Strawberry Shortcake Bake Shop

Wow! This app is awesome! My girls love it and ask to play it all the time. It has appealing designs and actually tries to teach key points of baking. However, I am super frustrated that to get more than two cakes, I have to purchase a monthly subscription. Monthly!! So my girls can't choose to spend their allowance on a set of new cakes and have those in their app. No they would only get the new items for a month before having to pay more. This is terrible!! My girls are super disappointed!

Lets you work your way up, adding (sloooowly) to your larder, all the while paying for your subscription, then suddenly resets back to the unsubscribed version and won't let you access anything, causing you to lose all the progress you had made. Their best response via email when it happened for the 2nd time was "oh, probably best to cancel and restart your subscription [and lose everything I've worked to unlock TWICE] then"

Was good until they added monthly subscription costs. I was ok paying one time costs to unlock more features (like buying expansion packs), but a $5 monthly subscription for a simple kids game is a little over the the top. It's not like you're playing with other players online or anything like that.

Paid to unlock the whole game for my daughter several months ago (not cheap either). We had to reinstall it and now the game runs on subscription mode, everything is locked again, and we can't even restore previous purchases??? Wow. Very unethical. Otherwise it was actually a lovely game.

I don't know if this review is technically valid because I haven't played this game or any Budge games in years because a pattern I noticed was with the strawberry shortcake games, you can't play past level 3 or so without paying. It's fun and gives recipes but I wish I could do more than just make strawberry shortcake like move on to the next recipe.

My 2 year old loves this game so far. However all she can do is the same cake over and over with very few options. To buy the other cake options it is almost $20 CAD, not to mention the other toppings and tools. It's a well made app and easy for toddlers but not worth unlocking options.

Very poor customer service. Purchased the full app in nov 2019. App deleted all purchased upgrades. Was unable to restore purchases through the app. Contacted customer service, they started that we need to pay for the monthly membership now and log more hours of play to earn back the items we paid for. Daughter loved the game prior to the event and has now lost interest in the game. I am not going to pay for the membership to get upgrades I had already paid for. Was a good app.

Only one cake is unlocked. All the others are locked and you have to pay for each one. One is currently £2.99 and another one is £9.99. Seems like a really lovely app and i wouldn't mind paying if it was for all for £9.99.

This is the worst I used to play this b qme and I revised this and its changed I like that and things are unlocked but this is the worst I wanna make a cake on my own and not make what others want can you PLEASE add a free cook mode that's easy for kids to turn on? Okay, Budge, I get it. You need to make money but still, is it 100% necessary that every single game you have is a cash grab. It's the same as the Barbie game but a lot worse. Can you please at least try to make your games have a bit more things free. Seriously, have you never thought why people only download your games for about a day and delete it? This is why. You always have limited things to do and besides that it's never cheap. Yes, you need to make money too but is this necessary? No.

It was horrible, I didn't know that it was only one cake that was for free, others where just to collect money from us,I thought all would be free but it isn't😕 . It makes it annoying to go through the same process over and over again😈. They can't even do it for free knowing there are better ways to learn how to, COOK! I hate this game, they are just thieves in a game.Ha!!!!!!!!!😠😠😠

PLEASE FIX THIS APP! It worked for 2 or 3 weeks then stopped. I paid to join the stars baking club & my daughter had a earned a lot of items then suddenly it said she was not in the baker's club. I keep trying to restore it & it says there are no purchases to restore. I even tapped to join again & it tells me I am already subscribed. I un-installed & re-installed & that did not help. PLEASE HELP

You call this an app! This is the worst game! Almost everything is locked in this stupid game. We can only make 2 cakes and that's it? Everything needs real money. If you make at least 64% of the game free, I will rate it 4 star. But for now I rate this stupid game only 1 star. I wish I can give it 0 star. This much rating which I did, this game is not worth it.😠😬👹

Honestly, its pretty fun. But, we barley get options for anything. I really do think that maybe 1 or 2 more cake options should be free, along with more decorations, food dye, and utensils.

The app requires you to buy the colors to move on to the next level. I don't like this, i want to bake the strawberry shortcake without having to pay for the dye's, I want to move on so I can get the next cake. Can you fix this please, this is my favorite childhood game and I just re downloaded it. I don't want to in un-download this app.

The problem is I've had to buy this app 3 time because as soon as the phone is of line it goes back to trial version and it says no purchase to restore. Sure would be nice to get what i have paid for 3 times! My kids love this app and it would get more stars if i didn't keep getting ripped off.

This app is actually great but one thing is totally wrong. After I made the first cake it says very good and it stuckes. Not letting me go to the other cake. I tried so many times to pass trough it but it was same. So pls fix this trouble 🙏🙏 the only thing wrong in this app is it. I love the game so much. But pls fix that trouble I beg u 🥺🥺🙏🙏

It's a fun app but you can only use 2 cakes because it makes you pay, I would spend my money to have the full set but but I would only get it for a month before making me pay again! Also all of my budge apps have way too many adds! I'm super disappointed.

I used to love this game it is a very simple baking game just I wish you could unlock stuff easier/without paying money! I think the game would be perfect if you sold the cake for money than used that money to unlock to cake designs🙃😶

I have played this game in the past and I loved it. The reason I gave this game 2 stars is because, it needed to pay for subscription service just to get the latest version of the game. There wasn't any subscription payment before when I played this.

You charge too much for this game to be unlocked. As a parent and a gamer with a kid gamer, to make this game better it needs to be a play to unlock items situation or drop the price. My kid was super bummed. Her words "why is it asking me to make her a blue cake if I can't even unlock the blue dye". Please consider fixing this issue with all your games. These games would be fun for your consumers and get better ratings.

I have loved this app for years but it no longer works. When you attempt to select a dessert to make it does nothing. Also after pressing recipes in the top left the card never goes away.

Why would you do this?... The old game was perfectly fine... Strawberry shortcake talks to much, and your other games have gotten annoying to. Your games haven't been the same.

I dont normally write a review but i am really disappointed in this app my daughter loves it so i brought her the star package so she can make everything it worked for about 3 weeks and then everything was locked again tried to get in touch with someone and no one cared tried what it said online and nothing very disappointed

Good app kids love it, but can't install on daughters device. Google play family sharing needs to be an option. I purchased using my play account but now can't install any of the apps on my daughters new tablet. Sent inquiries to support weeks ago with no response. I've purchased five budge apps that she now can't use. Kids apps are what the family library is for this feature needs to be turned on.

I LOVE THIS APP! but...I don't like how almost all the things are LOCKED.on the first cake you bake it does not allow you to take the correct order! When you want to use the blue berry food coloring to do the correct order, guess what?! ITS LOCKED! Please fix this :(

Very unimpressed that after paying for this app for my 4 year old, you then add an update with more features, only by monthly subscription. Very unethical and greedy in my opinion. These are children you are marketing too. A one off purchase is fine but monthly subscriptions run into 100s of dollars. At least give parents the opinion to remove the subscription only content.

AMAZING! The new updated version is even better than the original! Plus, there's NO ADS! WOO! My only problem is that there aren't enough orders per day. Could you add more orders plz? Apart from that I have no complaints. Thx for this game, Budge! :)
