Several issues: app logs you out every time if you need to move to another app briefly to get info, only lets you upload images, not pdfs, crashes frequently. Tells me when I created an account that email or ID was already in use but was processed fine. Interface is glitchy, with buttons sometimes covering boxes and the keyboard covering fields you need to access without being able to scroll.

this is a terrible app. constantly crashes when I try to take pictures of receipts, both photos that I've taken outside the app and ones I try to take from within the app. the fact that every time I log in there's a message saying "now you can make your claims faster then ever!" is an absolute mockery. it makes what should be a five minute no hassle experience into an hour long festival of annoyance. mailing is definitely faster.

The "I agree to terms and conditions" check box on the submit claim page is rendered behind the cancel button, which makes it impossible to click, and thus impossible to submit a claim. Further, if you ever leave the app for whatever reason, even if "remember me" had been checked on the login screen, you will be logged out. This is hostile design, and makes the app inaccessible. This app is garbage and the people who are in charge of it should be ashamed of themselves.

Its a very minimal app that doesn't even show all the information shown on your provider's web page. Things like claim status or processing flags, or if a claim needs more information there is no way to modify it. Login screen password keyboard covers the page, instead of dynamically scrolling the page. The login page also doesn't interact with password managers. The only redeeming value is the ability to submit documents using your phone camera "easily".

There's no point in downloading this app. It's "remembered users" option doesn't work, even when selected so you still have to log in manually every time. It provides you with zero information about the status of a submitted claim, other than it was submitted. My claim was allegedly accepted & my money deposited and that information wasn't available on the app. Another claim was rejected and the app simply listed it as "submitted". No chat feature, the number listed doesn't even dial in-app.

Very useless app. I downloaded it to file a claim and it doesn't work. It seems to have a bug or lots of bugs that bring you back to the log in page. Even those I selected that I would like to stay logged in, it logs me put everytime. Very little information available and it tells you to go the website. Then what is the use of the app???

Can't even get the app to load. Will update once it actually boots. UPDATE 1: able to sign up, but can not complete my claim profile. It would automatically log you off and not save any of your work. Call centre can not be reached either.

I first read the reviews and put off getting the app. Then I tried it myself and they must have updated it because it was actually very easy for me. Only issue is it does log you out if you try to go back to the previous screen. I was able to take photos within the app of prescriptions and submitted 4 of them in less than 15 minutes. Overall was pleasantly surprised

App works, but really isn't fluid and user friendly. Simple things like switching between apps logs you out and typing in info can be blocked by keyboard because it doesn't allow the page to scroll up to accommodate the keyboard. Logos are also low quality and animations almost not existent.

Logs me out as soon as I try to do anything it's intended for, like finalizing a profile. Does not remember my account info. Keep me logged in button does nothing as I keep getting logged out. Would have saved time if this just didn't exist.

This is the worst app I've ever had the burden of using. If you think about it, it is actually impressive that they made an app this genuinely horrible. As a computer science student, I can confidently tell you that a group of 4 first year comp-sci students could make a better app than this pile of hot garbage, in a weekend. It's buggy, does not open half the time, does not stay logged in _at all_ even if you just press the home button, then reopen it, you will need to log in again. Garbage.

Cannot imagine a reputed college in Canada having such low quality app to handle healthcare services. Disappointed! It is literally impossible to set up the claim profile, as you will be logged out eventually from the app. The worst case is, it is also impossible to contact them over the phone, even after hanging around 30 minutes.

I was hesitant after seeing the poor app rating but I didn't have much of a choice because I waited till eleventh hour to submit my claim. I can report that the app does work, submitted my insurance claim and got my money deposited to my bank account. Sure there's room for improvement but really not bad. It's a tad annoying that it logs you off if you switch to a different app.

It would be kinder not to offer reimbursement than to do it through this app. First, the app is required to submit claims, even though this should be doable online. Second, I submitted several receipts a year ago and never heard back, even after emailing. My claim still says "submitted" a year later, with no updates to indicate that it was rejected, accepted or even received. I budgeted with my healthcare plan in mind. Instead Studentcare has cluttered my phone and wasted my time for a year.

Horrible app, horrible plan. However, amazing app for the insurance company as it frustrates students into giving up and allows the provider to keep more money! I'm 37 yrs old with a wife and 3 kids. I have been providing for their needs long before I was FORCED to pay for a service I do not consent to!

The app does nothing but display timeout errors and loading screens. Worthless. All I want to do is submit an estimate online because the only other option is to send a physical letter.

Would be great if you could see more details of submitted claims and if it would work all the time / they'd tell us when it doesn't work due to maintenance or whatever. Some days in a row it will keep failing to make claims, e.g. because the app claims my internet connection is not working. It is still better than printing forms, filling them out and sending them by mail.

I would also give it a zero if I could. It won't open only says connection error, but every other app on my phone connects. I was told by customer service that the app requires a super strong connection, picky little app.

Couldn't sign up. The birthday selection is by today's date with a monthly calendar selection only, meaning you have to hit the "back" button for each month you've been alive to find your correct birthday. For someone who is just exactly 18, that means hitting the back button 216 times. And I'm not just 18. Yikes.

If you like apps that say "Error: Unhandled Exception" this is for you. The app won't let me upload the image of my receipt, so I can't file a claim. They say it's my Wi-Fi but I'm able to use the internet just fine. I love being gaslighted by my health insurance.

One of the most frustrating apps ever used. If I had the option I would give it a zero. App says it is version 1 from 2016. It is in need of an overhaul. Miserable experience!

terrible app. Does not tell you about coverage AT ALL. does not remember users. Does not tell you updates about your claims. A USELESS app. Although you will find that most of the things offered from student care are useless including their support staff. I tried to explain to someone how their app was broken and the only thing the staff member said was that the app was "working as designed" and that student care no longer updates it.

50/50 results. Mine works but my brother's doesn't. My brother's account is stuck at claim preferences. Mine went smoothly and I never had an issue. The app seems incredibly buggy and seems to just hate some people lol. Your acc will either work, or it won't. Fix this app.

slow to load, not very user friendly. crashes if you try to take a picture with it. take a picture outside of thr app to avoid it crashing.

A bad app got even worse in the past year. Aside from the many issues everybody else has mentioned, they removed the "add documents" feature. So you can't upload referrals anymore; you have to do it with a first claim and then pray that whoever gets your claim files your referral appropriately as well. Nothing but headaches getting reimbursed ever since they "updated" the app. Claim history function is a joke. Total trash. Also if you switch apps, it will sign you out immediately.

Horrible app, awful user experience and accessbility. When I try to submit a claim, on the last step when I need to press submit, i need to agree with the term and condition, the check box for this is under cancel!! Good job 👏 👍 👌 🙌
