Storm Alert Lightning & Radar

Really loved this app and paid for the lightning subscription. It worked very well to alert for incoming rain, thunderstorms and distance if lightning strikes. For the last few months it's stopped notifying unless the app itself is open. That does me no good at all. I have waited for them to update it and fix the issue but there hasn't been a fix. I have since deleted the app and cancelled my subscription. If, in the event, they do fix the app I absolutely would redownload and rate 5 stars.

Again used to be good, but developer doesn't respond to questions! Notifications sounds don't work so you wouldn't know what sound means what, either way it's fairly irrelevant as app doesn't send out notifications of incoming storms anyway.... Unless you manually open the app up (somewhat defeats the purpose)! Great shame, as it used to be one of the better ones.

Since May 31, 2019 update app does not give any notifications and no alert sound. One has to be inside of the app for it to notify, by then I do t need to be notified because I can see the weather myself. Talk about screwing up a good app. I have never had any trouble with it till this new stupid update. I hate it when stupid developers create updates that render an app non-functional. I mean if it isn't broke why mess it up. It's stupid. Now I got to find another app to use that works.

This application is simple, clean, easy to configure, and reliable. I've been using this application since the summer of 2015 on a variety of phones in a variety of locales. This application does exactly what it says it does. I've used other applications and even stand alone lightning detectors and this is the best one.

I'm a trained spotter and this is was favorite app for lightning because it was the ONLY app that delineated lightning strike type between cg+ and cg- and cc until April 2020 update that took that away with a very disappointing and surprising update. UPDATE: AUG 1 2020. They attempted a fix for the lightning issue. It shows all strikes as cg+ which is totally inaccurate. So this app is still useless for Samsung Galaxy s10 5g. Such a shame. I'll be advising my students to delete.

I used it for awhile on 3 separate occasions I get alerted to very high battery drain. Associated with this app. It's a nice application but it has a glitch it will drain your battery very quickly just running in background.. Beware

Used to work great on my old phone, it stopped distinguishing cloud to ground from cloud to cloud strikes when I got a new phone. It updated and now tells me cloud to ground strikes are just cloud lightning and cloud lightning is showing as cloud to ground. I know this because I compared it to my old phone that's running on wifi. Please update this app! When it was working it's the best one out there!

awesome app! well worth the subscription fee. I oversee pollution cleanup for my job, so lightning detection is crucial. Also, the info on individual storm cells is amazing. Prevented me from sustaining hail damage recently!

One of the best... it has the little bitty radars that show you hail,strong, high winds, and tornadic... many other weather apps took this away I don't know why but this is one of the last ones left that I could find that has it all...

Just downloaded the app, i do rescue and safety so having a lighting app is crucial to my job. not paying till i see if i even get alerts and weather updates. seen some issues with peoples comments already but i rather see if it will work for me before i pay a dime. as literly i would be putting the safety of my rescue team and my self in the hands of thid lightning app.

It can be unstable at times. Not taking a chance getting the Subscription thats required to activate the lightning feature. Its on my uninstall list if space is needed.

i just got the app so i can see the lightning strikes. i need it for my work but nothing came up on the radar. i tried to restart the app and uninstalled then reinstalled it but nothing would come up

I love this app. very versatile, and very accurate the reason I left off one star is because of the non updating widget, probably because my phone yes is eating Oreos if you can fix that I'd be happier than a pig in poop

I love this app.However is stopped giving weather alerts just this year.2020 I checked all the settings. if you can find out why about the alerts and fix it i will add it back in..

Over great weather app I've had and downloaded sveral in past I love how it has cones in various colors depending on storm strength that you click on and says if it's A thunderstorm watch, warning, etc Tornado, hail, high wind....

The alert tones keep coming on-usually when I open the weather app. I have turned off the alerts tones though.

In order for the app to tell you if there is lightning nearby, you have to go into the app and select "Activate Lightning." This is not very useful.

latest UPDATE lol. Ok, i got an email back from them. The system has had issues because of the storms that hit the Midwest. He said he just released an update. So I'm going to look now.

Even in it's diminished capacity, it is still the BEST one stop shop for mobile phone storm chasing out there & I am still using it today on my Samsung Note Ten +....thank you for keeping this Ole Dog Hunting! 😉

Its a great app, but after the last update my widget freezez and doesn't update

It's ok maybe get rid of the stupid rings on the radar back to weather bug I go.

Lightning is subscription only. Other apps offer one time purchase.

Doesn't warn at all unless you open the app.

Doesn't notify unless you open the app first.

Doesn't give you enough information properly for the next weather day's
