Story Saver for Instagram - Story Downloader

This used to be a great app, but its main function, which is to download pics/vids from accounts while in the StorySaver interface, fails completely all the time. You can still download Stories, just not Pics/Vids anymore like in the past, which is a massive shame, becuase having to copy individual links of several posts is time consuming. What's sadder is that the devs appear to have abandoned this wonderful app, considering there we haven't been any updates in a long time.

This recent update is complete disaster. No longer allows to download photos, videos and igtv stories from profiles. As its names says, "story saver" it just only does that and now you can't go to profiles and save photos from their feed. Sent several emails to the support team but they are unresponsive. the older version was fantastic. Its sad seeing an all-rounder app gone to dogs

This app was working fine before. Everytime I try to download media by going to a user's profile feed, the error message appears "Failed to load data." even though the preview had already loaded. This also happens when I try to download from my saved posts. The app is still able to download stories, highlights, and profile pictures. Not sure about the other options.

Very quick and easy to use. Until a few days ago it was running with no problem. Now it's not possible to go to a profile and to select one or more photos / videos and open up or download them. You can download the photo or video from the profile when you see it on feed. Whet you get inside you get an error "Failed to get data". There is no problem with the credentials. I have logout and login again, clear the cache, etc.

Until this week, it was the best downloader I've tried so far that I paid for premium close to two years ago. Then it got the "failed to load data" for all photos and videos except Stories. I'm already using a diff app to download. I'll keep this one for one more week and give it a chance to update. If the issue isn't resolved, bye bye!

Pointless to go for the Premium app when half of the functions do not work at all. "Failed to get data" appears from everything except story reels. Seems like the developers aren't listening to reviews at all. I'd buy the premium if you fixed the API to allow for regular posts as well. This is absurd. It worked just fine until it didn't. At least roll back the app to the previous, working version.

It used to work perfectly. I loved the app. Easy to use and very functional, specially against other similar apps. But now, it simply doesn't work anymore. Keeps saying "failed to get data" - usually when trying to download directly from a profile. Generally, from my own feed, it's fine, but sorta does defeat the purpose of the app.

Really liked this app, works great and decent interface. I use it daily, but the ads have gotten out of hand recently. 1-2 min ads that you can't close out of is ridiculous. *Updated 6/2/20: paid ad-free version now available. Worth the cost if you use frequently. *Updated 03/06/22: App used to work great. I used it constantly, but it no longer functions. Just get an error message anytime you try to download a post. Too bad. Guess I shouldn't have paid for it after all. Uninstalling for now.

Same as other recent reviews, for a long time the app served its purpose but the devs have managed to break it so thoroughly that there is no longer any reason for anyone to download. You now get an unskippable ad every time you start it and you can't download or view anything because it gives the error "failed to get data"

I currently am using a Samsung S22 ultra. The app has just stopped working. When opening the app now. The app constantly crashes and closes even after latest update. Have had no problems since. App appears to be very unstable now. As phone device care in setting stats battery and crashes issue with this app. Constant error messages when downloading or attempting to download images.

This is so much better than other IG downloaders. The only complaint I have (and it's a big one) is that recently when I got a new phone and tried to transfer my settings for this app, NONE of them transferred. I lost my dozens of profiles I had stored in Favorites, and the app no longer remembered which photos and stories I had already downloaded. REALLY frustrating. Also, it would be nice to be able to sort Favorites, instead of them being stuck in the order in which they were added.

The app would fail to stay logged in to my Instagram account. And it just got annoying having to keep re-logging back in each session. It forced me to find an alternative to saving stories and I did. I'm currently saving stories using a web browser on my phone. Works perfectly and without any hassle from an app that is only giving me trouble and taking space on my phone.

It's perfect for ripping feeds and stories to share, or not. I tried an experiment and scrolled to the absolute bottom of someone's feed, then hit the rip button. It took awhile, but successfully grabbed everything. A total mistake in hindsight. But it's good to know that it's a possibility with this app, at least :)

It downloads posts easily, but I can't see how this is really intended to be geared towards saving stories. It saves everything into one big folder, so if you're saving more than one story or stories from more than one account, you'll have to scroll through everything. If it created a folder for each account like other apps, so downloads stay organized, it'd gain at least 2 stars. As is, it loses another for having sketchy playback other than immediately reposting a story.

My first review gave this 4 stars. But, as the most recent reviews stated, after the most recent updates, any attempt to download results in a "failed to load data" error. No replies from the developer. Ashame as the app worked well for a long time and the interface was easy to navigate.

