STIRR

I am giving in it a two stars because it works well on my phone my it doesn't work well with my Roku device. It automatically goes to a default channel, it won't allow me to change channels and I can't go back to the home page. If i try, It restarts my Roku altogether everytime. I was excited I would get to watch some channels that are not available in Pluto TV but Pluto does not have this kind of issues at all. I am sticking with Pluto and deleting this.

I agree with the reviews that this is a "Pluto" Jr. But So is Roku, Xumo, Crackle, and a few others, as they ALL had excessive and repetitive commercials at startup. HOWEVER, ON DEMAND MOVIES have just a few breaks and all we have experienced is ONLY ONE SHORT COMMERCIAL EACH TIME! That's the best FREE Option you can find these days. People will always find things to whine about but this app (on our Roku) is right next to Pluto & Roku and is the 1st free one we go to after Netflix, Prime, & Hulu

No way to save favorite channels. Sometimes channel listings wont load, nothing but "no data" in listings. Other times, channels can't be selected or are completely missing. Can't page through, enter channel number or search for channels, have to scroll one at a time. We have 100mb internet, so it isnt a network problem. This app has potential, needs lots of work to be as good as Pluto.

In between shows all it does is sits on a looped, silent, screen for 10+ minutes. Absolutely ridiculous! I would rather have ads playing, like the other apps do. It is constantly disconnecting from Chromecast. Lots of lagging. Out of an hour show I can watch about 3 minutes sporadically. This could be much better, but the effort isn't being put into it.

Was an excellent streaming app till an update, now all I can get is an API Conflict error. UPDATE; I installed version 7.6 and it is working perfectly just as it did before I updated it to version 7.8 ( the latest version available at the time ). It's an excellent TV streaming app with plenty of content on the many channels you will always get free on stirr. Back to a 5 star app in my book !

Everyday is a new problem with this app. Today the whole newscast sounded robotic. The entire audio was like screeching. Usually I have a problem when playing the latest newscast in some form. Today was the audio, some days the sound doesn't aligne with the picture, and some days it's straight up unplayable. This app is how some people get there local news.I check back every so often to see if problems are fixed but it's always a problem. Ive had the app 2+ years and idk why I haven't deleted.

You can watch some movies with this app but the live TV feature is virtually useless. Basically you watch commercials and it dies. The movies can actually play movies (with luck) but the live TV shows die and the app quits as you look at a screen with a woman looking at a tv that says STIRR. The app itself actually looks really nice, the picture and sound quality are excellent but it just doesn't let you watch a TV show or movie.

Solid app -- but it has an incredibly serious flaw. The app has lots of cool channels, is polished, and works well. However, there are FAR too many commercials on the STIRR-sponsored channels. Commercials interrupt your viewing every eight minutes -- sometimes even every TWO minutes!? These horribly frequent commercials totally ruin your viewing experience. My suggestion? Don't bother watching STIRR and don't download this app until STIRR fixes the dreadfully frequent commercials issue.

Doesn't work with AndroidTV. Constant popups about API incompatibility, zero keyboard support. Trying to use a touchpad and drag things is an exercise in frustration. Would really like to watch some of the content I can manage to see, just can't see fighting this app to get to it though. Will keep it installed as a reminder to keep trying anytime an update is released.

This app is very broken. Frequent pauses while watching, sometimes completely freezing. Programming guide continually shows no information. It won't cast to my Google Chromecast either. I was kinda excited that I'd be able to cast my local news from WJAC TV since their own app is lacking the feature. Instead this app has failed to perform time and time again. I hope you guys can get this straightened out, (before I go get an Android TV box, so that I no longer need the casting to work).

Want to love this, SPACE:1999! But, sigh, can't use it on my Sony Android TV, can't install., can't install to two other android boxes, and the one I get it to install on can't scroll the guide, or change the channels at all. The ONE and ONLY place it works is on a phone! Well thats not going to fly on a 4" screen! Oh "cast it" well no that don't work, as I don't have devices that support casting, and I don't do it even if they do support it! This would be one of my top used programs, if I could use it! For SPACE:1999 alone! Lets get this fixed to work on Sony TV's, Android boxes -T9, H96 Max, This would be right up there with Pluto, Crackle,Tubi, again, if I could use it! So how do we get this resolved???? I would think Sinclair could solve this as one of the top OTA broadcasters, and Dieletric owner and the big push to move to ATSC 3.0 on your stations.

This is the only way I can get my local news so I depend on this app but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't... recently it started making a really high pitched screeching sound that sends chills down my spine..I tried my other streaming networks and it doesn't make that sound so it's not on my end.. When it works I love this network but I'm losing patience with it and it really needs to be fixed.

