It has potential, but it is really unfinished in design and lacks polish. 1. The text when in the Hanger is more difficult to read. 2. The movement while piloting is too... Rigid. Each movement needs to have a slower stop than a harsh stop. 3. The markers, waypoints, text, and the background (space) are too close to the same side of the color scale. It makes it more difficult to see what you need to. 4. The music is too loud and it makes it difficult to hear any character speech. Looks fun tho.
Fun so far, but there is an issue... I got to a primary mission fairly early in the game that cannot be completed. I've tried everything I can to pass it, but it is not passable. The mission is to sweep the nav points in the Dyson system and take out any hostiles. As far as I can tell there are only 4 nav points, points 0-3 (it took me a long time to find nav point 2). I'm unable to dock in any base (which is pretty annoying and hinders the player's experience from doing other things).
The sensitivity of the flight controller is difficult to master. I am still trying to get used to where i have it set 4 now. The brake works on 3 quick taps but sometimes this is not real accurate. The direction indicators of where the Primary, secondary missions are located are difficult to find let alone see them when in flight. The system to dump cargo doesn't always work.
I still don't like that they choose to dump inertia in the game, or that they do not make it an option that we can turn off. The colors in the menus have insufficient contrast and to small, making it hard to read, even for those of us with excellent eyesight. Also, after upgrading my phone to a Samsung S10+, I find that the buttons don't line up. They are off by 3/8 inch to the right. Still looking for a great game like Freelancer, but this game has to many significant problems to be fun.
I tried the game out for a short time,10-15 mins. Using a Galaxy s10 and the game runs with no issue for frame rate; no stuttering. But the problem is the controls, on screen buttons for changing direction, firing and thrusters are the only things working. trying to dock the ship does not seem to work at all or the on screen button for space jumping. I'd give this another shot once and if a bluetooth controller will work.
I've been on the hunt for a lite version of the Elite Dangerous game for PC and console that I could play on my phone and you guys have not dissapointed. If anything, you've added to my expectation with a cool character dialogue and missions. Great controls that feel rewarding when mastered, smooth gameplay and an extensive open world aspect. Trade and upgrade systems are exactly how they should be. Some of the reviews put me off... but i'm glad I ignored the idiocy. Easiest 5* i've given.
Loving the game so far, will give a higher score if the following is fixed. My xbox one controller appears in game but when its switched on I lose touch controls and the controller doesnt function at all in game. Pls let me know if there is something i can do to fix this. I am happy change my rating if there is a solution to this issue. Cheers
The economy system is potential, but still needs a lot of improvement. I like that game "Interstellar Pilot" but that game apparently has been abandoned. This game is a major upgrade from that game over there with real 3D gameplay. I wonder if there is any way that we can control a fleet or maybe a bigger mothership or something? it'd be interesting. Also the roulette system is broken. I can farm credits from that feature. Please fix that.
Only just started but it's very good. Menu's take a bit of working out but once you do its easy enough. Graphics are pleasant despite age and gameplay is fun. Better than a lot of other space games I've tried. Edit: Definitely worth the 7 bucks to get rid of the adds and get a few chips. Just needs to fix the restocking on the stations, waiting ages for missiles and high end equipment to spawn.
The game seems good, it's like strike wing raptor rising which I enjoyed. But the controller support is not working for my fly Digi wee controller, some keys work bit not in the right bindings. Could you have a look into that or even just give me the option to rebind keys in a menu. Edit: Devs told me to the solution just had to scroll down on options and pick the hardware controller option. Thanks for the quick response.
update: it depends on my storage and security upgrades. My service provider refuses to optimise and security. | Rating based on advertising only. I have yet to test the controls. Here is my point: where is the wishlist feature??? I think this would make an awesome MMORPG but I don't have time to check it out currently. Shame. Tweak and optimise the graphics, and you have a niche market drop-dead gorgeous space empire.
