Story Cutter for Instagram

Story Cutter... What could this app do? Perhaps, cut long videos into perfectly long segments to fit social media limits, but also retain the appearance of a continuous video. At least that's what I thought. I got it, and first thing was the 10 second limit. What stories are 10 seconds long? At least make it 15, but no, I'm an idiot and I paid $4 for the full version. I get a long video, cut it down with InShot to be 30 seconds, and import it into Story Cutter to perfectly halve it. Low and behold, after setting it to 15 second segments, I have 3 videos. One is 15 seconds, the second is 13, and the third is 3 seconds long. Now I'm no mathematician, but 15+13+3 isn't 30. Last time I used a TI-84 Plus, 30/15 was two, or two videos of 15-second length each. It turns out, this app doesn't know how to divide by the time you set it to. Don't bother with it, it's an actual scam. It won't do the job unless you like your videos shorter than intended and divided into randomly unequal segments. Stay with your video cutting app, like InShot, it's more reliable than this. I wouldn't highly recommend you NOT use this app.

Works great! I've used it a handful of times and even though the free version cuts the story in 10 sec increments (which no biggy), it does it well and each segment flows seamlessly into the other. There are ads which is notmal with any freebie. I am really close to purchasing the full version. I will prob use it a few more times before buying.

The app actually cut my media fastly in 15" or different size videos. But I can't share directly from the app, so to me it's kind of a pain in the neck. Moreover, if I select a video, I can't get back because the app can't just move forward to the cut section. Not to consider that, from my gallery, I can't upload several videos in the story section... You wanted the rating so bad? Here we are. Aw, didn't I mention that? When the rating pop up appear, you can't but close the app to delete it.🤦‍

app doesn't work, made me purchase to be able to break up into 15 second segments or more as opposed to 10 seconds and keeps making my first 3 videos 15 seconds and instead of completing it with a final 15 second video (a clip which I made sure was exactly 60 seconds) it always gives me a 12 second and 3 second video for a total of 5 videos. I tried everything, even restarted my phone.

Do not bother downloading this app. 1. Video was converted to wrong aspect ratio, and there's no setting to change/adjust it. So you can only view a part of the video on screen 😠. 2. It only allows you to edit the video into 10-sec story clips, only opening the longer video options (20 - 60 sec) after you pay for it, which I did.

Hi, I was satisfied with what this app offered. It allows you to trim (automatically) your videos (stories) into multiple segments consisting of certain durations. The free duration option is 10 seconds and the rest '15-60 secs' is only accessible if you upgrade and do a paid subscription; which is not necessary if your video (story) doesn't go over ten video segments. Also, when you have divided your desired video and exported (shared) it, it doesn't place a watermark. I highly recommend 👍

Cannot share all segmented output videos in once. But boy, does it produce really good and usable output! No doubling in video size. No corrupted videos. And it's fast. The most important missing feature is quality control.

So far so good. The free version cuts into 10 second video clips. The 15 second clips needed for Instagram is only available with the paid version. So I'll most likely end up getting the paid version but it does the job that needs to be done!

good when it works. half the time if i upload a clip that is eg 29 seconds long and select 15 seconds for instagram stories, it will cut it to 16 sec and 13 which absolutely no use whatsoever. If you set the limit to 15 it should be cut at 15. Its the time equivalent of ordering a vegan burger and finding out it comes topped with cheese and bacon. When it works it is good though. And simple. Just needs that bug ironed out.

It's a great simple to use app, but PLEASE sort out the issue with the 15 second option cutting into 16 and then 14 second videos, just paid to upgrade as I loved how simple it was to break it into 10s videos, and it's not performing how it should. Also, after cutting, please make a 'share all' button so you don't have to keep going in and out of the app to share each individual segment. Huawei p30 pro

You have a serious bug where the length of the segments exceed the selected option. I usually get 16 second videos when I try to get 15 second cuts. 10 second cuts usually come out at 12. Sometimes one or more of the cuts is corrupted and get be uploaded to Facebook.

