Really like this app - only because I can compete against my friends. Yet some days I can't see my friends steps at all! Very frustrating. It's what motivates me the most, so I keep it. This time as of today, I can't see my friends steps, but one can see mine. It's either a Facebook or Stepup issue. Especially love there are NO ads. Steps seem to be accurate most of the time. Sometimes in the mornings, I have restart my Android phone to get the steps going, as it hasn't woken up yet.

Great user friendly app to use. HOWEVER it only let's you connect with friends via Facebook - not ideal when you are trying to set up a challenge with your work team (don't want to have all work colleagues on my Facebook) plus not everyone has a Facebook 😐 additionally, was able to set up a challenge a few weeks ago, but now that seems to have disappeared???! Very frustrating. Have e-mailed the developers regarding both issues above, they haven't bothered to respond 🙄

Mostly good. Being able to input your own stride length would be useful. Also, being able to tell the app when you don't have the phone with you so that the bots can stop counting. Update: updated the app recently and found they'd removed the daily step record!!! What the actual??? This is a core function for an app of this type! Uninstalling, unless I can downgrade.

Good app that works well but it seems a little slow to update when you select various options? Maybe its just my phone? A few more options would be useful, hopefully they are coming. Personally I would like the totals to be in a bar chart so that you can compare days & weekly totals on the home screen. If you want a simple to use step counter then it is hassle free 😎

Good concept. Love the ability to have friends and compare. Definitely helps with motivation. However, i am using android and i find its not very accurate. My friends also find theirs isnt accurate. I actually checked it against my S Health app and found it was over 500 steps less than my S Health. If this bug could be foxed it would be an awesome app

Sometimes when I check steps in the middle of the day it stops counting steps after that. Also, I walked a route that usually notes almost 3000 steps and only 344 were recorded. These types of errors occur about 20 percent of the time. The other 80 percent it works ok.

StepUp is particularly attractive in that it can function unobtrusively in the background. No ads. All I need it to do is help me maintain my daily goal of 4500 steps, and keep an ongoing record. The social media connections need not be activated (although a Google account is required for initial setup), which suits me fine. The app seems well-calibrated, and rarely over/undercounts.

Doesn't keep up with my steps. Shows a low number when I know it should be much higher, then corrects later in the day / next day. Several times it gives a loading circle that goes on for several minutes - today, it's been doing it for about 3 hours, even after I restarted my phone.

Step up is a good app. I've never had any problems with it. It's simple with a spare interface. Very easy to use. I gave it four, not five, stars, because it asks for no data about the user: not height, weight, age, gender, and not step length. It's a mystery to me how distance and calories are determined

This was a pretty solid app until the most recent update. Now it is a constant background drain on the battery and also on mobile data. I have to force stop it whenever it gets going. So pretty unusable at the moment. Would be four stars if you could get it back to the older version.

I love this app because it's so easy to use! It's very straightforward and not annoying whatsoever- there aren't any unnecessary notifications or ads which is amazing. Of course it does miscount a bit steps sometimes when you're inactive, but that's self explanatory for the phone.

Alison, Moto e5 plus running Android 8 Wanted a simple step counter, installed this. It's great. It's free, No adverts and for walking is accurate to about 2 steps in a hundred. I've had dedicated step counter devices that were the same accuracy, so the app is very good. It also has added features such as a goal and daily comparison etc. Developer, well done it's very useful, accurate and is helping me be more active. Thanks.

A fun app to compare, compete and encourage, but it's so slow, sometimes taking up to a minute to update. It's also quite restricted - the obly pwople I can compete with are friends in other social media apps, and it doesn't update automatically.

This app is junk. The progress wheel goes round & round & round. It used to stop eventually, but this time, whilst it continued to count steps, it ceased tallying the daily record 4 days ago. I have been a beta tester in the past & the Dev pats scant regard to anything. I had to side load an old version to regain a daily journal, but since it crapped out 4 days sgo, I've given up and installed Google Fit (which works) so it's not my hardware. I am not a troll, just a long term disgruntled user.

I walked to work this morning which took me 35 minutes at a brisk pace and when I checked my step count upon arriving the app said I had merely walked ONLY 26 steps. Very disappointing considering I endured 15 degree weather and snow and ice to do it. I was not able to see anywhere in settings a place to change the sensitivity. I immediately unistalled the app. I'm all for open source apps but this one didn't work for me.

Didnt load anything. It did show the steps of today and yesterday and the steps i made in a week, but it always loads and never stops. I logged in to my facebook and it doesnt show me anything. My friends can see others, but i just see a loading screen.

I got this because it had good ratings. I hike outside of cell phone service and it doesn't seem to work. Then when I get a signal it goes nuts adding steps. Without a good cell phone signal it doesn't match my Garmin distances.

Excellent. Just what I wanted. No adverts. Had no problems setting it up. Counts steps and, based on your height and weight, shows calories burnt. Also messages me if I hit my target during the day and you can look at best days and weeks so far.

Takes immense time to load and read results despite being connected to a 75mbps WiFi connection. I took 4000 steps and it showed only 1900. Extremely inaccurate. Even just shaking the phone to and fro would count as steps. Calorie calculator is even more ridiculous!

Mic. P. Apr 14, 2020

Great Treading, but it gets distracting when it suddenly decides to create a circle of unavailability on every screen you try to get to. Apart from that, it does it's job of counting your steps well...🙄🙂

I love the simplicity of this app. Cross platform goodness for friends who aren't on Android. I wish I could put my step count in my notifications tray. Also, it'd be nice to have a lower challenge because I'm just starting out and my friends aren't.

Sal. S. Nov 14, 2018

This app is easy to use and keeps a running average of steps by week. The goal setting and comparison to bots keeps it interesting. Only way to mess up is to forget your phone.

Excellent app, Keeps me on the toes and prompts to do more. I am very happy, been using it on both my phones iPhone and Android. Only wish if both phones can be synched with each other, will make my life quite easy.
