Easy to navigate, great returns but it's become very glitchy and keeps crashing. Also takes a painfully long time to transfer funds. If you need to switch to use a different bank, that's another glitch. It's exhausting!
Don't do it, once you sign up there will be a mountain of sluge just to leave, beside the market insider repot. The interface is not smooth and moves to slow regardless of what device I'm on iPad, laptop, and 2 different phones. And now I find my self spending an hour and more just to cancel my account for good all because I didn't pressed "Close my Stash for good". I pressed "Cancel Subscription" and found my self continuously paying for the subscription for another 4 months without realizing.
Everything was fine until one day my account was locked. It says keep a lookout for an email to resolve this issue but I haven't received a email regarding this since it said my account was locked. Very disappointed considering I have money locked up and can't fix my account through the app.
It's an app. It's not going to replace an advisor. Not everybody is going to like everything about this app. I have used for a few years and had only one issue with the company when I closed a bank account and tried to add another. Got that issue fixed and have been slowly building wealth over the long haul. Just do your homework.
I Hae used Stash for sometimeOver all the experience has been agood one. I do feel if youre looking for a set it and forget it kind ofplatform with a bit more Control and choice They allow you to pick stocks and etfs or hand it off to be done for you at a reasonable rate. I highly recommend this app for people who are wanting exposer to the market and Holding long positions and learning the basics that what this app will help with.
Pretty user friendly. Positively right for beginners and new inverters all the way up to professional and experienced financiers as well... Not much protection from overdraft prevention or anything. Usually due to long delayed processing times. I presume... Good app in general though.
Good idea/too many flaws. Ive been with stash 2yrs& took the plunge. perks, advice, etc. portfolios grew fast, Wow! check acct isnt bad; early deposits, fast credits but no after hrs support. Dont expect knowledgeable staff/on the spot help like a real bank. Lots of back n forth, via email/diff rep each time is like 3rd world banking! Any offer/promo is a lie! I fell for several/ they nvr fulfilled! Ive lost$ as they randomly withdraw funds they cannot account for nor return. *randon Stashers
My app worked fine for about a year or so, but now I can't even get it to open. I've contacted support multiple times, and their answer is always "check for updates". I used to love the app, but now I'd give it zero stars, if possible. It's extremely frustrating.
The app itself is ok but at $9 a month it kinda Expensive for what you get, and they want you to upgrade your account and spend even more money a month. I should transfer all my money to Robinhood and save some money. I Think $4.99 a month would be a much better price point. They would probably get more customers. All I do is lose money money every month anyway.
Fix your app please. I'm not getting stash party alerts and I have to sign in everytime. Make login automatic with pincode again instead of a full login. This just happened on the last update. Also I am unable to login on the app even after putting in emailed security code. It's been going on for a month now
I haven't been able to use the app since I got my S21+. It just refreshes back to the sign in screen when I try to login. And since I don't really think it it when on my laptop I rarely login anymore. I like the service but the app needs work and the app is what I'm rating here. I liked it ok on my old phone.
I'm enjoying the app. It makes it easy to invest and check on the investments. Loses a star for not having an easy way to add a beneficiary. C'mon Stash, I can add beneficiaries right through the Robinhood app and your app is way better! You can fix it! I believe!
App is great..well-made, and easy to use. I'm just a absolute moron when it comes to stocks and such. So that's on me.. not the app. I put in 5$ for free and they gifted me 20.. which was a good way to hook ya. Lol but hey, the way I look at it is I was given 15$ to play around with and learn. So it's all good to me... but app is very legit and quick.
I'm really not liking this app. They keep taking my $1 for subscription every month but so conveniently say they can not deposit my $5 direct deposit failed and it's been doing this for months. I tried to even take off my linked card and it won't allow me to. I'm upset they keep doing this. I have screen shots of this and I need my money.
I actually say 4.5 stars but i can't make a half star. App is exceptionally easy to navigate but the monthly fee is there whereas Robinhood and Vanguard are free, among others. At the $1 monthly level, this is a great app for novice investors to get started. They offer a number of creative methods to sock away your twos and fews and there's technically an online back account included with debit card and no additional monthly fee.
Everytime I want to un subscribe it makes it difficult to do so. Everytime I try to complete the steps necessary to quit it takes forever to load or wont entirely. Terrible app regardless of all that. Wish I never downloaded in the first place.
Well I can't put the review I just typed up and wanted to put. Another eye opener to this joke. I got this from winning free investment with it, tried to invest, two days later, investments were denied and money returned, wrong amount also. Tried support to no help. Finally got through on phone, told missing money was annual fees, which I never saw or knew that it had when I downloaded it. Either way difficult to use, cannot withdraw money, annual fee comes off tho. No money made no money lost.
I guess because of sunk cost fallacy and the free penny stocks they give out almost weekly, I'm still a user. This is the 2nd stock app I've ever used (Robinhood being the 1st & I left because of betrayal). At first, everything worked but now I can't sell a piece of a stock I own, I have to sell everything. I've contacted support & they were no help. They told me to try it on a desktop? This is an app for a phone, it was much harder to use on a desktop AND it didn't resolve my issue.
This is the second time I've won money playing a game on fb, The last time I was never paid and I completed everything expected. That was a month and a half ago. So maybe I'll actually get paid this time ? But other than that I have nothing bad to say about this app. It seems to work nicely. I can just sit back on my Samsung Smart phone and check Stock prices. My phone is junk and old and I hope to have good luck with the Stash app so I can afford a New Apple I phone 12 or 13 pro. Who knows ?.
Switched banks to Chime. It's listed, but won't connect. Tried every update. Will. Not. Connect. To. Chime. Account is currently connected to an account that was closed almost a year ago.
Terrible! They locked my account for no reason saying for security reasons and wanted me to upload ID and bank statement. Mind you this was Friday at 6pm. Locked both investment account and Banking account that I use with my Stash debit card. Unlocked investment side 2 hrs later. It's 3 days later and I still can't access my $$$ on the banking side. I'm beyond infuriated! Told me it would be another 1-2 business days. So my debit card is still locked! No mention of documents needed prior either!
The only issue I have with this app is the occasional long wait for transfers to complete. It's annoying to wait three days for my own money while the transfer is 'in review.'
Worst thing I've ever tried. I should have known when instead of depositing the required $5 they made me do another $5. Sold off all my stock after they raised my $1 subscription cost to $9. After closing the account they still charge me another subscription cost of $9. On my bank statements I have three different charges for subscription costs of $1 $3 and $9 without ever getting it switched myself. Still waiting on my money over a month. Worst app ever. Turn around, run if you like your money.
Warning: Don't sign up. Once they have your money they stall giving it back. It's been over a month closing my account and I still haven't received my money. I've had my account for 5 years. Their customer support is useless. Look up their BBB complaints, 390 in the last 12 months. They are not accredited with BBB. I'm not the only one who has had issues with them.
Love the app and the whole concept... But I have not been able to log in all day. I keep getting an error message to 'try again later'. I see on Stash's twitter feed that this issue was supposedly resolved, but, at least for me, the app is still inaccessible... Help!
Slow. Limited Stock & ETF selection. Cannot search by dividend yields. Poor graphs/projections; no dividend tracker. No custom rules for investments besides a buggy simple reoccurring purchases that often resets . Other than that, it's has basic features, and has a decent UI. Support is also powerless in some cases.
