Stop and shop is easy to use and it's very convenient. When you go shopping it has a built in scanner and it even has options to either pick up or deliver option too. If you don't feel like shopping that day you just want to pick up your groceries. I love this app. It lets you clip there coupons and it saves you money even with the rewards they have. I have saved up to $20.00 in groceries in my rewards sometimes even more. It tells you when are to lose some. I have lost some but I gained a lot.
This app is completely awful. This past year I've had an issue EVERYTIME I try to place an order. I will get my things set up in my cart and when I go back a few hours later to finalize and send ity items are gone and I now have to do my shopping all over. More than half the time when I open the app it is not loading all the way. Cannot see weekly circular. Cannot pick a time to pick up. Cannot load cart. It is very very frustrating.
Awful app. Tried it twice and both times it gave me issue. When it does work, it is slow and clunky. I was trying to use it to add digital coupons, but half the time it wouldn't register my tapping on it, or would bring me to a completely different item. I'll come back when this thing meets even the barest minimum of adequacy.
I've been shopping here for nearly 20 years. The app has a bad history, every iteration was deeply flawed. I can't understand how a company with this much money can't afford decent IT. The past 3 years the app is the best it's ever been but that's not saying a lot. The app freezes constantly. Search function needs a lot of work. Sometimes your cart is emptied out, coupons don't always link. Newest problem is the app thinks I'm a robot and constantly asks to verify I'm human... /sigh.
It would be a great app if the digital coupons actually worked. I definitely got the right items and quantities, and I definitely used the correct card because it shows I got my Go points. Besides that issue it's a convenient app for searching products, finding the aisle they are in, and great when the coupons work. I also love using the gas rewards.
Probably one of the worse apps in the Playstore right now. Lags, freezes, none responsive to input, extremely slow. It's like it was developed with a children's coding kit. This is one of the worse apps I ever used, and nothing has changed with this app in 8 years. Since the store is far away from me, the fact that I can't utilize the app for certain things like downloading a digital coupon deterres me from making a trip to the store, like a whole lot of other people
Terrible app, horribly slow, annoying, and frustrating. Can't say how many times I've been in the store trying to do simple navigations, and the thing just spins or stays blank. How many times I've said how much faster and easier and LESS FRUSTRATING it would have been to have simply circled things the oldfashioned way on the flyer or simply written a list! But they force you to use the app if you want the coupons which are downloadable. But forget trying to access them quickly while shopping!
This app is painfully laggy and slow, and many times when you try to select something you end up clicking something else because the page belatedly loaded something and moved the place you were originally aiming for. I don't remember it being so bad a few months ago, so I'm guessing whatever updates they've done in recent months have created errors and frustration in the user experience.
One star for the lag time and the screen jumping as images slowly load. Last updated in August? You would think they would want to correct these conditions sooner than that. One other thing: the layout is clumsy and not user-friendly. Where are the app settings, for example? There ARE app settings, yes?
I loved using the stop and shop app for the scan it feature it had. All of a sudden the scan it option is gone? Not having it on the app has completely ruined the shopping experience for me. I loved the convenience of being able to use my phone to scan and bag my items as I shop. Please put that feature back!
I guess I have to edit my review... Out of characters. The app and process is better than in 2020 when I gave 1 star. We now regularly are getting pdf receipts emailed to us. We verify if we updated order that it really emails an update. The app is still mildly annoying, on Pixel 5a the app goes under tool bar so can barely see the search field or click on the cart. The local store used to often be late so we choose an hour earlier but they seem to be improving as well.
App is terrible, logged us out and logged back in none of our info was there even tho we have been using app for over a year. Kept telling us credit card was over limit but its not even close (how would they know anyway credit card would be declined). Runs slow and freezes constantly. Keep choosing pickup and automatically changes to delivery.
A rock bottom app. Extremely slow. Freezes quite frequently. Browse aisles is frustrating (bread & bakery resulted in produce popping up). Search requires creative thinking. Related items are unrelated. This app screams out for another update or complete overhaul (last update 11/3/21). Since S&S seems unresponsive to its customers' needs surrounding this feckless app, I'm finding fewer reasons to do business with them after being a loyal customer of more than 7 years.
I never review apps but I use this one quite frequently, until recently when they updated the app and somehow made it worse. Sometimes the app would freeze but I could work through it. Now it doesn't work at all. I am unable to load anything into my cart. They did away with shop the flyer section, which was the easiest way to navigate a already slow app. I believe they don't want be to use this service anymore and to go back to shopping in store, were your apt to spend more with impulse buying.
I have been updating this app very frequently and there's very little improvement so far. The app is still very slow. Now here is a question, how do I access my Clipped Coupons? There is no way or option to see your preciously clipped coupons from the Coupons page, especially if all the available coupons have already been clipped. Overall the concept for the app is great but it Definitely needs improvement.
