Became fully loaded with ads to a point where you can't even load a video. I don't recommend using the app. It was perfect in the beginning, saved lots of time and has a very high quality video but now very bad due to the ads. [UPDATE] The Developpers Kindly replied back and they fixed the issue, glad they did. I can now watch my friends when I'm away. THANK YOU. (Definitely Giving The App 5 Stars Now)
trying this out and having no success. ive followed every instruction to get it to work but nothing. friends set their settings up, i entered the "myvanity" thing, which was just a string of numbers for the friend i was trying to watch, i uninstalled and reinstalled. im at a loss. great idea, but no good on execution.
UPDATE: I had an issue, and the maker delivered. The app is fully functional again. It's great. Why take away the "Try Anyway" feature? now my friends have to change their privacy settings for game details to public. None of us have any interest in doing that.
Wish I had found this app sooner. I needed an alternative to discord to watch my friend stream since the game she was playing crashed with discord streaming. I tried parsec but it stuttered frequently, made my phone hot, and wasn't consistent. Tried steam link as well but it was a bit buggy and still lagged a bit. Steam Broadcast viewer doesn't lag at all for me and honestly it's something that the official Steam app should support. It's what I needed all along so I'm glad this app exists.
I tried to watch my friend play and it worked for 5 seconds then froze. I went out and tried to go back into the stream and it just continued to load. Now everytime I try to watch my friend play it just goes into a continuous loading time loop.
This seems to be the only viable way to view friends' Broadcast streams other using than the Steam client and it does its job well. Shocking that this isn't a native Steam feature when so many are on mobile these days
Too much ads! Unable to watch. Broadcast lags then freezes. When you restart it will load endlessly. I love the idea of this app please fix it!
If you don't already have it, would you consider implementing a feature where we can search for usernames? I don't like the idea of having to log in for privacy reasons, but then I wasn't able to find my friend's stream if I didn't log in.
app worked for what i needed. only improvements I can think, add volume controls and allow us to fullscreen without putting phone in landscape. i have an s6
The app works very well. And the developer is very responsive, and quick to turn around a fix.
This app is just smooth and bug free. You can broadcast your friends gameplay with no hassle
Works great and worked the first time, even there is no lag like when you watch a game through Steam desktop
Video stream is great but sound stopped working on anything but the ads.
i understand why you guys put ads before watch the stream but its kinda annoying im just hoping that got removed and also add chat when using fullscreen mode
The chat feature doesn't seem to work. Clicking on the send button does nothing.

Dog poop. Told me I had to login but didn't provide anywhere to actually log in. Comically amateurish.
Idk it is only me or what, the stream work but is very delay( like 10++ second )
Not able to chat and too much advertisement even i can not connect the game itself!

completely broken was working but steam firewalls this app now
Good for what it does. Had issues with bugs booting me out of stream, chat being laghy, the UI just being a bit ugly and not great to use. But it lets you watch your friend stream while you're on your phone, and that's super convenient. Definitely worth getting, and functions well enough. My main issue is it freaking out and needing restarts if you switch from data to wifi or vice versa. But I'm sure that's tough for a developer to work around