Really enjoyed this game. The vastness of space and the musical score makes it feel pretty epic. Many reviews suggest this game is too hard... as suggested the game seems to reward a more strategic approach to combat. Over all very enjoyable. I was extremely sad when then main storyline put me into a failed game loop. While attempting the "championship race" I entered the nearest base to switch to my fastest ship. Upon exiting I was notified I failed the race - before it started. Now my "Last Base" and "Last Save" are both death-looped :( Needs to be a "If you enter the base, you will fail" warning... or something... a self bricking game is no bueno
Okay, first,I, personally, LOVE this game. My laptop's graphic card is broken so I cant really play any games at all there. But, this game reminds me of My favourite game. So far, everything is enjoyable. If anything then, the game works after I bought a new ship but if I leave the game, it won't start. It will show the loading screen then crashes. Devs, if you are reading this please fix this. Thank you Devs!
This game is the best! I've downloaded it 3 times now and the plot never gets old but maybe add a new story after finishing the first mission. Im thinking about a rouge AI. After the main story, you will do 100 or 50 side missions to unlock the next plot (or as big companies do, pay-to-play is optional). the story is up to you. Maybe the core creates an experimental AI that got out of control after the AI knows about the war (main story) and tries to wipe out all life for peace.
Playing on NVIDIA SHIELD TV + gamepad. I love the genre and generally applaud anyone for keeping it alive. Unfortunately the game experience is marred by too many obvious bugs and UI glitches. I'm not too far into the story line as I'm more into open exploration, however, here's some of the issues I've encountered: * UI: main menu cursor too dark on TV * UI: MAP details: goods list does not scroll well, red/green price indicators seem random * UI: Hangar view can stop working. No cursor, menu items can't be selected. Restart from an older save required. * UI:: Buy/Sell buttons do not repeat * UI: jump icon often doesn't appear near jump gate, have to ram the gate to trigger it. Sound of collision ruins the experience. * Scanners are not working? I don't see any of the promised info on screen. * Enhanced tractor beam is not handling multiple targets at once * Pilot view: points to handling do nothing, points to speed affect AFB only * Honest trading career does not pay off. Low goods/mineral prices and non-existent price variance. * Can't sell a ship? * Game universe feels small, too little variance Still reasonably enjoyable on SHIELD TV, despite all the issues.
The game is really well balanced but misses a few things. First is a bug. I picked mission to gather lithum, I keep doing it but as I don't have enough space I keep coming back but every time I coma back the counting is reset. Second has to do with the lack of history in the game, there is not information about the factions, no really rep and maybe we are missing the usual bar or why not, station bazar where rumours and jobs can be taken. It could be ahead of Gof2 but it isn't for these reasons.
This is a game that you need a lot of time to play. The combat's easy to learn and hard to master. The ship customization is great for a mobile game. Graphics and controls are meh but they're not bad whatsoever. Doing side jobs and quests take some time but if you like rpg games like fallout you can get into this. I'm not going to be making comparisons with this and elite dangerous or eve online as i haven't played those.
is fun and has allot of potential; some strange ways things work (being put into missions without warning for eg, with no way to go back? or maybe its not well signposted, leading players to loose progress tapping "last base" or "last save" after a race i did not want to do), def needs more information on how things work. Bought the chip pack in the hope development continues
Fun space shooter/trader but lacks trading depth More like Freelancer than Elite or X. So there is a wider range of products than Elite but the economy feels static and ease of looting makes learning trade routes unnecessary. Controls are fiddly. Docking control could be further from the Fire button. It would be useful to be able to check your active equipment mid-flight and maybe switch it, perhaps via pause menu. It would also be useful to be able to switch targets via a toggle switch or list.
The game is really good but I am facing problems with the refuel timer. Every time I open the game the timer resets itself to 25 mins left...I had to use 17 chips to progress further in the story just because I docked for upgrades, mission, or the story mission itself. Please fix the timer because I am now stuck with no more chips and the ship just doesn't refuel!!!
