Works fine for me, no full screen adds that prevent me from using the app, just small ones at the bottom of the screen. HOWEVER, it won't stop playing the first 18 seconds of the Harry Potter theme song on an endless repeated loop. I do not have that song downloaded anywhere on my phone for the app to be able to use. It is not set as the timer tone. It only stops if i shut the app down, only to start again as soon as I open it again. Kind of unsettling.
Cleanly written app that does its job well. only gripe is that sometimes if the phone is locked sound notifications no longer issue and you only get a very short, one-time haptic feedback. The issue is not always consistent, and I think that it all just comes down to an Android system wide setting to allow certain apps to forcibly wake the phone, that I don't have. Otherwise superbly done app.
Extension was better. The ads are intrusive & there doesn't seem to be a way to keep it on top. You can't size the timer box as small as on the extension which is a big problem for smaller screens. Overall not impressed. I was forced to get the app because of the end of chrome extensions, but I'm going to have to find a different timer. This one isn't working. The extension was great. This app is terrible!
Best stopwatch hands down. You can use the volume rockers to start stop time, I think you can export lap times to csv. But like most great apps, it now has full screen popup ads. Instantly went from a 5 star experience to a 1 star quick uninstall. I would pay up to $3 for this app without ads, pls notify me when you plan on bettering your user experience by doing so. Thank you.
I've used this timer for years on my Moto Droid Turbo and really loved the versatility between using the stopwatch and the timer. I recently switched to a Galaxy S10e and the toggle between the two functions doesn't work. Now, it won't switch to the timer mode which is what I need it for the most! I'm very disappointed that I can't use it anymore and I'm searching for a replacement. If there is a fix for this issue, please advise.
Uninstalling: now clunky, undismissable notifications, no beuno. It was a simple, elegant way to time relay laps, boiling eggs or your intervals at the gym. And so I used it for a very long time. But after updates, ads are ridonkulous, notifications cannot be dismissed from the drop down (have to force stop from Play), and I had to turn the sound alarm off completely because it became utterly obnoxious, lengthy and uneditable. Boo.
Used this app for a long time (several years), and as the years go on, the more ads pop-up. These ads are intrusive, and take up most of the screen - a lot of the times they're set up in a way to trick the user into pressing them. I am all for supporting developers via ads, but this just isn't worth it anymore. There are other stopwatch apps with less intrusive ads - don't waste your time.
No longer like this app anymore. It is literally simple and perfect for what it does. But I'm telling, if your reading this, the ads are going to annoy the living hell out of you! Everytime I need to reset the clock, ad pops up! It takes at least 3-4 seconds for the ad to finish until you can close it. Ridiculous!
App worked great for years. Started getting annoyed by ad popups every time an alarm was reset but that's minor. Eventually the alarm stopped playing any sound alltogether (even though they would play in the settings menu) and only vibrated for a few seconds before not only stopping but removing the notification as if the alarm was never there. Changing settings or reinstalling the app entirely didn't fix anything.
Have had this app for years and initially thought it was great as it did exactly what I needed it to but over time it's become less usable. What I find most annoying is the placement of the ads. I get that free apps need to show advertisements but the timing of when they show the ad is extremely annoying to the point of not being able to use the app for certain applications. The ad pops up when you hit stop on the stopwatch for the first time and it's not always easy to identify how to remove it
well, the audio/sound is no longer working for the timer. It has not worked on my Samsung S8 Plus since probably summer or fall of 2018. I'm finally getting around to test it and I can guarantee that no setting will fix it. This app has now become totally worthless. the developers must be a bunch of bozos if they can't fix something that so many people have been complaining about.
I've used this app for a LONG time, and I never used to have this problem, but with a recent update (sometime in the past few months?) whenever a timer has completed, an additional timer notification shows up, with a negative value counting up. So now I have to stop/reset/clear TWO notifications every time. I think this started around the time the app was updated so that you could no longer swipe away a timer notification and instead have to hit "Reset". It is super annoying.