The app is amazing and super helpful, it only lacks one option, redownloading the images. I recently lost more than 10000 important data and media that I have to redownload but I can't. It will take days for me to sweep through the history to redownload the images one by one and there is no option to redownload the images in high numbers. I will give the fifth star when you add this option. Thanks for your great app.

Failed to get data. Failed to get data. Failed to get data. All I see now for everything. Even when I'm logged in on my account and using this app to browse Instagram and try and open a post that is already previewed, failed to get data. Cleared cache, logged out and back in. Nothing. Used to be the best out there but now it's worthless.

Suddenly stopped working...I have been using this for at least a year now with no issues. It keeps saying failed to get data and when it doesn't say that it says already copied to clipboard but you don't see the file. I Uninstalled and installed it...no changes...time for a new app 🤷🏾‍♀️

it functions flawlessly, does the job, but the navigation could use some work. my biggest gripe is that when viewing a profile's feed and stories, you have to maximize a photo, download it, and then cannot swipe left/right to go to previous/next photo. that would make the app much easier to navigate.

Update: Doesn't work anymore. Says "Failed to get data" whenever trying to save posts. Original review: The absolute best Instagram Story saver – it lets you batch/mass download multiple/entire library of Stories with a single tap. Don't let the name deceive you though – it does much more than save Stories! You can also save IGTV posts, posts, profile photos, and even copy captions and/or hashtags!! It's absolutely amazing. I couldn't be more satisfied.

mostly it's really nice, and one of only two apps of this type that I've kept and paid for. one of the main reasons it doesn't get 5 stars is that I can't swipe between stories or feed posts–if I maximize one, I have to tap the back arrow to return to the selection screen to tap on another one to maximize. also, apparently no way to sort the people on my favorites list?

Update: I believe my Instagram art account was disabled because I was using this app. Please fix your app so this doesn't happen again. I dropped it down to 1 star because this app has way too many ads! I understand ads are needed but after viewing 1or 2 photos that is becoming too much. The other thing is it keeps reporting that there is suspicious activity and gets me to reset the password. This happens a lot! Please rectify these issues. Thank you.

This was a great app I would say it still is for the working part Previously there was a support for post download now it says failed to get data can you please update the app & restore that service. Similar issue raised by many others. Also another thing which was a downgrade was support for split screen is it device specific or it's just gone? Hope you read & reply

Tried using old version of the app but it still has the same issue "network error" though Internet works great. Tried also clearing cache and cookies, uninstalling and reinstalling the app but nothing seems to work. Can you please fix the bug with "Network Error"??? - updated review. I found a way to resolve the issue. It is with login. Thanks for responding though. More power!

Whenever I try downloading a story or a post directly from my Instagram by hitting the share option it just gets stuck on the message box "Checking for URL" with the spinning wheel. Been using it for over a year now and this has been happening as of late. Atm getting around by the opening the app seperately and then searching the user and then selecting the story which is a hassle but the only way to use it as of now. Please fix this ASAP!🙏🏻

I'm echoing the previous person that graded it a 1 star....worked great and now it doesn't work at all ...keeps saying 'failed to get data' .. can't even view what you saved... can't download anymore... It's like a bank savings account you can't withdraw from , so if you want to save things just to have to lose them later...this is the app for you ..right now it's worthless. 👎👎👎👎👎

I have two problems. I hope that they will be fixed as soon as possible. First, when I Download someone's profile picture and update his image, the new picture does not appear. So I have to go to History and delete the old photo so that the new image appears! As for the second problem, which made me feel bitter, I went to delete what is in History, but the surprise is that everything I downloaded went. I think that when I delete something from History, Shouldn't delete it from the phone either!

This app is good because it offers simplest way to download stories, reels, IGTV, and post from Instagram. But since a few days ago, this app is not working well. When im tried to download the post, IGTV, and reels it says failed to get data. But for story download is still working. I already tried to reinstalled the app but it still not work. Please fix this problem ASAP.

This is honestly the best Downloader I've ever used, but it has recently turned horrible as in the past week I have been unable to download videos & pics in the feed, it will download from their story but for whatever reason the feed just says "failed to get data". I even tried going to the following section, clicking on their name & doing it, still not working, I've also tried going to the Instagram app itself & copying the links from the feed & it still fails. Jan10th it happened again

I have been using this app for years now and all of a sudden, I'm unable to download anything. It just gives me the "failed to fetch data" message and doesn't do anything. This app is like none other! It is genuinely an amazing app for Instagram users mainly (for me atleast) because of the feature to access your saved posts! I just love thag and would like to be able to use the app without any issue again.
