoying, gonna find an alternative app because I've had enough. (It's not a problem with my WiFi or data because I get notifications from other appas and I can watch YouTube without a problem)
I have recently started using this app and found that the video caller is very very quiet, did a test the other way round and again, the caller was very very quiet. I left a message about this problem on the Stars Help 2nd Jan, no reply as yet. I will give this app 5 stars when this problem is resolved.
Good messaging app for kids, if it worked. Notifications sometime's doesn't work at all and you have to log in to get any. Both patent and kids devices.
This app is good but the video call sessions are difficult to end easily resulting in broken sessions. The video chat seems to disappear if you click onto something else. It's like it loses focus then gets stuck running in the background. But for people, including kids, who don't have a SIM yet it's a good and safe way to get them chatting with friends and they can have their own accounts.
Awesome app!! We wanted a way for our kids to be able to text us and a few specific friends/grandparents in a limited/safe way. This app is PERFECT!! No adds. No in-app purchases. Secure. Safe from random contacts. It's about as family-friendly as you can get! Installation of app was smooth and simple and it doesn't take up much space memory-wise. Thanks for a great product!!
I love the simplicity and privacy of this app, but, the following: messages don't always show up in the group chat. New message alarm mostly doesn't sound. My text settings always reset to the default every time I open the app again. Audio files have to be played from my external music app. No option to delete a message I've sent. No video chat option. No personal configurations like whether I want pictures and audio to download automatically or not. Please fix these things!
Stars is great for people who want to text friends and family without a SIM card. I love the concept but I wish the app would have more options. For example all you do is text and video call but it would be better if you could have a video call with more than just one person. Other than that it is great and everyone should install this app!
This blessed app has hung on me more times than I've actually used it. Despite having turned on the notifications feature of this app, I miss out on every single message and call I get on it. To say nothing of the time it actually takes the app to start working and, I feel almost, begrudgingly let me get in touch with my kids. It is literally the most painful app i have ever used in my considerable life.
Help needed. Can't see or hear in chats. Video works for self only. Audio works for neither device??..ok wait wait..so invite then invite? Can you make a picture tile? Nonverbal daughter. Add in settings with passcode or something as option with parent pin code? Should be pretty secure if guardian continues to be on friends list. My kid is temporarily staying elsewhere while I get a place and ... I need to see her. Or do you know a diff app? Honestly? 5 stars for help 4 simplicity. Autism.
Very good I text my friends and my family but there can bs fixes in some bits. It freezed my phone and it was when I was on a call with someone on stars
The concept of this app is great, but it only works if you are connected to Wi-Fi and even if you're connected to Wi-Fi it doesn't always recognize it. The app is constantly saying "connecting". You can send texts but the other person won't receive it until the app decides it wants to connect to the Wi-Fi. If these bugs get fixed then this app would be amazing for kids!
Stars is a great app but calls are really glitch you can't hear the other person and the keep buffing but it is a great app to text but the calls are bad

I absolutely loved this, let me talk to my friends and everything I talked to my friends all the time and some time we video call. You should really download it.
The idea of the app is great. But the mechanics of it arent. I dont receive notifications on my phone to let me know when i have been messaged or when someone is calling me even though the notifications are on. It is very slow in recieving messages and sometimes puts the messages in the wrong order of time being sent. Great idea though
Needs a few more features. I would like to be able to change the display name. I feel my child is safe using it but I'd like to be able to delete or block a contact once they have been added (lets be real now cyber bullying towards children often comes from people they know). Not a lot of point having a help function that doesn't respond either. Really like the fact you can change the pin so it can't be forwarded on.
This app is awesome. I use it literally everyday since it is super safe and secure. I can make so many groups in just naming it and adding my friends.But the only problem is when you delete groups it doesn't delete it, it just says "this conversation is no longer avalible" and now my phone is full of deleted groups and it is really annoying.Nevertheless it is really good quality. Thank you so much for making this app creators.~Bye~
I like the idea of this app but it keeps losing contacts/conversations. The security around adding contacts is one of the things I really like, but that means re-adding contacts frequently is a pain. Have to switch to another app.
This was a good app until about 3 or 4 days ago when it just stopped working. It wouldn't connect to receive new messages or give me notifications of new messages (although these have always been random and inconsistent). I tried signing out and back in but I just get a loading screen. Such a shame as this is other wise a good app for keeping in touch with the kids in our family.
It was ok but if you want to log out so people won't see your orginal texts. Bad idea, it just resets back to start a new chat with your friends and family. Problery a bad suggestion to use this app. I hope this imformation has helped you people to understand the meaning in my words that are coming out of my mouth. Thank you!
I had to uninstall the app before and I got it back and it won't let me use the same Email
I like this app but there need to be fixes.When I am trying to write a important text it just logged me out and it does it very often.Overall I will rate this app a 3/5 Hopefully this helps you
It works but i can't be on 2 apps on the same time when i face time so pls fix that and some pictures i can't see so yeah fix that too
The concept is great and seems safe and easy to use. Sadly the sound on multiple devices is very quiet. On tablets the volumne is very low and cannot be turned up and there is no option on phones to use speaker rather than earpiece. This make video calls impossible. Surely a simple fix and i would then re rate 5 stars. Android 12
