stroboscope tachometer

This app makes the LED-Flashlight of your smartphone-cam blink with a certain frequency. You can enter the frequency by typing the value in Hertz (blinks per second) or by blinks per minute and you can also tune it with a slider and finetune it with buttons. Further you have the possibility to double the frequency by clicking on the button "2x" to make sure you have the right frequency. Please note, that the maximum frequency is being reduced by other apps, that are running in the background. Other apps, that are running in the background could even cause an irregular frequency. The application can be used in 16 different languages. To choose a language, click on menu button and scroll down or up to choose your favorite language. To end the app, click on quit or on the back button, but never use the home button while blinking or else the flash light will keep on blinking as long as the app is running in the background. Please be advised, that this app could cause epileptic seizures. If you feel uncomfortable with it, turn it off. I hope the app fullfills your expactations.
* permission.WRITE_INTERNAL_STORAGE is used for some Samsung-devices, because their LED is managed by writing data on the internal storage.

This crashes on Htc m9 regardless of led setting or middle box setting. It crashes as soon as you tell it to start.

Loved this app on my HTC One, however, can't use it on my S7. If the app can be updated for this phone, i will gladly change this rating. Thanks!

Of 3 similar apps I tried, this is the only one that was usable to find the rpm of a 9 blade cooling fan (1200). Other apps flashed incorrectly. Works best if you stay back from object 2-3 ft. Takes some getting use to because it will sync at 1/2 as well as true rpm. Put white tape on one blade. Find rpm where tape motion freezes. Hit 2x button. If 2 tape spots appear, you were at true rpm, if still single spot, you were at 1/2 of true rpm.

Great idea. Good gui. Light never came on with nexus 5. No options to mess with, so uninstalled within 2 min of install.

The idea is nice but it just doesn't work(HTC sensation xe) when trying to create an accurate time interval on an OS. Max is at about 12Hz an even then it's not accurate. Waste of money
