Stress at Work

Interested to see how much energy your body consumes for mental tasks? (*)
With a simple click on the app screen, you can see your stress level at every moment of the day, wherever you are and whenever you ask for it.

Important: this app works with a Heart Rate watch from MIO (Mio Alpha 1 or 2). To be able to calculate your personal stress levels, you need to wear the sports watch MIO Alpha that measures your heart rate in a continuous way. If you do not have one, you can buy this watch online.

(*) The Stress@Work measures the energy used for mental activity. Note that the stress experienced by your body (= physiological stress) is not necessarily identical to the perceived stress. As every individual reacts to mental load in a different way, the stress levels will vary for each person.

Why do you need a watch that measures heart rate?

The Stress@work app calculates your individual stress levels based on different variables (a.o. heart rate) measured on the body.

How to use this Stress@Work app?1. Put on the Mio Alpha watch and start the heart rate measurement2. Download the app on your phone and open it3. Register (or log-in)4. Connect your watch with your smartphone5. Start measuring, keeping your phone on your body.

What is the difference between the free and the paid version?

The free version calculates and shows your instant physiological stress figure ‘on demand’ (by clicking in the screen).

The paid version unlocks all the other features within the app, which are:- Continuous and automated stress level calculation and visualization- Overview of your stress and mental recovery evolution during the day - Daily balance of mental energy consumption and recovery at the end of the day- Weekly balance after 7 days of measurements and a first feedback.

The paid version also allows you to indicate your stressors in the app upon receiving an alarm via your smartphone. This feature helps you to become aware of your main stressors, which is a first step towards managing and improving your personal stress levels.

On top of this, extra information is provided through a personal report which you can receive at the end of a full measurement period (min. 1 month).
