Storm Team 8 - WOODTV8 Weather

I had been missing the video forcasts on this app since last September and decided to uninstall and reinstall the app to see if that would help. It did not, it installed an "updated" version which I do NOT like. I preferred the old app with it's layout, it was much easier to find what I was looking for. I also preferred the older radar. This was my go to app for local weather but I may have to look elsewhere as others have.

Loved the old app. The update feels disorganized and not very user friendly. Plus some of it appears to go off screen. It takes awhile to find what you're looking for. I miss swiping through the options to quickly and easily locate the 8-day, hourly, and video forecasts. I've been getting so annoyed with this app, I just pull up the website or use a different app. I'm sad to say it but this one's getting deleted for now. Hopefully it'll improve again in the future.

Hate it! For years the previous app gave dependable info, video forecasts, because I cannot always be glued to a device at showtime. The menu is ackward. Flashy but not functional. And after loading it a second time, just doesn't work. Just clicks on and off. Why try and fix something that always worked. Reviews in general agree, full of dissatisfaction. Sorry I will miss fine weather forecasters, but now after 6+ years, moving on.

This app was so great in the old version. I do like some of the new features, but it is clunky to use now. It takes a while to find things and load. Poor user interface with this update. I can't get a full screen video. Everything seems to not fit my phone screen and cuts off a lot. Doesn't update widget and widget is so big. Changing zip code doesn't work any more.

Had the old app for years. It was great, easy to use and I could always get the info I needed quickly. This new one is awful. Much harder to use, super cluttered and busy, and over all not visually appealing or helpful. Fox 17 has almost the same app as Storm Team 8 used to, and it works beautifully for now. So I'll be using theirs instead. Uninstalling this app.

The weather info in notification bar at top of phone doesn't show what the weather really is unless u open the app & this should change automatically as weather changes. Going to Fox 17 for my weather. Doesn't even show rain when it's pouring. Getting worse all the time. Now it doesn't even show actual weather to match what wood tv 8 meteorologists say. Weather not close to what wood tv8 is forecasting. Garbage app. Way off what meteorologist show live on channel 8 news.

Horrible. I this is a major step back from the old app. This looks like something designed by a high school student. Way worse than their old app and looks like something from windows 98.

Love the WOOD TV8 weather crew on TV, but this app is extremely disappointing. It doesn't even open. Don't waste your time.

This new interface is cumbersome to use. The display is too large for a mobile device, it's more like you would see on a laptop. The multiple ads are annoying. The radar is much more difficult to use. If I can't reinstall the old version I'll be using Fox 13 until TV 8 gets a better version.

Not a huge fan of the updated app The interface is cumbersome. The hourly forecast is gone. The daily forrcast us simply what you see in the website which is filled with ads and very rough to navigate. We don't need a weather app filled with a billion pop up ads and worthless click bait links The radar is not clear and the map background is cluttered. I don't need to see that much geographical features when I just want to see where the rain is

Not good at all. I uninstalled the old app because the video forecasts were not updating. Loaded the new one and it is unusable. Bad design and non responsive interface - opens too big for my screen, and looks like a mess...also crashes on me. Love Storm Team 8 but not a fan of new app; uninstalled, please redesign and fix issues and I will try it again.

I had the old app for years. Loved it. I watched forecast videos almost daily. This new version is information overload. Its visually cluttered. I can no longer find the video forecasts I relied on. I find it to be too much. I am no longer a fan. I am moving on. Deleting this app.

This used to be my favorite weather app -- as a painter & snow plower my vocation is almost always dependent on decent weather reports. In the last few years, the popup ads are noisy, ridiculous, interrupting, & extremely annoying. Can't hardly stand them. Also, wish they would include their best accumulation estimates. Huge winter storm coming -- app has no accumulation estimates. More than anyone, I know it's hard to make guesstimates -- but, would rather have a ballpark figure than nothin

This app is almost worthless. Way to many ads pop up whenever I try to read or view articles. very frustrating. Try and read about the weather and an add pops up congratulating me on winning a Costco card or some other spam inducing win. If you do the surveys be prepared for annoying phone calls and spam emails. Even if you don't take the surveys you're going to be receiving annoying spam calls. Very disappointed with this app. Uninstalling this app.

Not a fan of the new update. Thought the apps are suppose to be easier to navigate?? I liked that I could watch the weather report easily on the other version. This update makes it feel like I'm looking at the woodtv desktop on the app on my phone..not small screen friendly. I'll use fox 17 app until woodtv can rethink this update!!

You have changed it, and the old one was much better. You can't check on a specific day. In the 8 day forecast. Also I have installed, and Uninstaller, numerous times, because the app won't open. You had a great app, but, this one is awful. It's that old saying.." If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Latest Update is AWFUL! I have used this app and widget daily for YEARS and the update really screwed it up, it's harder to find what I am looking for, the radar is the WORST part not to mention how absolutely huge the widget is! I switched to Fox 17's app instead because it's like Woodtv 8's old version. Stick with the original, it worked way better.

Wow on my last phone android 9 worked great, now it's a horrible experience! I really hope your IT department can revamp it to work for Android 10 and above it really was an easy and very reliable weather app I hate to see such a great start to flush itself down the toilet, but someone obviously dropped the ball.

I used to use this app exclusively for weather. I loved the video weather report I could watch in the morning. Since the update and change I don't use the app anymore. Bring back the video weather and I'll be back. The old app was much easier and understandable than the new one.

Please bring back the old app! It worked. This one does not. Often will not even open. When it does, it takes forever to display anything. Would have given it No stars but that wasn't possible. I'm seeing a low rating on this and lots of unhappy people. PLEASE tech ppl at WOOD, pay attention and DO something

The ads are really irritating. At first I thought this was a great app, but then the ads just kept coming. I finally deleted the app from my phone because of all the irritating ads.The ap even talks out loud about things, but it really turns out to be nothing more than an ad!

The Android version of this app is junk. Crashes all the time or won't open at all. The iOS version that I have on my iPad works flawlessly. If the designers could fix the Android version, they'd have something.

this app has way too many ads that do cover, obstruct, hinder, and/or prevent viewers from seeing and/or using the functions. Now, 11/13/19, this application of Woodtv8 weather has a glitch in its program that causes an error to pop up and won't let any further reading of extended weather reports/ predictions!!!! When that happens the entire program has to be closed, also the app icon display selection has been totally removed, the program is non functioning beyond current conditions pages

While this is my "go to" weather app, the forced ads prior to getting to the radar are annoying. Especially when one of the ads screams out "DIARRHEA!". While I see the humor in this, the ad seems to pop up during the most inappropriate times.
