Variety of books, and good audio readers. But a lot of bugs in this application, it stops suddenly, and sometimes when i want to play a book, it doesn't respond with a message "playback failed, couldn't connect to storytel service" (and it's not a connection problem since all the other applications work very well). It's really frustrating, because i have to keep trying for x minutes to play the book, which is really a loss of time..

For the price of the app (200 NOK/month), there should be a bigger collection of audio books (I'm thinking particularly of Norwegian). Also, there are no clever way to know/select a chapter of the book from the audio book's interface. You are forced to skip back and forth in the audio book until you find a moment where the narrator announces it. Finally, if there is an audio book and ebook of the same novel/translation on Storytel, reading + listening with synched scrolling would be nice.

Good app, especially for the price. Perhaps it could be improved by a more varried selection of the personal development genre (barely has any) + an option to report issues with an audio file that is corrupted. Only happened once but it is very unfortunate not to be able to access the book. Overall I would still recommend the app as a compliment to another one.

Update: still a lot of bugs, especially around offline usage and sleep timer combined with slowed play. I understand it's hard to remove all the bugs but still annoying. Also, sporadically the book resets itself so you have to find where you left off yourself which is very frustrating. Apart from that, love the app and use it dayly.

This is the best app for listening to audiobooks in India. The collection is good, the price is cheap(if you compare it with other options) and the best part is there is no limit on number of books you can read in a month. They even keep adding new releases pretty frequently. My only suggestion is- Please give us a option to add books under our own categories. Because it confusing to find books when you read different genres.

I wish the app would stop recommending me books I've already marked as read. I'd love to be able to select a book and mark it "not interested" to stop the app recommending it. It'd also be nice if the books marked as read would appear that way in all menus. I'd also appreciate if the books weren't divided by language in the menus. I chose two languages for a reason, and I don't like that I have to search for an "in English" section to browse all the books available to me.

i have problem with the subscription. already succed charged from shopeepay then i got warning the subscription is failed. i check the subscription status and it's already in premium BUT the next payment date is end of this month. even though i just subscribe today. pls fix it and change my next payment date.

Tried sample text and it was ok till display was on but once display dimmed app always stopped, no matter Android or iOS device was used. Mailed problem to support asking what setting should check to make app work, was advised: "we suggest you to check media player settings" WHAT SETTING?! If I new I would never ask, wouldn't I? BTW I tried similar audiobook app, worked flawlessly.

You offer a large selection of audio books in English, but not the ability to select the United States as your country preference? That makes alot of sense!

doesn't work. I tried it out few years ago with a free trial, listened to books in Russian/English. Logged in just now, hoping to buy a subscription and go on, but the Android App asks to go the website for buying subscription, and the website button for "Get Started" forwards to the mobile app. What a wonderful loop! Fix this ffs.

I have two issues keeping me from giving 5 stars: I think the price is high, if I stop using it it would be because of that. And the suggestion engine and multiple languages experiences are not smooth. Otherwise, I believe it is the best audiobook app/service in the market. The audio quality is great, the voice artists reading the books are great as well as the production quality. (therefore the high price mark, I assume). Thank you for keeping the quality high.

I can't choose a country of a language that I speak(English) as it's not even one of the options. I was just looking for an app that would work with my watch and big yikes. I can't try out the app to decide if I'm willing to pay for it because once I picked a country, everything switched to the respective language and was unusable. -10/10 And no, I'm not emailing you about it.

Very frustrating app. Once I rewind the app is unable to continue and keeps buffering. Doesn't work even after I close and open the app again. I have to finally give up the listening.

Storytel is a beautiful app. It's no exaggeration to call it the most aesthetically pleasing reading/book app. The concept is good and the navigation is smooth. Storytel brings the joy of listening to audiobooks!

Exceptional user experience. I need to know who designed this app? It's brilliant. And the narrating itself is very professional. Maybe it needs to contain more books, although it contains a very good number of books for now. Good luck

App was working fine first month and at the beginning of this month they added new books so i was exited to read and added them to my shelf, yesterday the book I was reading stoped working?? and it said the book has been removed from storytel?? when I checked my bookshelf all the new books have been removed. I've tried to reach someone from storytel to explain why this happend but no one is responding on twitter and the "help centre" on the app is literally just a bottom that doesn't even work

Worse app. I have been paying for few months. Went into the cancel subscription and followed the steps. It's never work. Send to help centre. No reply. I have been paying since Nov 2021 till now.

I have enjoyed the app for 6 months now without any issue. I used 3 months prepaid plan to read english books. But now they have a mandatory monthly subcription plan. Its ok with me but my Rupay debit card is not accepted. I also have an 1 year prepaid plan for regional language , but I am not able to access Tamil books.