Well, it does cut the videos. But even with pro mode first frame of each slice is brighter than the others. How the hell did you even achieve that? I was hoping to use that to spead up my uploading process, but looks like I'l still have to use my PC after all.

The app kept freezing up and it's not working at all! At first it was working fine, then once the glitches started up, it was over for me. I had to end up deleting the app and did this twice.

Overall really good up but could I please ask to make changes in the app? When I upload the video and it is split into stories it all works great but when I share the video segments to insta stories the video keeps playing in the app while I edit the story on insta meaning that both videos are playing simultaneously. Could you please make it so that when I click share to insta the video within the app stops playback? Thanks in advance.

it was fine but the last update is awful. it cuts my videos to 1 min or more instead of 10 or 15 seconds. When I try to upload my story everytime the Instagram won't upload some segments especially the second segment of each video no matter what I do. now 2 days and I am not able to upload any story. I'm really mad that I paid for you for nothing. bring back the previous cutting version or I'll delete your app

This app is great... when it works. It strait up just stopped loading. For a person running the marketing for a business that is a major let down because I could not make my post in time to keep my audience engaged and active. Resolve this app stopping issue and I believe you will have a great product. Until then I have had to search for other apps.

I paid for the full version of this app so that I could split my videos into 15 second Instagram stories (how Instagram likes them) but for some reason the app is keep making the first video clip 16 seconds!! This means when I upload to Insta it splits it into two, even though the purpose of me paying for this app was to pre split longer videos. Annoying!!

I'd like to request a refund please, I emailed to ask for help using the app but have had no reply. It will cut videos but then the sound is always distorted. Each 15 second clip has to be uploaded individually, directly from the app - there's no option to select all.

I purchased the full version of this app. When I switched to a new phone the full version didn't transfer. The Play Store helped me try different things to get the full version reinstalled, to no avail. They instructed me to contact the app creator but they have not responded. I would like a refund on my purchase.

It's a fairly easy app to use. Does the job. Wish there some kind of filters we could use to jazz it up a bit and maybe have a choice of longer than 10secs video for the free version however it is okay enough to keep using it for what I need to do.

Free version. Pretty simple, but wish you didn't have to post each clip individually. I wanted to just send the whole thing to Instagram and have it post this stories. The main thing it does for me is cutting a longer video into story segments. Still helpful!

Before starting work in the application, make sure you have free space in the phone's memory! In the absence of space, the film is divided into black photos. If you have free memory space, it divides perfectly - great movie quality, sound, very fast application work :-) TOP TOP TOP

It's a good app, but I'm having problems with whatsapp videos, some videos are not 30 seconds and when added to the status there are missing parts at the end of the third or fourth split, not happening on 15 sec splits, please add option to configure the desired time for splitting.

Thought here's a dedicated app that will do the job , but before buying decided to try it out on free version- why the ... Do you guys do a fade into black and fade out of black on the cuts , isn't it the point to have a seamless cuts that flow unnoticed... This is just frustrating.

Experience once that the app keep closing unable to open, send in an email about the incident as for now it's seems ok. I hope it work properly as it's a paid app. So far this is a good app for people who want to cut their long video and post to Instagram feeds. 😊

The problem of 15 second cuts coming out as 16 second clips still persist. Today I tried to cut 27 second video to two clips for Instagram and I got 16 and 11 second clips, so the whole idea for this app is broken on Oneplus Pro 7T. I realized that I've sent an email about this to developer 6/14/2019 and never got a response so I'm not placing my bets that it will be repaired.

I downloaded the app yesterday, to cut videos into 15s ones I have to upgrade and pay for it, so I upgraded. The problem is that the APP doesn't work at all, every time I try to cut my video it tells me that there's a n error! There's no email to contact them! I just Got ROBBED AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Not easy to use. I aploaded a video, the app cut it in 20 pieces by 10 sec. I would assume I should be able to post all these 20 short clips in to IG stories but it's not posible, you need to upload one clip at a time. Why so complicated?

Okay app. I upgraded to premium however app is buggy. Often it won't let me cut my video when I select one. Have to close and reopen, really mess with it to be able to cut the videos. Other times it works fine with no issues.
