Worked pretty well. I'm disappointed that I can't use single quotes (for contractions, like "I'm" and "that's") in my description, and it's frustrating to see that the captured image has way more background included than in the preview image. But overall, a very smooth experience. OCR for the VIN photo might be a neat addition, with OpenCL being so easy to use now... :)
This app is just a way for the insurance company to get you to do their work for them. It also does not work well. I spent 20 min installing it, figuring out the wierd navigation, and taking the many pictures they wanted only to have all my work lost when I tried to use the back key. I uninstalled it immediately. Also the video they sent with it on how to use it crashed my phone.
Rather easy to use. The angled pictures of the vehicle was difficult to line up with outline they showed for my car but that's just a basis to show you where they want the picture taken from. Easier to use in open parking lot if available. Side of the road wouldn't be a great idea because the distance you need for proper pictures. Certainly easier than waiting for meeting with an adjuster. Would use again.
Doesn't work on a tablet like they said it would. Taking pictures is horrific. The viewfinder is extremely small thought the picture is full size, so I had to take every picture multiple times. Could not submit photos, etc. The app kept locking up. The only way to try again was to close the app and then then all the pictures I had taken previously were gone. They were not in the app, not in my gallery, no where to be found. This app needs to be rewritten from scratch! A most user-UNfriendly app!
Cool app but it's very touchy, very picky, and its inability to take a detailed photo WITHOUT flash or zoom features makes it less than perfect. But more than anything, I totally disagree with these companies having their customers doing the work their employees used to do. People need better people, not better automation. Thanks for reading.
Watched the video 3 times. Attempted to show damage using "DENT" and touched damaged area and would not show up on "Heat Match" Called for support and support said, "Don't worry about it, just take good photos." Hopefully my photos will be enough. Overall, just get rid of the program and have customers send in photos of the damaged areas. Very frustrating and doesn't really help when the customer is going through a difficult time dealing with the situation.
The app was a bit tricky, didn't like that the image car kept moving in the beginning, where i had to mark damage on my vehicle. I did not like that i could not up load pictures already taken and that i was forced to use their camera. Over all it was easy to use, i just feel there could be an added features like a save work in progress.
The concept is awesome. Directions were easy to understand and follow, and the "additional pictures" option gives room for things outside the standard photos required. It would have gotten 5 stars except, as with almost every review I read, I found the simulation vehicle part to be slow, tedious, and I still don't see the point. Technically, the app needs to be tweaked, but it definitely beats waiting for an in person appointment.
Simple and very user friendly. The best benefit is it eliminates the big inconvenience of a round trip drive to a SF approved repair facility then waiting for their estimate. This process took 5 min from the comfort of home. The vehicle damage is extremely frustrating to begin with, the ease and convenience of using this app helped take the edge off.
Fairly easy to use if you are in the auto repair industry and familiar with how and what types of photos to take for an insurance company. Just don't accidentally hit the "Submit" button before your ready, once you do there's no going back, very poor feature of this app.
This app is easy to use to take photos and submit damage information to State Farm. I just wish there was an option to attach additional photos from my cell phone that I am able to actually Circle where's some dents or scratches are that are hard to see because of the Reflection from taking a photo of a shiny vehicle...
I have never used anything like this before and it was extremely easy. It walked me through each step. I really liked the picture outlines to illustrate the angles for the photos. Also the simulation model to put dents and scratches to demonstrate the damage was very helpful.
Garbage app. It took 2 days to get the code to unlock the app. It deleted my written description. After rewriting the description, there was some unexpected error when I submitted the app. Then it deleted all the images I took (It is too dark to retake them, which I shouldn't have to do). I then restared the app only to find everything reset. The photo outline a was scewed and CG was slow. It would have been faster and easier to take it to them to have it looked at.
I would have given it 5 stars, but it is primarily set of for external damage. My damage was from a rodent chewing interior wires so I had to place pics that did not match the description. There also was a limit on characters so I couldn't fully explain the pics. Otherwise the app is useful and easy to use.
The app lagged a little when I was trying to take the pictures and didn't Focus well on the VIN number. But overall was extremely easy to use and much easier than having to take it somewhere to have them look at it. I've only used this for minor damage and it has worked really well.
Not a perfect app but I can see the appeal. With time I can see how this would be better thelan an appraiser going to a shop. I would need the ability to take more pictures and add documents to the claim. Overall the concept is great but the application can be improved upon.
I have not yet seen the result of using the pocket estimator versus having an actual adjuster come out but as far as using the app it is very easy, very self-explanatory and very convenient. Would be more helpful if one could directly upload photos from phone since most of the time photos are taken at the scene or within a period of time of the damage occuring. Lots of reflection so had trouble scanning vin# does not have a way to adjust lighting. Overall great App!
Very easy to use. Guides you step by step how to take the photos of your damaged vehicle properly. Lastly, I like that I can include 3 additional photos of my choice to upload, which are more close up and detailed. Helps you get an estimate faster. No complaints here.
This would be a great tool if it worked. I have attempted to take a picture of my vin # no less than 10 times and the camera function does not focus. FYI - This is not user error, I can capture the image when using the phones built in camera but the focus optics within the app are flawed.
This app was very straight forward and user friendly. I was able to submit a detailed description along with multiple photos in less than 10 minutes! The app guides you on each photo and angle needed and takes the guesswork out of what to capture. Now hopefully the rest of my claim process goes as smooth:)
Easy to use but some things not needed. The damage simulator is very annoying. Not enough options to use damage small or large dings and heat. Really. Point and shoot pics are the only option needed. Great idea and concept, but the virtual reality car point vfc and pick damage works terrible. Otherwise one heck of an app.
At first everything worked fine, my damage was concentrated so I didn't need that many pictures or words to describe it. Then, after I was finished and they told me my claim was ready in the app, the app would load forever or not let me enter my passcode. For some reason uninstalling then reinstalling the app allowed it to work, but it would be nice if that was not a necessary step.
App is easy to use. I have not yet received feedback from State Farm, so I don't know how useful the pictures are. I'm not certain they show sufficient detail of a shallow dent, especially because there are reflections visible in the image. For this reason my rating should be considered preliminary.
It was simple to take the pictures needed, but trying to add the scratches and dents was a little difficult. I would have liked to zoomed up closer because of the smaller spots of damage. I also would have liked not having a character limit to the description also because it can be easy to miss some of the details in a photo, but if there is enough notes along side of the pictures then it's easier to find those details.
