Stock Trainer: Virtual Trading
Stock Trainer uses real markets and their data to help beginners make their first steps in the world of stock investment. Learn trading with our real market simulator and use it as a guide for your future investments.
Keep in mind that while described as a simulator, this app is not a simulation and works with real market data to give you as close to real life results as possible. We do not support Stop\Limit trading in this app at this time, but it is coming soon.
NOTE: For those concerned about the "Identity" permission, it is strictly used for Google Sign In for the App. If you do not use Google Sign In and instead use other medium for Signing In, then "Identity" permission will not be executed.
One of the advantages of this app is that it let's you test the waters before you jump in. If you are new to investment, and think you have what it takes to be a Stock Market Mogul, then I suggest you try this app first before investing your real money. In this simulator, everything is virtual, there is therefore nothing to lose.
This app is for stock market investors
- both new and experienced. Investors new to stock market can try out the market without investing real money. Investors that are experienced can use this app to devise a strategy that works for them. Regardless of your experience with the market, you have intuition about certain stocks but are too afraid to invest; try it out here and test out your instincts.

Bought premium version today thinking all the tab in this app will function as expected. But sadly, Top movers tab keeps displaying message that it has been disabled and try after an hour??? It has been more than 24 hours since I have installed this app but the top mover tab continues to display same message. Worst, there is no help and support option in this app as it displays a message that help and support functionality will be added soon. Very very bad experience.
I loved all the features and look and feel, but I had to give it a star bc i could not use it bc there was no way to set your own initial investment and when u looked at an ad, it added more money to your initial investment. Initial investment is one of the most important factors. It tells u how much money you have to invest in the market. Maybe you can. But I couldnt find it. And giving money bc u watched an ad, really distorts your simulation. It also asked u for info like a password, email
I went on the app today to discover that all of my investments in my portfolio and everything in my watchlist has disappeared and been wipes. Meaning that all the time I spent using this app has been a waste of time. Before this I experienced no issues. Please fix this and I will rate 5 stars
For those of us using a tablet, landscape mode would be nice. It is a pain to have to keep turning to type and read. New update that requires login. Set that up and now lost all data. Their facebook page they link here does not exist. Let's see if they reply to email, but I don't think they will
The app was great when I paid for the upgrade on my last phone. I'm unable to access that Google account. I installed the app on a new phone and the market is always closed. I tried to enforce market timings and it still is saying market is closed. Don't want to pay again if it's not working.
4.4 stars is about right! I wish you could simply put in the amount you wish to start with up to say 5 million or even a million, some reasonable cap, so that I could easily practice for real situations and portfolio totals. Otherwise it's a great app to learn from especially if you're looking to simply faux invest and play around. I agree 100% with the rating here
This App has been the best for me to learn about trading. Started several years ago with the app, and have learned alot, a lot! Having not much knowledge with the Trading process, at first,I feel to this day, I can now make real money. It has been times of losing, saying not been easy at first, But Stock Trader has given me a wonderfull experience in stock trading. They have useful tools to let you enter the real world of Stock Trading. To this day, I have not found a better app for learning.
This app would be 5 stars if I didn't keep losing everything I do once or twice a year... there's a pretty nasty glitch with accounts & data... After building out 6 portfolios, it always happens eventually.
Gives me the confidence and belief that If given the chance with enough real cash I could nearly triple returns on some stocks and increase the full portfolio by a minimum of 30% annually. But alas I ain't lucky enough to have $20,000 to invest, I don't even have $20 to spare most the time any more. But it sure is nice to fantasize about it. I would give it a 5 but if you transfer or reset your phone it won't download the backup and you have to start all over. Pissed me off!
I am definitely enjoying this app a lot! It's a very good way to learn. However it really needs two features. Number one, the charts need to be upgraded or at least include candlesticks instead of just a plain line chart. Number two, most importantly, no after hours trading whatsoever. It would be nice if that got thrown in there. Otherwise great app
I am amazed to see how real of an experiance this app gives you. But i have a single issue...i am unable to save my progress. I registered myself and made some transactions then logged out in the end as i always do whenever i login somewhere but i can't login anymore. The app says that server didn't respond and all the transactions i made became a total waste of time. I created reinstalled the app and made a new account and then when i again logged out..guess what...that account was lost as well,I couldn't login anymore. The progress just doesn't seem to be saved. I don't want to waste my time. Kindly fix this and i will rate it a much deserved 5 stars!