The timer and stopwatch work really well, and I use them every week for work. My only complaint is the volume of the alarm when the timer runs out. It is SO LOUD, even with the volume set to the lowest setting through the in app settings.
I used this for years..installed it again on my new phone and the ads are too much.. Half the time you press RESET on your stopwatch it hits with a full screen ad. I'm fine with the small one at the bottom but until it's fixed..I'm out..hard to get accurste time sometimes because of it. Let me know if you change it.
Doesn't work. Used to be the best timer/ stopwatch on android, but now it's got bugs, non-stop ads and inappropriate links in ads. None of these things the developer is trying to fix. So if you need a stopwatch go get a different one, this is not the app you want to use half the time it doesn't start. Trust me you don't want to be anywhere near this app.
I used to love this app because the timer didn't continue to ring until you turned it off like some apps. But after the new update now it does that which is annoying. if I'm in a gym and setting a timer across for me and it continues to beep it's the bothersome. you should have at least left it an option to turn it to the two beeps and then stopping.
I used this app for several years and it was great. Now if you navigate away from the app it no longer sounds the alarm. You literally have to have it open and on the screen for the countdown timers alarms to sound. I'll fix the review if they fix the app...
Can't find a way to adjust the time other than the preset 4 choices. I have hearing aids that relay the sound of the phone. It comes through at deafening full blast volume. There is no option of setting the volume level for the alarm.
The ads will stop your music. The alarm wont go off if your phone is in rest mode most of the time and sometimes wont go off for several seconds after the countdown has ended. Gets glitchy when you have multiple apps running. Not a good Gym timer especially if you use a lot of different gym apps.
Used this timer 3 times and thought it was great. Then on the last use the alarm didn't go off, so it cannot be trusted. Did notice that there was a notification on my phone for some other app updates being available, so maybe notifications interfere with it working.
Even after tweaking all the settings, making sure the sound on my phone was on and ready, it still doesn't make any sort of sound when the timer goes off. It is effectively useless for that function. Stopwatch mode is fine, but finicky.
It's a timer and stopwatch. It times and... stopwatches. Hard to screw up. Sometimes has trouble with keeping the screen on, though; sometimes the screen turns off anyways despite being set not to. But yeah, not a lot to say otherwise .
Better, still annoying that timer rings 10sec instead of 2 sec as it used to do. Please allow us to have just a very quick ring for timer and have it stop. Old review: Timer used to be great, just ringing very loudly 3 times. With new update goes on and on, and difficult to stop.
Was looking through all these fancy timer apps, just trying to find a single one that could be set to vibrate only instead of playing a sound- this was the only one I could find that does that. Good stuff. The ads are a pain, though
Everything works exactly as you'd expect, but the ads can be intrusive and annoying. Also, would be nice to be able to "favorite" timer settings. The app remembers recently used ones, but the most commonly used can get bumped out of the list easily.
What has happened to this app?? After using it extensively for several years as a countdown timer, all of the sudden the alarm doesn't sound at the end of the timer count. There's no value in it for me without that feature. Update: 4/21/21 The sounds at the end isn't entirely consistent but enough for me to keep using it. When it works, it works well.
Notification text is wrong color on Android 12 dark theme. Otherwise, this is the only stopwatch app I could find that shows time elapsed as a status bar icon, so useful for that alone.
Works best for me as a timer. For food cooking in kitchen as stove timer not loud. If I am reading and a TV program I like starts soon, I use the timer in case I get lost in the book. Also I am able to set it up for 60 seconds to take my pulse, as it works better than watching the clock while counting beats, & that's even if your clock has a second hand. Many uses for laps also.
All in all, a decent stopwatch. The biggest problem I have with it, are the ads which pop up at the worst moments. The very moment you are trying to time a race, or someone exercising, an ad blocks you and you lose the chance to time whatever you were supposed to time. Purely retarded of the developer to not just have the ads pop up when it starts up and or when the app is closed. It loses the utility.
