I am simply amazed by the fact that my phone saved me a trip to the hardware store & $20. Didn't even know a senser like that existed in my phone. Not gonna lie, I was chuckling to myself when this app came up in the search results, thinking it would be junk. However I am amazed by how well this works. I was a bit skeptical at first. But after 15 minutes of me hovering my phone next to the wall, I was able to find 2 studs that I needed to drill into. Fantastic execution! Props to the dev(s)!
worked on 1st try. must have a phone that supports wireless charging because it uses magnesium. find put where the magnet is pn your phone by moving a nail on the back side of your phone while holding activate button. mine is by my camera. (take off phone case) i have a galaxy s9. also if your house is super old with wood studs...then dont bother using this wood isnt magnetic hahah ...but this app works great for metal studs in walls
Ok I'm giving this a 5, not because it's perfect, it's far from it, but I never expected it to work and it did and got me out of a tight situation when my stud finder batteries died. I wouldnt use it for precise work but it's definitely good enough to put in a dry wall back box
Works great if your phone has the right capabilities and you understand how to use it. Negative reviews are from idiots who don't read instructions or whose phone's don't have magnetic detectors.
This worked great for us. Couldn't find the stud finder we bought so we decided to try this out. Was very accurate. Had to take it put of my case to work properly. Only complaint was the ads on the bottom I kept hitting that while trying to find a stud.
Does not detect common metal nails used for drywalls. :( I think maybe galvanized. Other metals detected. Unless the LG phone EMF ability is poor. NOTE: Other nail and stud detection apps tested also had same issue. Some failed completely to detect to barely even a noticable detection of those nails.
The developer should change the icon because pan head screws are generally not used in walls unless you are hanging a clock and the threads on it are backwards lol. Put a drywall screw on the icon. Great little metal detector app!
Works fine on my phone. Probably won't work on all phones because of the different sensors and components used in certain devices
Needed to install a flat panel TV mount. Tried it for first time. Marked walls. Tried it again 3 times and it started blinking at same exact spots. Definitely recommend.
This app is AMAZING! I needed a stud finder in a huge hurry for a large screen TV wall mount where there where metal studs inside of the wall. THIS APP FOUND THE STUDS!!! We was able to securely mount directly to the metal studs without punching a bunch of holes. Got them all right there first time!!!!! 😁
Galaxy S8 here, used above fireplace on a diagonal wall. Not perfect but did the job! Used it to supplement knocking on the wall and managed to get some pretty reliable measurements.
This works great actually. Detects the nails in the walls to locate the studs. This deserves a way better rating than shown. Device=s8
This Barseen App isn't worth the time or effort. By the time you get to the damn Bar. It's not the same scene. The spot when viewed online looked good. By the time we get there. 5 people maybe. The video feed isn't Accuate. And when asked about it. The Bartender shook his head and said none of his friends are on it. Save your time. Don't bother.
Actually works! Compared it with an actual stud finder and it was right on. Finds metal not wood, but will find the nails/screws to locate where the wood is at. So handy!
For a free app it works way better than expected. It's not the most accurate and not a replacement for the real deal, but works great in a pinch
In order to use the app I had to agree to their agreement. I clicked on it and the first thing that popped up was an untrusted site. Immediately uninstalled the app.
Stud detector is use to find studs very easily... it is very trustworthy application.. i love its quality and service.. i recommend all to use this application... i am very much impressed by its quality and service.
Followed the review of another user that the magnet is behind the fingerprint sensor and was able to find the studs my brother said weren't there. Thank you!
It works im a real person and i had to hang a picture frame not big deal but its big so i wanted to make sure and it went off consistantly in one spit 3 dots so it takes a second but it works
Works really well with my oneplus 5t, just make sure you know where to place the phone. For my phone it detects studs at the top left corner.
Downloaded this because my dad was having trouble with the handheld stud finder. Said to bookmark it and give it a good review because it worked like a charm!
Does not do what the app name says. If it's supposed to detect nails in studs, should be named differently. But trying it out, didn't detect nails either.
As someone thatbhas worked and owned Apts. This app would have saved me,time and money had this been around rather than the 5 stud finders that were in other tool boxes.....lol
Not bad! works for the galaxy s8+, its actually a metal detector rather than a stud finder, but you can use it to find nails in the wall to help you locate a stud. This app should work as long as it has a magnet like the ones used for wireless charging.
