Contacted the support team about the app not launching on my phone, amd saw that it was a problem with many other people after reading reviews. the team said that they were working on a fix, which was obviously false seeing as the last update was sent out in August 2017. The app was a great idea, but it's all but useless to large portion of the users that want it.
So first I have the original STCU app which worked fine until they decided that it should no longer work for an older generation (Galaxy S6) phone. I download this card control app and this one won't even open "network server error" yet every other app I have works fine. STCU is going down hill fast. Will have to switch banks when I get to town. This is ridiculous.
after Google updated the Android system last month this app stopped working and now I am locked out of my bank account. so this banking app is a piece of garbage and when I call the bank to ask for assistance in getting it to work they simply tell me they don't know. they don't know who to call and they don't know what to do. UPDATE TO MY REVIEW: while I'm still unable to use this app with Android version 9 I did get a call back promptly from my bank to help me resolve the issue. now 🌟 🌟 🌟
I used to be able to deposit checks via it's photo capability, but now that has been disabled by whatever changes STCU made on their end. Very disheartening and super inconvenient as all such deposits now have to be mailed through the post office.
This app is a must have! It let's me know every charge that is put on my card Immediately! If a charge shows up that's not mine I can turn that card off myself and it give me time to notify STCU. I love this app!
It won't show transaction details after the last upgrade. I used to love this app, but now i get alerts and i can't see the transaction detail to understand whats going on. Please fix ASAP!!!
When it works it's great, but it isn't consistent. Doesn't let you see recent transactions, just loops back to main card controls screen.
Wouldn't even open. Had to go through the mobile app first. When I would do that, it would go to the card app, and then tell me I had to log into the mobile app. Then it would open up the mobile app again, and it would just keep going back and forth without ever getting into the card app.
In true, traditional STCU fashion, yet another digital technology/app has been rolled out to members when it is still not working. App never launches successfully. Get a timeout error, immediately upon launch, everytime. Maybe time to consider BECU? Here's a concept... Test stuff *first*, THEN deploy it!
Won't show any transaction details. Super frustrating. It will send me notifications when my account is used but I can't go look at the notification in the app
Android P appears to break it. It worked fine with Android N & O, but now 3 devices running Android Pie won't launch the app. Hope the developers can fix it.
Cannot show transaction details since latest update. Looking at the reviews, this seems to be a widespread issue since October. Dev team doesn't seem to care.
Need the STCU mobile banking app just to get it to work but it doesn't bring up the download page for it. I don't want to go to the STCU website just to check my account balance.
Keeps crashing when viewing transactions. Not reliable for showing whena transaction happens. S20 Ultra. 5 stars when works.
Was great until the upgrade now it just crashes and wont show transaction details. So frustrating!
Please add these features to a STCU credit card as well not just debit card!!! Would be very helpful!!!!!

Such a great tool to have and I've never had any trouble with this feature. You can never have too many safety features!

Very great! I use this app all the time with no issues. I don't have any issues that others have, and it definitely deserves more than a 2 star rating.
I downloaded this today and now I cannot use my debit card because it causes it to be declined. Do not waste your time! Support just tells me they can't do anything but have someone call me on Monday. 😠

It never works. Which means that I never have access to my own money. It's infuriating.

Garbage. Glitches out and doesn't even let me see my transactions and jist logs out.
I used to love this when it worked. Now it keeps giving me an error saying my current session has expired, even though I log in to Mobile banking and immediately go to the debit card controls. I currently have a card turned off that I would like to turn back on, but cant because it wont let me access it. Update: there are issues with Android 9.0 and they are working on solving the issue.
