So I downloaded this for my byop and it did not fix anything.. I still can not receive picture messages. I've done this at least three different times and used the commands straight talk gave me for my specific phone. What I don't understand is I received pictures just fine the first day I transfered my phone and then all of a sudden I cant.

Straight talk has great service unless you have to contact tech support. Then it is useless. I paid extra for 10 gigs of service and only used about 2 because of horrible service. NO REFUND NO APOLOGY NO HELP. I hate all caps but hate having to use this service because the only thing worse is Verizon. Ignore the supposed friendly offer of help below. It does absolutely nothing.

The app doesn't even work smh thanks for ripping me off knowing there is no real solution besides telling me to call or visit another website just to be given the run around YET again. Honestly could have paid for a cheaper plan that didn't involve the price for data that I obviously can't use. Definitely never using straight talk again. -5 stars

I was comparing my t mobile setup with straight talk Access Point names I saw that the apn type was empty so I matched it with the t-mobile APN type. Typed in the APN type with the same APN type with t-mobile since this is a tmobile phone and saved it next thing you know I have picture messaging. So for all of you that can't get picture messaging try to put this in (default,mms,supl) in the APN type I can't promise you that I will work but its worth a try

Downloaded this app because I cannot receive pic messages on my phone. It just keeps telling me oops this isn't working try in an hour and the guy for straight talk customer service was absolutely no help and honestly was an idiot. I will not be renewing this service once my month is up. I'll be going with a different company.

This app never works. No matter what, it always gives me the "oops, try again later or go to the site". The site redirect doesnt have anything even remotely related to fixing your apn. Come on guys, I'd love to be able to use my phone.

I have a town Baraga MI. Where I don't get any service ever! My in laws live there and I visit a lot. I live in Marquette MI. and have been told that in order for it to work right I need to change my number which is not an option seeing how I have my number to help with work. Please help me resolve this issue. I have chatted online called and no one has been able to help me.

I am trying to use this app to install settings for Straight talk, but the instructions are quite unclear. The app does not explain what fields should be presented, and how the info is supposed to be copied into the settings. On the phone, the text is too small to read where the data is supposed to go. I think I have figured out where the data is supposed to go, but I am not getting any data. Very poor app. Someone needs to put together the proper documentation. This one is really bad.

Had to go through the motions twice, but this was a real life saver. I bought a nano SIM card for my BlackBerry and a SIM adapter to replace into my Note 3 so I could use both devices. Apparently, the new SIM required new apn settings. Couldn't find the correct settings online, but this app saved the day! Thanks, Dev!

Spent 2 plus hours on phone with straight talk I still am not able to resolve this. Service for 3 years and one day 3 weeks ago my net/data service stopped working. Still no resolution yet. Wifi zone is the only time I have service. Wish I had never purchased this phone $500 and it stopped working. Straight talk is the worst CS I've seen. THIS APP DID NOT HELP AT ALL.

Im using the "bring your own" device plan with a straight talk sim card - attempting to use this app for updating the APN settings so that I can actually use the data and mms messages I'm paying for.. Unfortunately this app can't read my apn settings and just throws me an error screen with no additional info :(

It wouldn't work with my phone. Kept saying I had to call customer service. (And for the other person reviewing that called everyone stupid and lazy, I have a brand new unlocked phone with a Sim sent directly from Straight Talk. It just doesn't work for everyone...no need to be insulting)

I'm using an at&t go phone, running android 5.1, and I can't get the data to work. I called their customer service, who told me that i needed to update my APN settings. As it turns out, the app gave me the same "oops" error, so I entered the settings manually. Not only were they virtually IDENTICAL to my old at&t settings, but entering them as a new APN did absolutely no good whatsoever. Now I know why they're so cheap...you get what you pay for

Out of around 10 or 15 devices none have worked with this app. It's a complete waste of time. I've been a long time customer I buy the 1 year service plan every year. Just don't waste your time with the straight talk app or customer service just Google it Google has better info than there agents and there app combined love the cell service hate the customer service, support staff and apps..

