Strobily - strobe light

Turns your phone's camera flash into a strobe light. It's extremely bright, which is my favorite aspect of this strobe light. Another strobe app I used just alternated my phone's flashlight, which was not nearly as bright. This app also doesn't have obnoxious ads, and you can save your settings. My biggest wish: I wish there was more of an ability to alternate the time of camera flashes. I dont see it. I got this app to protect myself from some angry stray dogs at night. Hopefully I wont need it

More strobe than I asked for! An absolutely fantastic strobe app. I use it to view zoetropes made with 3D printing, so I need a precise frame rate and short duration. This app delivers total control in a great GUI. The strobe is via camera LED in my case, and 30Hz / 10% duty cycle is spot on. The app does way more than that though: tachometer, turntable calibration, music strobe synced to the beat. The ability to create preset widgets and smooth frequency control is great too.

If I lrave the strobe on for about 2 to 3 minutes, this app crashes my system. First the LED turns off and can't be turned on again, then, if I lock the device, the system app crashes. I guess this is more an issue with LineageOS than with the app, but please investigate this.

Best strobe app. Completely FREE!! Really free. No credit card no in app purchases no adds to be removed. This is the real deal free strobe. Very rare for an app to be truly honestly free. No catches no buts no bull. I take pride in my reviews for being true and accurate. Try this strobe app you won't be disappointed. It has way more settings then you will ever need. This isn't some bare bones free strobe app. This baby is loaded with options and settings. ENJOY!!!

Does what it says on the tin (if your phone supports it, which IS NOT THE DEVS FAULT! Complain to your phones maker if it doesn't play nice.) My main device, Moto E4, is unstable >2000rpm, but I haven't tried tuning it yet. I fiddled advanced settings on a LG Stylo 2 and was able to ballpark a fan to 4560~4600rpm. Will confirm when I build a 4 wire fan controller. LG G6 works fine. My only complaint is the top bar doesn't scroll. Only selecting the far options force left/right scroll. Plz fix.

Phenomenal, 5 Stars definitely isn't usually in my vocabulary but I ought to say very well done and much appreciated for building this app! Very advanced capabilities, simple enough even for a cave man and not a single advertisment anywhere! It's never even prompted me asking me to rate the app. I'd give money to the cause if I wasn't living under this bridge right now. Thank you

This app works well however requires some time to get oriented with the controls. I like the music part of the app, it seems to pick up bpm of hearbeats as well.

It just so happens that I stumbled upon some research some scientists have been doing concerning 40 Hertz of flashing lights in lab rats eyes to fight Alzheimer's, this was done to a group of rats for an hour a day, after a while the rats we're decapitated and thier brains were examined and it was discovered that the protein that causes Alzheimer's had been significantly decreased. Maybe people could experiment with this to see if it could help them. But people with epilepsy should steer clear as fast flashing lights can trigger seizures.developers, this is a very nice app, but it would be nice if you could fix it, so the screen could be pure color without having writing over it. Anyone interested in that research can Google 40 Hertz rats Alzheimer's and learn about it from the search results.

Thank you for your work, attention to detail in designing this app. It's clear you had users' best interests in mind with all of the extra features, settings. Works perfectly on my very old phone. Please consider an off timer in future version.

Been wondering for a while if my turntable was slow or fast I have a record weight with the strobe pattern built in and tried to find a strobe to try it, i found a few on google but this one sounded the best after a little trial and error got it working, set the turntable going waited for the speed to stabilise and bingo worked brilliantly proving my turntable is spot on cheers

I am having a wonderful experience with this app! Out of the 10+ strobe apps that I checked out, this app stood out. It give you all possible functionality to program to the minutest possible details. The app may seem intimidating at first but if you give it time. You will figure things out. I had a few questions regarding which I reached out to the developer. His response time was within an hour. He addressed all my queries. Cheers mate! I surely recommend this app.

I used the strobe at 14hz and pointed it at my closed eyes about a foot away from me. I wondered if this would induce the same visual effects as the dreamachine, and sure enough it did! I waited a while, feeling stupid. That is, until I started seeing shapes. Rainbow stripes morphed into rainbow chevrons, and those morphed into detailed spinning circles! Such a cool app. Although i'd suggest using some kind of brightness filter over your flash as it gets quite stressful on even closed eyes.

(I'm annoyed so hear me out) Theoretically, If you had overlay permission and wrote a simple basic beat for beat pattern, (framerate?) and made sure that certain frequencies were guarded or overridden by the pattern of the app,... couldn't this be used to make certain games etc would possibly help with my seizures? or at least my headaches? I usually learn the hard way the first time but would still like to play the games. someone will code this eventually. we need it.

Wanted to like it. Looks like it has a lot of features and a lot of work went into it. Does not seem to work at all on Android 11 Galaxy s20 though doesn't surprise me since it hasn't been updated for a long time. Sounds like it's still works great if you have an older phone

Works as expected. I have been using it for more than 5 years and it is good. It was even better on my older phone but with current phone had to do some tweaks and it works but led flashes are very dim (but that's not a problem of this app).

I only wanted for testing the speed accuracy of my turntable and for that it worked flawlessly. Props to to the dev. for having that as the very first option! Used on a Samsung Galaxy s10e. I might look into trying out some of the other functions for fun.

After trying out multiple strobe apps, this was just what I was looking for. Very comprehensive feature set, with the ability to program a specific pattern and lots of other cool stuff I have yet to try!

Awesome little tool. Very entertaining as well . I built an acoustic tube resonator for my Galaxy, with a large magnifying glass built in to it. It makes a great little disco strobe projector lamp in music mode. Thank you for your splendid creation. Sincerely, Cliff K

The best app I can found. It definitely do it's work perfectly. More than that, you have a lot of different adjustments and different instruments to measure an rpm or hz in one app. Thanks a lot for your work.

Incredible job! I was definitely not expecting for it to be able to use audio to hear the RPMs, it reminds me of old school tachs. Not a single ad and amazing in every aspect! Thank you!

Works (mostly) great on my Honor 7. Occasional blip, and the strobe is not super stable at 60hz, but it works, it's free, and it doesn't inundate you with ads.

STROBILY. Is the best app for any frequency tests. It's the absolute best. I want the programmer to know this App is the best already but I shoot frequency at things all the time would it be possible to shoot radio frequency too. Maybe a Bluetooth and internet card utilization. Mabey a special version with a password for those features so people can't you know... can we get some more functions your message in the app was a good idea I hope you get this. Maybe internet listening and mimicking

Excellent strobe source for fine tuning record decks. Learning curve no more difficult than other apps. Probably helps if you are not a technology illiterate and actually know what frequency and related terms mean. Running on Samsung Galaxy J5 with android vetsion 9 installed.

Fantastic, it does exactly what I wanted! I spent ages looking for a strobe app that had adjustable on duration, and this one does it and plenty more.

Just 10 mins to know the controls.....and you can adjust the strobe light to your music......... This app is by far the best among all other stobelight apps.

good app. but it doesnt reallt with my nokia 8. led blinks too slow. screen blinking works ok, but it doesnt appear to have correct frequency.

some years ago this used to be an almost decent app. now, even more than then, it's way too technical, not user friendly, complicated AND THE STROBE JUST TURNS OFF BY ITSELF AFTER A WHILE. While you bike and need to signal the cars that you are there, so they don't run you over. An unreliable app, so much so that it put my life in danger.

Could not set .5 Hz (goes 100% on) but still awesome. Some people don't understand the trade-off between accuracy and CPU hogging.