If you're looking for a "paper trading" app, this is the second-to-best one I've found, after trying countless other apps. I won't mention the number one app. I purchased this app and it was worth the few bucks it cost. Desired improvements: Allow users to customize which tabs are visible and allow them to be re-ordered for easier access to the most frequently used tabs. As well as the ability to choose the base funds available. Clearer display of available funds, invested, etc.
Honestly, the app itself isn't too bad. It could use a little help in the UX department but it works. The reason I gave 2 stars is THE APP IS TAKING UP 4.66 GB, according to the settings app of my Pixel! I have no idea what this app could possibly be storing, but it's not a media heavy app so it's either unintentional or something dubious is going on.
This is a great app, it is synchronized with real time market. The only reason why I rate it 4 stars is because it does not have a stop loss feature. If there was a stop loss feature I would definitely rate it 5. I hope you guys come up with the stop loss feature soon!! Thanks for the app :)
Review 1.3- I really REALLY like this app. It's realistic enough to plot out strategies or theories to use in real life, as I do. The game designer is completely awesome and extremely responsive. Totally top notch. I haven't found a better, more realistic app if you want to practice day trading while on the app. The negatives for the most part are more personal organization issues, however the one major issue I have is that the limit sell and stop/loss capabilities are...shall we say...lacking.
No futures for India and not a great interface either. I prefer neostox in comparison. Souch better for traders in India. The forced ads watching is just insane. In those 30 seconds the price of the stock you want to trade has moved!
The app actually isn't too bad. It takes a little time to learn the interface, but once I learned it I was doing good. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of the non stop notifications for their livestream and I cant turn them off. I dont want to watch a daily livestream for an app I barely use and I should be able to turn off notifications for that.
Don't install it is make frustrated after using 1 month it should be givE NEGATIVE STAR BIRTH. u will not shown by chart.. your portfolio may be empty any time.. your purchases will be halted with bundles of advertising
perfect for practice before actually trading, however you can't use it to look at charts but you can place a vitual order and see your profits and loss, (maintain a virtual portfolio) Awesome app. A very special thanks to all the people involved in making the app, and I'm looking forward to updates and everything new you guys add to it, it's perfect already but then again I'm a noob to the market. I don't know how to set a stop loss on the app though.. but it did say that you can :D
Pros : 1. real time market. 2. easy to use. 3. fine interface. 4. Can set stop loss and limits. Cons : 1. need to install two apps to search stocks. 2. 'stock screener' usually shows 'FAILED TO LOAD DATA'.. OVERALL, good app to simulate stock market but needs improvement in the interface and needs to put all the features, including searching stocks, in one place...
Need to add a few missing ETFs, also currencies and comodities, but overall a good experience.
-Top movers facility not working -Stocks of Newly listed companies not available -Less Free trades -after watching the ad , the transaction made prior to it doesn't execute, instead we have to place it again
Real practise for day trading aspirants and people who wants to master virtual before real, then this app is recommended. And the best part is capital amount and limitation of trades makes it much real problem solving for over trading. Keep up the good work.
I understand the needs for ads in a free app but the app gives the liberty of 1 trade a day after which we need to see a 30 sec advert giving us one more trading option. So I have to watch an ad before setting stop loss and another before setting a sell limit. Meaning for every transaction there is an advert. It seems like I m watching more ads then the app itself. Please allow 5 to 6 transaction to happen before an ad request is activated. Otherwise this is rendering the app useless.
This is a simple and easy to use app for beginners like myself, and I really am a beginner. There are a few limitations which don't allow me to experiment with the approach that I would like to take to managing my own portfolio. I would like to invest in green energy. I would also like to be able to choose exactly how much I buy rather than choosing from four (or 16 if you count the leverage) options as I am interested in rebalancing. But a good app though. You've got nothing to lose!
Finally, a paper trading app that doesn't require an account. So far it does pretty much what I need it to, including a dark theme, and I really like that the charts display the change percentage for the different timeframes. The biggest issue I'm having is that almost every time I tap on VTI an error pops up that reads "Unable to get stock data at this time." This prevents me from getting to its page. This is the only stock I'm having this problem with.
