After updating to the new version, the app has been flawless. It's very user friendly and lots of cool features, not to mention motivational. If you ever do have an issue, their support is top notch. They work hard to find a solution and follow up to ensure each and every customer is satisfied. Rare these days to see a company that truly does care even about that one of end user. Thank you to Aubrey for your dedication and resistance. The determination of you and your team is 5 star!
Being an Android users while my family prefers Apple, I was always the odd man out ... especially for apps like Stridekick. No more. I downloaded and shared with my daughters and now lead them and their husbands in steps. Thanks Stridekick! I do wish others apps would allow this compatibility. Like others have said, I have to sync my Google phone first, then open Sidekick to get the latest data. The Apple phone only update on occasion. A constant background sync to keep fairly accurate data would be my only suggestion. Keep up the good work, and thanks for allowing me to interact with my girls!
Kicked out after last update and appears it no longer works with phone. At first when sync issue appeared, Samsung was a choice for device. Then Samsung was removed. This app was selected for an international challenge because a phone could be used. I liked it until this last update.
More of a request than anything else. The Samsung Health via platform app is super unreliable...can your team possibly consider replacing that with the Samsung Health app instead? The SH app via platform doesn't appear on my phone after downloading it, tried 3 times and still not successful.
Good data, ok interface, but probably the slowest app on the planet. It takes me over a minute to get a mid-day stat check on just steps. This is on a Pixel 6 with a Google Fiber connection through mesh WiFi (slowest speeds are about 300Mbps).
I have a Samsung smartwatch. I've connected the app to my watch through Samsung Health app on my phone. The steps count on my watch and the app are never close. The difference aren't minuscule. Some days my watch will have me at 15k steps and the app will show I only did 9k.
So far love this app. I got it to start a competition between my dad and my friend for step count and it allows us to view the other steps despite my friend having a fitbit and me and my dad using our Samsung watches. One thing I would like to see is widgets for my homescreen. Like my friends leader bored that way I can always be one step ahead!
Wish there was a pay level between free 10 participants and corporate level participation. Other than that, great app and easy to connect friends to play challenges.
It's a good app, but it doesn't sync correctly. There is a gap between the number of steps on my health app and what reflects on the stridekick app
Steps don't sync properly from Samsung health 1000s of steps short, even when syncing regularly through the day. ☹️
I like this app the only issue is my steps are not accurate because I am a Samsung user which is unfortunate. I have to use my fitbit which I don't like.
Everytime the app updates, you get logged out have to log in again. Very irritating, and very few apps do that, so how hard can it be to not have that happen. Otherwise, I like the app.
100% sucks. The worst ever application on Android. Absoulutly user unfriendly and stupid app. Especially when you're gonna cooperate with your friends on iPhone.
We are starting a challenge at work and I cannot participate because it keeps kicking me out, it did let me set up my account. After that it was done. Sad I can't participate
I love Stridekick! It's a fun way to be able to step with people who have different trackers. The support team is always helpful and responds quickly. I couldn't run my Facebook stepping challenge group without it :)
It doesn't show the correct amount of steps from my watch. There is Always a difference of approximately 2000
App doesn't count steps all the time. Most days don't work. It's on and off not dependable at all.
The app crashes when I try to sync it to Samsung Health. I can't use it at all.
Does not sync steps correctly. I was shorted over 3000 steps in this week's challenge.😔
When I initially installed this app it worked great. I loved it. I have a Samsung s9 and all of a sudden today it freezes. I've re installed the app but nothing works. It used to be able to sync with my google fit but it's frustrating coz I was in the middle of a challenge with work mates and now won't be able to finish the challenge. I have no idea what went wrong. Very disappointing and frustrating.
Good app, makes group challenges easy and fun. I do wish you could have more than 10 people in the free version, I can't justify requesting budget for the paid app for just 12 people. But overall the app is good and support is personable. One thing that would help make it a bit more user friendly is if I could send a "nudge" or email to people who have not synched recently, and to be able to see when they last updated without having to open their profile (ie: show it on the same view with their step counts).
Absolutely phenomenal customer service. Responsive, helpful, easy to contact, can't recommend it enough! Not only is the company all for customer service, but the app is simple to navigate, with tons of options for customization to what you want. Great way to stay connected w/ fellow active friends. You can turn on a feature that lets you meet up with other people in your area for runs, trail hikes, biking, so many things! A special thanks to Aubrey for helping me synch my off brand Fitbit! :)
I liked the concept. I was looking for exactly this kind of an app. There are a few bugs though. The app gets stuck for a few seconds when navigating. The share invite link functionality doesn't work: "memberCode=undefined". Other than that, this is a great app! Thanks to the developers. Update: the Support team reached out and we managed to resolve the link issue. Bumping to 5 stars!
I wanted to create a step challenge but had a hard time finding an app where different devices can participate. A came across this app and it works perfectly with Apple, Android, Google and Fitbit users. We did have issues with Samsung. Support is very helpful and responsive. If you need to increase your challenge to accomadate a bigger family, just ask! I wish it can track calories burned so the challenges can be a bit different and not limited to just walking/running.
I use a fitbit, my brother uses an apple watch, and I had to do some searching to find an app that would let us have a step competition. I like the different options for the contests, the customizable length of time, and the different drill-downs on the exercise data (most distance, most time, etc). Love it!
The app has a lot of nice features and it s easy to sync with several apps for both android and ios. I was surprised that the samsung health app is not included but easy to find a workaround. It s a great way to create challenges with a group and stay motivated! When my google fit messed up the data sync, the support team of the app (Evelyn) responded promptly and was able to restore it - that's great customer service!
Love being able to share and compare steps with a friends and family across all platforms/trackers, it's great! Wish there was native support for samsung health so that I could get the most mileage from my galaxy watch, but there is a way to work around that with google fit that I found. Only other thing I would like to see improved is the way the data is shown. I'd love to see more ways to view that information like maybe a graph of the week/month to show how everyone has been improving lately.
I'm synching with Samsung health and my steps are lower each day by about 10% on Stridekick than on my watch and Samsung Health app.
Great idea, but poor performance. The app is not syncing properly and it's constantly crashing.
The app does what you expect and lets you challenge and track steps with friends. Two issues would bring this to a 5 star. (1) Performance. App is slow to use and seems to wait for days to sync before letting you interact with the app. (2) No Background-Syncing. You must open the app to sync. We are competitive and want to keep track throughout the day, but don't always open the app. Pull in our steps automatically and tell us when we are losing so we can catch up! High hopes for this app.