On the bright side, scrolling on the new app is much smoother than the old one. But there are a lot of usability issues introduced. When browsing coupons, clicking show more at the bottom moves you to the bottom of the newly loaded coupons, so you have to scroll backwards to see the ones that just loaded (why not just load them all to begin with?). On the shopping list screen, it takes multiple clicks to add items to a list, and many items cannot be added to a list at all, as best I can tell.
Using this app is truly a practice in patience. It is incredibly slow to respond. So slow that half the time, I'm not sure I've even tapped a button...until I retry and find myself in a frustrating loop. On the pro side, I like the digital coupons and having the option of putting my savings to gas or groceries. I'm not doing much driving these days and I'm still able to use my rewards points before they expire.
They just ruined the app. Took forever to find the weekly virtual sale paper. You can no longer tap on a product and have it added to your list. No clue on how it works now. Will be deleting and going back to the old fashioned black marker when i get it in the mail on Saturday and sitting at the table. They are working in it, the sale paper is the first thing i see when it opens but still a ton of problems. I'll bump it up a bit because they are trying.
Worst app design. The old version was much better. This version lags, is sensitive and is slow. Looking for deals and coupons takes forever. The barcode scanner shows different prices to the app. Last time I went to stop on shop I left everything because the prices were completely wrong. This app doesn't help people who need to plan their shopping trips because they have little time.
IT IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT. The new update is so slow and unintuitive I can't stand it. I can no longer mark deals from the weekly ad to my shopping list. None of my coupons from this week show up on my account anymore. It is very slow to navigate. Why change it if it worked great? If all you guys wanted was a white layout, then just change the graphics!
Buggy App! After signing in, some new "Login" bar sits at the bottom of the screen, over the navigation buttons. There is an "X", which does absolutely nothing! It does not close this "Login" bar. I have no choice but to shut down my phone, to exit this S&S app. What a piece of work!!! After clearing Cache and Data, no change. After uninstalling, then reinstalling app, no change. What's up with that???
The update to this app is absolutely awful. I can no longer just look at the weekly ad and add things to my shopping list. To even add things to a shopping list it's at least three extra clicks, not to mention if they don't have any information on an item you can't even add it to a shopping list. The UI is clunky, boring, and a pain to use. The entire app is slow because it seems like they added way too much at once. I hate to sound like just someone who hates change, but this update is awful.
Decent app but the latest version no longer shows which e-coupons attach to an item. This was an extremely useful feature and needs to be fixed. Also has these long standing problems. The button you push to scan an item UPC in the search box is MUCH too small and I often hit the voice button. Finally, it shows produce prices per item which is just ridiculous for items sold by the pound (which it does not show). How can I compare grocery prices when you don't tell me what the price per pound is?
This is one of the worst apps I've ever used. It lags badly. It glitches and won't let you click on some items. Between those two issues, random things end up in your cart. Every update it only gets worse. Its down for maintenance right now and I'm wondering about what fresh hell I'll find when its back up. Switching to this app from the previous peapod one was pointless, because this one is worse.
Works just fine. Better than Peapod in that it doesn't close when you hit "return" button. In all other ways looks just like Peapod which is fine with me. Update January 2021: the app used to have custom shopping lists, I created 5 lists for different groups of products. Haven't used the app for a while, and now I see that there is only one list, all my products are combined into one list which is not convenient. Why this good tool was removed. I am very unhappy and don't want to use it anymore.
Both the UX and UI are worse in the newly restructured app. Everything has more steps. Using it no longer feels fluid. Even the branding and colors feel more clunky and off-putting. They may have consolidated multiple apps for various goals (in store shopping, peapod, etc) but now it is more jumbled, and the paths that were once distinct and easy in their own self-contained apps interfere with each other and make this a chore. Bad choices by the team working on this app.
Hit or Miss Always!. I have to reload continuously when planning my shop or delivery. Ridiculous! Updating just under a year from the last review, this app is always hit or miss. It's unable to sign me in because I logged out and I had to reinstall the app, uninstall the app, log out, log back in and now I'm unable to add groceries. I know everything I said just sounds a mess, my point. Every week it's something... I don't understand why they don't have it together by now. This could be a great
Upgrade is terrible . Prior app was amazing, now it's just confusing and honestly a downgrade. 1. You can't even view the circular it only shows you the weekly specials. Old one you're able to view the entire circular and digitally circle it 2. The coupon is not one continuious page you have to click on "more pages" which brings you down the the end of the coupons where you have to scroll from bottom up. And if there's another page? Same thing happens after you click more pages again.
Lots of bugs, but could be good. If you click on an item to look at it or look at your cart, account or really any screen it gets stuck on that screen with no way to back out. The app doesn't fit on my screen, and I have a huge screen. It could be great for adding shopping list or ordering groceries for pickup, but the bugs make it impossible. I do use this to pull up my card number since I was never given a physical card.
