Absolutely love. One recommendation might be to add a KM conversion option to replace miles distinct from weight and height. (Difficult to find otherwise in face of intent too).
I've never been running before and overall a very unfit person. The first 3 runs I have struggled and will repeat until I get used to that. I suggest other people to do that to if they feel the need. After first week my legs are already getting a bit used to it. Breathing while running I need to work on - if your like this Youtube running breathing techniques.
Great app, speaks notifications when you need to start walking/running, so I can keep listening to my music.
Love this app... Truly takes you by the hand through the initial stages of running. Tried to start running without it and failed many times... Now me and my dog are actually enjoying running daily.
Frequent crashes. Nothing worse than running and realising you're running non stop coz the app has stopped working
I injured my ankle awhile ago. This was a great way to build up strength and endurance gradually without injury.
I am almost all the way through level 1. I hate running, and this app has made it a little less awful. I like the way it steps you up a little at a time and gives you goals to work towards / something to be proud of. I found some of the increments in level 1 to be too intense, and had to repeat several exercises before I was ready to move on to the next. I wish they made it clear that this is part of the process because I found it discouraging at times when I had to repeat a workout.
Love that I don't have to look at my phone while running. the verbal prompts are so helpful!
Very simple to use and overall effective. It also pushes me and has improved my distance
So I'm a total running newb, but this app took me from loving hiking trails to loving RUNNING trails! Simple & effective!
The app itself is really good for beginners (like me) wanting to start and maintain a healthy habit. It does what it is supposed to do, although sometimes the audio is laggy, especially if you're listening to music at the same time. At times, the voice is missing completely in a workout. Please fix! Also, I wish it was able to see the workouts ahead and possibly skip one if I feel like picking up the pace a bit. I would love an update! To finish with praise, the ads are unintrusive! Thanks!
It's a decent app that helped me get back into running again. Simple and easy to use. The problems I have are options to mute or even lower the countdown and voice. Another problem that I noticed with the app, it does not like to have other apps open while the work out is going. I'll have 3 other apps open or running in the background. I'll change music and put the device in my pocket. A 2 min walk became 5 mins because the app closed itself.
I'm a bicyclist who had to switch to running due to a broken shoulder. Running always hurt my back in the past, but I am finishing level 2 and still doing great. I restarted level 2 due to an illness and I've really liked the way it's organized to help you deal with needing to back up. I use the repeat workout feature a few times when it felt too hard to continue to advance. I also like listening to music while running and the audio prompts overtake the music well. Great paid app!
I absolutely love this app! I have always struggled with running but wanted to still do cardio when all of the pools closed down. I found this app and liked the way it worked up running times while providing breaks. The app is set up so you can select a time goal. Fair warning: these goals are dependent on you being able to meet the previous running goal. My one complaint is the inability to skip ahead to a more challenging time set or even to see ahead to upcoming runs.
I got halfway through level 1, and then it just stopped working. Asked me to pay or share a link on social media. I shared the link and it still won't let me continue. I'm basically being forced to find a new app. I'm disappointed. The difficulty increase was bad anyway though. I see now some apps go from 60 sec running to 90, while this one jumps straight to 120. I had to redo a lot of workouts to get through the difficulty spikes, which was discouraging. GPS didn't always work either.
I really like this app, it does exactly what I wanted it to. Appears to be very stable running on my Pixel 2, never once has it crashed or lost any of my run data. I'd like to see an option to customise the voice feedback of remaining time; minutely reminders are a bit too frequent once you get into the longer runs. All-in-all a good app and well worth the cost to get the premium verison IMO.
UPDATE: the issue was fixed !! i usually really appreciate the app bc it makes it easier to start running on a regular basis. however this morning it wouldn't let me start the workout. i tried to shut down my phone and open it again, i tried to force the app to stop and open it again. nothing. everything in the app worked except the "start workout button". it is already hard enough to find the motivation to run, so that was extremely frustrating.
I have used a number of running and fitness apps and this one is one of my top favs. It's simple yet effective, minimal ads, no bugs. It's straight to the point with little distractions. I'm no a trainer or fitness expert but I'd say the training has achievable difficulty increments. I used it after having my 3rd child and having not run consistently in over 3 years before pregnancy. The beginner's run program was challenging in an invigorating way and helped me achieve some goals.
Just started but it seems good... Will update later once i progress. I started using it this app In December 2021. I have never really run in my life .. I'm 49 years old. Running 3 mins without stopping was like my lungs was going to explode. But now 17 April 2022 I can clock in a 46 min run.. it's not easy but I did it!! Working towards 60 mins as we speak.. THANK YOU to the developers of this app. You have really helped giving ppl the discipline to maintain goal towards running!!!
