Extramely slow (after finger print scan complete, it take 15-20 seconds to show dashboard one a mobile with octa core processor 2.4GHz, 6GB RAM). Another problem, it takes 10-15 days to get the funds credited in my international bank acc (from RSU release date, immediate sale, credit in bank). These companies don't care about speedin up their process.
Brutal experience. Won't save signin, forces chrome to be default (I have a pixel I can't uninstall Chrome if I wanted to) and is a basic wrapper on the browswer. Seriously the 1st yr interns I have would do a much better job.
This is a very poor app. Terms and conditions couldn't be accepted on a two screen device, I had to change device to make it work! It's just a Web page with a few options. C'mon, you can do better than that
Requiring Google Chrome to login is a bit odd. I don't understand why another browser couldn't suffice.
Cannot login, in webview, after I submit, they'll show "For Your Security" page, and it's a dual factor using phone number, but there's no option. Can work at mobile/desktop browser, I already add the personal number and try, but still no option.
Much worse UX than the classic version. With the old classic version it was more convenient to do about 90% of my business in the app. It's still possible to do that, but it's so painful that it's easier to go find my laptop or desktop and use the website (and even that is somewhat worse for simple transactions) -- I now only use the app when I can't possibly get to a computer.
As plenty of others have noted, you can't log in. Generic "there was an error processing your request" popup. However I also noticed some exceptionally weird behavior. When I first open the app while connected to Wi-Fi, there is a spinner for a bit before the "Sign In" button ungrays. During this time, my CenturyLink modem always crashes and appears to reboot (all LEDs go red then it takes a minute to start up again). Nothing like this when using 4G. In either case, I get the error popup.
Terrible sign in process for mobile app. Try to login, tells me I need to "take care of" things via web browser. Log in via browser but no message or direction. Can't login to app.
Terrible. Neither the app nor the website ever works and the only way to get help is to call their help center.... Which is an unrecognised number. Avoid Morgan Stanley at all costs.
POS. Used to work well. Then it started telling me my login credentials were wrong, but yet they worked fine using a browser. Reset my password but same result. So I uninstalled the app then could only find this version on the Play Store. Installed it, entered my credentials, then got a message saying this version of the app isn't compatible with my account and I need to install the "classic" version. So I searched for the classic version, but it doesn't exist on the Play Store. Be ashamed MS.
Terrible "upgrade". The only thing this app has that could be considered an upgrade is the fact that it shows all previous transactions and not just the current year's. If I wanted to go to the website every time I logged in, I wouldn't have downloaded another app.
Crashes out hard view trying to view upcoming vests please fix!
You can tell MS skimps on their app. The login page wont let you login until you "update your information" which you have to do in a browser. Even then, it doesn't tell you WHAT TO UPDATE and still wont let me in. The APP itself is almost useless bc most things redirect you to a web browser. WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING AN APP IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO USE IT?
Horrible User Interface - No Way To Sell/Exercise Stocks. The screenshots show a Sell Shared and Exercise Options buttons at the top of the Transaction screen, but this doesn't exist for me. I'm unable to use the old app a it redirects me to this one. It's obviously not ready. Also, to log in, it takes you externally to a browser to log in outside the app and then back into the app after you log in. Who does that? MS needs to hire better Android developers and UX Designers.
Pathetic. Signed me out and now asking me to login from web and update contact details. And cannot login through web either. Absolutely pathetic.
This app is pretty terrible. It won't let me sign in. It endlessly redirects me to the website. And after I login to the website, the app still doesn't work. I have to abandon and just use my browser. Maybe that's the intention ? I imagine the least a developer can do is test that login works on your app. I tried both on Pixel 3 and Pixel 4
The new version is extremely slow and contains much less features than the classic one. Can you re-enable the old version and keep it running until this new version is in a usable state? What a shame!
App works fine for viewing account information and selling stock. Also, fingerprint sign in functions fine. I can't explain the negative reviews, other than perhaps there was a update recently to the app. Also, I did see where it sent me to the website once, but the rest of my experience seemed to be "in app".
This app is constantly broken. Now it tells me the identity of the server can't be verified and won't let even try to login. Probably an out of date certificate. Cleared cache and data to no effect.
Horrible. I've honestly never seen a company REMOVE most of the functionality of an app and consider it an improvement. This app allows you to do basically zero related to your account. Can I see transactions? Yes. Can I see details for those transactions? No. Can I sell stock? Yes. Can I sell stock intelligently? No. I am currently traveling remotely with very limited computer access, and now I am forced to find a computer to do basic activities. Did I mention that this app is horrible?
Sends you back to the Classic App which then tells you to install the new version which sends you back to the Classic. Circle of failure, can't get logged into either. Please fix this, you're Morgan Stanley for crying out loud! Getting this error code SAMLSSO
After Morgan Stanley suddenly retired their app a year or so ago with no replacement, I finally received an email that the new app was available for my plan.... only to log in and get an error message telling me the app is not available for my plan. If this is the best their dev team could do in a year, well, Morgan Stanley needs an entirely new dev team.
This is the one app that truly is deserves a zero star rating. It's always redirecting you to a desktop app, It never remembers anything you've added in terms of your username. I do not see any value in this app, as a stock company if they cannot get an app right, they have certainly lost my trust as a company.
Login in is taking me to a webview? Hmmm... but still, revamped UI is helpful.. Over 4 star for giving me the required functionality even though the app has gaps in finctionality + I found the revamped UI to be neat but - Doesn't keep me logged in for longer duration --No support for faceID
Terrible app obviously not supported anymore. Can't login, and when i tried to connect support via the listed email address it bounced. Suggest that it is removed from the play store.
I cannot believe that an app with so many problems has been left unaddressed by MS for so long. The comments stretch back to 2019, with several customers effectively no longer able to access to their account by mobile because of issues with login. A really poor experience for MS customers.
Ideally I would give this zero as it simply does not work. Forced to no longer use "classic" app. moved to this as instructed, completely impossible to log in, using same credentials. what a user experience.
Why is it mandatory to use Google Chrome and not the default browser set on the phone? Such a pathetic app, really
Not able to login anymore
Unable to login to the application and I see a message that says I have to update my contact details. When I log in using a web browser everything works fine. I was using an older version of the app and everything was working smoothly. Request MS to fix this asap.
