Stop - Categories Word Game

This would be fun if not for 3 things. Word scoring seems completely random. In one game I got half a point for aardvark, my opponent got a "rare" point for anteater. Next time I used anteater, I only got half a point. Another time I used "futon," my opponent got a rare point for "futons." Second, players often cheat by stopping the clock after inserting one word, so you lose because you had 5 seconds to look at the categories. Third, way too many ads, you spend more time watching than playing.

Been loving this game, great challenge and not too many ads. However recently there has been an error connecting to Facebook meaning my progress has been lost. Error info... "App not set up. This app is still in development mode, and you do not have access to it. Switch to a registered yest user or ask an app admin for permissions." No response as yet from an email to developers and current games will run out if not fixed soon.

Apr/22/14 May I make a suggestion that you probably have heard before, but with my approval too. My idea is: To earn an extra point using 'Double-Letter' answers. Example: Marilyn Monroe is worth 2-points instead of the usual 1-we get. A very simple modification (🤞) that could add a new element of fun. There are actually hundreds of these kinds of answers that can appropriately be used in a lot of your categories. Thanks, for your time,sticking around long enough to be at this point, the end.

At first I liked it but now I notice some bad stuffs. First one is I think we should remove the stop button because played cheat by that so when a game starts a player writes all the words in 5 secs and I can't even write one because they stopped. Second one is the game freezes and instantly crashes a lot after playing for some minutes. Final one is one time a write a solo artist called lisa of blackpink but it says I'm wrong even if I'm not. It happened twice with different category

I loved this game. It's been fun. Over time I built up a lot of coins. I got a new phone and had to transfer everything over. I lost all of my coins. But it saved all my achievements. So now after all my achievements I don't have the option to start over on my achievements but I have to start over on my coin build up. Doesn't quite seem fair.

I love the game, it reminds me of a game I used to play on paper with my family and we definitly do enjoy the game together now, the stop button makes it so much more exciting that I loose every word and come up with the stupidest things and we always have a laugh about it to, so overall good game, just a few more entertainment questions like about music and movies would be nice

I love the game, it's good to keep my mind going. I used to only play zen but since I've gotten better now I like to play against opponents and the clock. My only gripe is that wheel needs to be adjusted. I spun the wheel at least 10 times but the first 5 kept landing me on H, how is that so?? I don't have an issue with U, X, Y, Z, I know that some letters are hard to play but I didn't even land on those. Seems like I play the same letters everytime. Time for new catagories too!

Don't expect your account to transfer to a new device. I played this game for a long time on my Samsung galaxy note 8, I upgraded to the Samsung s22 ultra and my account will not transfer. Im logged into the same google account on both devices. I tried multiple ways to get my account to transfer; Samsung smart switch, Google play games cloud, Samsung backup and restore. Transfer is not optimal.

This Scattegories-type game is as good as it gets. Many different categories that you can change, by paying coins, if you want. The ads are not overly intrusive (ads are what makes the game free for us). In-game opportunity to report mistakes(game not accepting words or phrases that are correct), which are fixed fairly promptly. Free lives given quite often.

Fun but faulty. You rely on the app designers to have a compilation of answers. While you can submit answers as legitimate, you can't change the outcome of the match. My answers are right over half the time but they count them as wrong. I can tell them that the answer is right and they won't change it. Btw SYMBOL ISA MUSICAL INSTRUMENT just saying

Very confusing interface. pick a topic? pick a theme? one had nothing to do with the other . the kids arent on FB. a lot of people arent. text really small. constant commercials. TONS if these annoying 3-screen, 45 second ones with no "x". No tutorial. Game is just there, no instructions. played 4 games that all went to "random opponent " who has 6 days to play their turn. took 15 seconds to play the game and got 4-40 second commerials. no thanks..uninstalling

A lovely game that I thoroughly enjoy. But the reporting function can be frustrating. I have reported the same thing multiple times and you don't seem to add them to your database. For example: the Blyde IS a river. And a kist IS an item of furniture.

The game is fun and challenging but 6/10 times I run into a cheater who's using Google and its very annoying. I don't see the need for lives as it limits how long you can play the gamma and I'm not willing to watch ad after ad just to play

A very enjoyable game that puts you on the spot. A few categories are difficult and nothing can be done about cheats who have spent time to compile and refer to a list of answers

I loved it. But, a few seconds go by and you are faced with an ad. I don't have a huge problem with ads. As long as they dont play at the click of any button.. Too much. Yeah yeah I know "We always want to deliver the best experience" I read it in all of your responses to every negative review. Unfortunately wanting is different than delivering. Thanks anyways

Ok I've got to admit, this game is really a really great way to spend time when you're bored and it's really addicting, but the things that annoy me the most are ads and running out of lives. Anytime you click out of something on this game, an annoying 30 second ad shows up. I know it's how you make money, but why place an ad literally everywhere? And for running outta lives.. It doesn't let you host another game if you're out until time is up or you pay. Overall, I'd MAYBE recommend this game!