I have a BYOP and looked up the apn settings online and tried it that way but still couldn't send pics, so I tried this app, easy instructions(for someone out there who doesn't know how to do it) takes you directly to the apn setting screen on your phone and gives you step by step on how to do it.. worked like a charm! :)

My DATA has been messing up horribly, with a new card as well. I hate the fact that I have to continuously turn off the data and back on just for it to play a video! It's so slow...So I'm trying to make sure everything is updated and use the app and it reads, "Oops, it couldn't retrieve my settings & try back later, an hour to be exact." This is ridiculous, I used to love this app and how quick it was. Now I'm having to use the website?!!

Over thousand Better Business Bureau complaints a year for a reason. If you find Comcast or Time Warner aggravating, the incompetence of the employees at this company will drove you crazy. This app doesn't work & customer service and website repeatedly provided incorrect APN. I had to complain to corporate office. This app hasn't been updated in 3 YEARS! IT'S OUT OF DATE

I used this on my fiance's AT&T Galaxy S4 after I activated it's ST SIM and she verified she could make calls. It has KitKat 4.4.2, so I had to use the step-by-step SMS method to add the settings. It worked perfectly and helped make our first experience with ST's BYOP a great one.

says to install straight talk sim card..I've used straight talk for the past several years ..always buy the insurance. I'm on my fourth replacement phone...never ever as good as a new phone from Walmart. no memory..no speed..I installed this program to see if I could repair and it told me I need a straight talk sim card. so it wont move from this step ..I like straight talk. but not the insurance phones..

Dont bother with anything straight talk. You will be buying nothing. None of their services work. This app doesnt work. Their data doesnt work. Their tech support doesnt work. Nothing works. I am switching to Verizon or maybe Ting immediately. I have never been more unsatisfied with any company in my life.

Not much help when it won't even run. My issue is that there is a roaming carrier where I live (viaero) and it rolls over to them all the time since their signal is stronger but the problem is that ST doesn't give customers data on roaming carriers so I constantly have to restart my phone to get 4g to reconnect.

My internet and picture messaging stopped working via mobile network, I called straight talk and a nice man was patient, very respectful and kind trying to help, unfortunately he didn't have the right tools with him at the time and transferred me to another person. She was very nice, I told her my problem and she instantly told me to download this app. (: Everyone is so very nice when you call about an issue, I love straight talk. <3 One thing I forgot to ask, are we allowed to uninstall this afterwards?

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT! I have had them for 4 years. Got a new sim, phone went down, spent DAYS arguing with them. Was told they would compensate me with 18 service days. Never got it. Just was told by manager that their customer service rep lied and they will not honor his commitment. Asked for a supervisor, they hung up on me after 36 mins! Trust me, you do not want this kind of treatment or service. Save yourself the trouble and terrible customer lack of service, I found outhard.

Worst customer service, worst apps and still do not have the issues dealt with. I'm going to let everyone I know hear about my nightmare, let all know it is worth paying extra to get service and order to get what you pay for... stick with the carrier or someone who backs their business! I'm sure shocked ST is even still in business after reading some other reviews! This must be how they are able to keep their costs down....at our expense. Sad, I thought they were on to a great thing

For everyone having trouble using this app to fix your data, I found a solution. Their customer service is terrible. I spent an hour on the phone with them only to hear that my phone "isn't compatible", so I took things into my own hand. What you want to do is call them and have them send you your APN settings. Look under APN and save it, it should be under the name section. Go to your phone settings, click on "MOBILE NETWORKS", and from there click on "ACCESS POINT NAMES". Add a new custom access point, name it straight talk, and put in the APN they sent you. Submit it and restart your phone. Your data should work.

This didn't work at all. For two days I have been trying to get my high speed data back which I paid for. It is still saying that I used my high speed data and I'm not throttled. However I still haven't been able to stream, send pictures, or even surf the web. I'm never going to pass for extra data again. I feel incredibly ripped off.
