You can select from a variety of strumming patterns with different styles and for various styles of music. You can also edit the patterns although you cannot save any changes in the this free version.

Just for testing
A very well thought out app. I always find it difficult to break down a pattern. This makes it so easy. I especially like that you can change the tempo and choose what sounds you want to hear. Id recommend this for both beginners and advanced players.
Unless you purchase the entire app you're limited to about 10 seconds of a rhythm before it stops. Then you're forced to stop playing in order to start the rhythm once again. This free version of what appears to be garbage app is even worse than garbage. Although there's really not even enough here to tell whether or not it's helpful.
This app really helped me out with strumming. First, it helped me learn the patterns (and I could make my own to practice with), then it helped me get more used to strumming in general, and it also got me into the rhythms. I would definitely recommend this for beginners.