Everytime it goes to a commercial block it freezes and you have go back to the main menu and find your channel again. Fix this and its on par with Pluto, it doesn't seem like anyone cares if the app works, though. If you're going to advertise something it would be a good idea to make sure it works!!!

Great beginning but missing some desperately needed features. For instance the app doesn't seem to recall the shows you watch, there is no way to favorite a show either. So if say you want to watch 'The Greatest American Hero' a show my Dad has been looking for for years to watch with me with captions (thank you so much!) he needs to type out the show name every time...this is tiresome. Otherwise I think the service has potential. Looking forward to updates as they come.

Works, but you need to give it a chance. Especially broadcast stations, like Comet, lack actual commercials, but have the same commercial break - so you get a very awkward "we'll be right back" message. There aren't a lot of channels, and some of them are in better apps like Pluto, but a few are Sinclair and unique to the app. Local news, even if not exactly from your city, Comet, and Dove are probably unique. Stargate and Andromeda are Comet favorites.

I love STIRR I like to watch The Librarians, it has been working great till today, I did everything to fix it. for Example, The Librarians at 8:00pm but when I go to watch it at that time it's a totally different movie that wasn't even on the movie list for the day. please please fix this I miss my show. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The reason why I give this app two-star rating is because on live news broadcast they cut in on the segments in the middle to go to a commercial. Cut in the middle of weather broadcast. It needs to stop when the news broadcast on regular TV goes to commercial that's when y'all need to go to a commercial not before missing out on important information. I need to find another service to go through to get the information that I need, very aggravating.

Worked ok with minor issues then out of blue it wont do anything but pop up a little white box that says something about an "API conflict" which apparently can only be fixed by the app people going by my searches for what it is. I have Stirr installed on an andriod phone and tablet, both are acting up. Restarted them both a million times, Uninstalled and reinstalled but nope, same thing. Guess I need to move on to another app, this is too much headache.

Yeah. I gave it a try after reading the mostly bad but also some good reviews. Fact, the app is NOT what they advertise. It does NOT work "anywhere, anytime" as they say. I have a place outside the US where I spend my vacation time. Tried to watch my local news and it clearly says that the video is not available in my area. Don't bother with it. It's garbage.

Stirr developers need to rewrite this app. Casting does not work properly, when ads come on screen the app locks up, some shows in the guide do not match what's playing, watching shows stops than I have to refresh the shows. Take a look at Pluto TV. Works great. Better features. To bad Pluto don't carry all the shows I like.

Entirely useless app. Tried it after repetitive advertising on local Sinclair owned station app. On 1st tablet received cryptic message about lack of internet connection (a strong connection was present) and on the second tablet, went to a white screen and no further. Neither device could establish a connection. Found the app totally unusable and have deleted. 1 star rating given only because zero was not an option. Don't waste your time with this poorly coded app.

LOC: I have NO complaints!!! I love watching the movies on my Samsung J7 cell phone. Movies with no commercials, with good picture & sound quality. I don't have to be at home to watch them. I like being able to access News, TV programs, Movies, etc. when I want. Before STIRR, in order to watch TV, I have had to buy two expensive indoor antennas with only a 50 mile reach. And, still have to reposition them for different stations. And, the long and frequents commercials are sickening.

It works as advertised but has a few problems. No program listings. It doesn't remember the last channel it was on or remember to start on channels page. Unable to pause or mute application. I had to mute device instead. I was hoping latest update would fix these problems.

This app is highly underrated. It needs bug fixes, updates, and ad variety, but it's not impossible just like what the other famous apps have accomplished. This app is up there with Pluto TV and Xumo. It's great. Thank you for showing ads so I can watch it. I'm having an amazing time. Thank you, I'm so grateful. You've secured me as a member of your app. Keep at it, and keep up the great work. Over time, it can become one of the famous apps too. Thanks again, and don't give up, the app is great!

Takes forever to get On Demand to show anything on the screen. Evidently there's a few bugs and that's at that are causing the App. to run "extremely slowly." Very Frustrating and needs to be corrected ASAP. 😔

This app is the most dysfunctional streaming app I've seen. It takes a very long time for on demand content to load. I get frequent error messages. Since most of the content is already available on Tubi and Pluto, I would stick with those apps. Unlike Stirr, Tubi and Pluto actually work properly.

Weekend wcyb NEVER works correctly. Always shows the wrong days news, app design for fire TV is terrible. Phone app is ok, put this here where someone might see it. I BOUGHT AN ANTENNA AND AIR RECEIVER BECAUSE IT IS MORE RELIABLE THAN STIRR. If THAT doesn't tell you how big of a pain it is to use your app, then there's no point in trying again. I'd redesign it, but who knows if Sinclair even cares. UPDATE:NEXT DAY AND APP DOESNT WORK. 🖕