Love the game, fun and simple. There is hardly ever any ads, and it only costs 3 dollars to remove them. You can play with friends, and strangers. This game gets you thinking, with only a short time limit to use to find words fitting the category. Only own side is that there isn't much to spend your coins on, and you get so much. Maybe adding different levels of difficulty will be fun, having a certain amount of won games to unlock the next level. Just an idea. Like I said, love this app!

The game itself is fairly fun, however it takes way too long waiting for your opponent. If there was an auto or practice mode where you could continuously play, the game would be better. I also feel as though the letter almost always stops somewhere at the end of the alphabet. Anyway, it was ok for a bit, but not one I would keep or recommend at this time.

I love the game in itself, but I get annoyed when it often only recognises certain spellings of words, therefore losing half a point when the spelling is quite correct (just from a different country). That is my biggest gripe, especially as you can't challenge it at the time... Overall though, a great game that I enjoy playing. (Being able to autofill would be great too, to avoid typing wrong letters under pressure, but I won't push my luck...)

Love this game! I'm not having any issue so far. Ads can easily be bypassed. Great great great! Also, people seem to get super upset with the luck of the draw letters you spin for and categories... I mean, the randomness keeps the game difficult and fun!!! No one wants to work for the point anymore. Guys, keep doing what you're doing. The game is awesome. Best one yet!

I do enjoy the game, very addictive, but I have two issues with it. I don't know if anyone else has these issues. Issue #1: I can't change my profile. It goes back to default and it's annoying. I want to have an interesting, creative name to make friends. Issue #2: Sometimes, there this super long load or pause. It happens randomly. It can be going into a match or the game finished loading the first time and it loads again. This game isn't bad, just a few flaws. Not that it was unexpected.

Amazingly addictive game, and really do love it and couldn't recommend it enough. I do have one minor issue e.g. layout of the dashboard, especially the waiting list could be better. If you play as often as I do, the waiting list just continues to grow, clogging up the page. If you could add a delete button like with the finalised games list, or just cut it of with an ellipsis it'd look a lot cleaner. Also, things to potentially add, maybe a solo game, or vs a computer one and more than 3 lives.

It's a lot of fun. There are a lot of ads which are frustrating, but most are short. My biggest issue is I've watched several ads to get a free life to be rewarded with nothing. Also, as others have said correct answers being marked incorrect. I emailed them about the ads so if it's fixed, I will update my review. I just fully watched four ads in a row to get no lives and it's happened randomly several other times so I'm pretty upset right now.

I enjoyed this game almost as much as I enjoyed the look of defeat on my brother's face when I won. Slightly annoying when you get an obscure letter, but also a fun challenge. Also, sometimes it's fun to see what ridiculous answers you can scrape by with! The ads can be a little much at times, but with the length of each game and the time it takes opponents to respond, they're nowhere near as annoying as in other apps. Overall, a very underrated game- would recommend!

pros: good choice of categories, fast paced game, makes you use your brain, teaches you things you might not know, so far good rewards and using upgrades doesn't cost too many coins. cons: ads. ads. more ads. ... also not a huge fan of the 4 or 5 lives system type of games either especially when this one your round can be over within seconds and you're left waiting if your opponent isnt ready again.

I really like this game - the app works well, the ads are minimal and the gameplay is quite enjoyable. The only thing I don't like about it is the notifications. It sends push notifications when someone plays, which I want, but it also sends them when I earn coins due to time passing, which I *don't* want. There is no way to distinguish the two and no way to have it send *only* the play notifications. Should be an easy fix, and I'd give it 5 stars if the devs took care of that one oversight.

I decided to give this game a try despite the negative reviews about ads, because I tend to be able to ignore in-game ads. However, this truly is excessive. The fact that the game rounds are sometimes less than a minute, followed by sometimes a full minute of 30 second ads back to back absolutely ruins the game play for me. Being able to watch ads for lives or for boosters would be preferable, but as-is, I cant give this more than 2 stars

I love this game, but the scoring makes no sense. Sometimes the opponent and I have answered the same amount and it's a draw and other times, one of us is declared the winner even if we answer the same amount. I have lost games where I have 5 answers without the "R" and finished before my opponent and they have answered 5 with the "R" symbol on one or more words and they win. Too inconsistent and no explanation for it. But it's still a fun way to pass the time.

I have always really loved the game. I find it really addicting and I love how you can come up with obscure answers and they can still register as correct. However. I have a Galaxy s10 plus and the game is not formatted to fit my phone. The top and bottom of the screen are black and it doesnt look very good. This app would look so good if It was updated to fit correctly. Please do this and I will change my review to 5 stars.
