Dishonest. Plain and simple. There was no indication this is a free trial to a subscription and I only found out after installing and registering. And despite looking in the app and on the website there is no indication of the cost of this subscription, which in itself seems rather sinister to me.
Not understanding why this was found today to be adware by lookout mobile. Lookout has always been pretty good and trustworthy. I'm recommending an uninstall until this is figured out. This could be just a fluke with the algorithm they use but still, it's something to note. I use similar message services that come up clean.
Makes me restart registration every time I open app. Yet the same photo appears like the system knows me. What the hell? I've never used the app before now. Really want to use it but I'm not doing this everytime I want to use it. Fix and stars change.
Really wanted to love this app. Nice UI and design. But there's just too little available information about the project. What encryption is running behind the scenes. Is it proprietary? Open source? There's no info or whitepaper spelling it out. There's also no information on who the developers are. No names or profiles. For users who are willing to pay monthly fees to safeguard their security, we need transparency. Until then, I'll stick with an audited open source alternative, like Signal.
Looked promising but requires a phone number to use. Why? Don't answer that...its absolutely unnecessary. Especially considering soooo many alternatives that are great and don't require a phone number, some not even an email. Like - biocoded, bat messenger, cliq, VIPole, wire, slack, chatwork, crait, session messenger(if it works on your device), clearkeep, zom, secret, librem chat, ghostly, briar, upco, datchat, kik, threema(pay for) ... Come on now, there's really no need for a number.
A for the concept is great but I'd really like to go to is some information and how everything works on your risks and how it works during a cell tower dump
Not a good app to use on Messenger texting with people who aren't a contact on the phone. No way to message to just an unknown person about a one-time issue
I'm having the same issues with this app Will not work right, Every time I try to put in a email it restarts and want me to register again I would like to be able to try the app, so far not good
Downloaded it and I got an adware warning, basically saying it has the possability of force pushing intrusive ads. Uninstalled, sorry.
Finaly some one independent made private messaging app. Tired from constant news about leaks and security back doors...
After downloading the very next day would not open ..app kept showing outdate app.open Google play store and update app. Play store did not show a update only open or uninstall .so I uninstalled app.
This is a excellent app I love it is Right Superiorbut the only thing when you forget the codes I don't understand the code setup in order to get it activated other than that I love this app
Since I've downloaded the app it just shows the first screen written 'waiting for network' I don't u understand if it is not supported in South Africa or the app itself is not functional?
Look, I don't mind paying, but tell me that upfront. All of a sudden us users run into information that we have a paid subscription?? 😂 Really? wth? Super fishy. I'm only giving you 5 stars because I respect developers and their hard work. But from the business side of things omg be more transparent wth.
Give me a break, protecting what and who? Your downloads due to the fact that I can't use this app talking to anyone who choose? Got to "invite" them to your little, worthless sorority - like we become the chosen few encrypted people! Hell, I want to use an encryption app that allows me to stay private without the other people needing have the app also, as a developer for iOS and Android I know you can do that - but all these apps like yours are purely junk! Stop requiring others to use this app
So top secret, it never sends a security code to continue using. UPDATE: +1, USA.
Privacy - the only important criteria for choosing messenger or mail service today. Look forward to your email service, gyuz!!!
When I downloaded my play protect and security flagged it as AdWare, instant uninstall and report to Google.
The best in class encryption. Guys, thank you for this app! Hope someday it will be the market standard.
Can't give anything good cause they have message says CODE WAS SENT TO ME AFTER I GAVE MY PHONE NUMBER AN ,USUALLY YOU LOOK FOR A (RESEND CODE) or you would think. They might call me or give that option I don't see even a way to contact, even just send feedback to play store no not even that! So. Honestly they are in the category 0-1 out t 10 now maybe Google is got a beef with me since I have to remove (find my device) as my administrator 4 x a day as they uncheck 2 admin.corrupt Google!
Yes everytime i open the app and it wont let me put my email in.
Worsed app ever I registered after all is done it's asking me to register again and say my number is registered on another device but the verification code is coming to me
Please let me know if it works in India..I dont get to access the app because I dont the notification of code send on my number
I wasn't able to receive the code to activate the account!
Excellent the military guys really know there stuff*
I love this app i just got hacked day before.i saw this app and tried it.
Very incognito, it is a good app
Paid closed source ...enough said. Look else where
Tried on 3 separate occasions over the last 6 months to install the app on two different Android phones. The devices I used for these failed attempted installations were on a fully unlocked Google Pixel 2 XL, and a fully unlocked Google Pixel 3 XL. Both phones have active phone service with "Google Fi". Both phones were running on the newest version of Android during their respective attempts. Today's attempt was on the latest and greatest no-bloatware Android 10 (on both phones) and the app does install, but after confirming your phone number, it asks for "the code," but the 'code' never works (on any of the attempts on any of the devices). In addition, thinking I'm not using the correct 'code' -I've tried the code supplied by the StealthTalk messaging the phone, and I've tried my phone's unlock screen code (because the app doesn't specify what "code' it's wanting you to use, but it doesn't matter, because none of the codes work anyway! - well, I'm tired of trying to find out why the app fails to work. After many useless attempts, my patience is gone - Off to the next app! I hope that the dev team starts performing some QA on each update, to make sure that their work actually functions. Good luck!
