The content is generally ok, but it's incredibly annoying to have so many (Google?) adverts plugged throughout each article. What's more, no matter how many times I select "stop seeing this ad" you keep showing them again! Sometimes multiple times in the same article even...

So many grammar and spelling mistakes, wrong images used for the caption text, misleading headlines and generally bad reporting. I keep it in my entertainment section when I feel like a laugh. To add to all that it keeps crashing when inattempt to enter in to a story. Truly useless

Long time bugs not resolved. When viewing a story and when returning to the home screen with either app back button or mobile return button it takes you to the top of the page which then you have to scroll down again to the next story. Samsung fold 3

Very irritating when after reading an article and when you go back you go right to the top of the page. Too many ads, quizzes and puzzles. PS - Change my rating now that you have fixed the bugs.

Since the update I keep receiving notifications even though I have them turned off!! Very annoying 😡😡😠 doesn't automatically update- have to end the session and Start again. Stuff is so yesterday. All on board with Maori stores but only when it's Maori language week. Disgusting. Wish I'd left sooner.

Videos often fail to load. If you read an article and return to the feed it often sends you back to the start of the list. There are not enough filtering options to set your preferences.

As many other reviewers have pointed out - there is a major coding error with this latest version (I hesitate to call it an update - it's more of a downgrade) in that links open to the end of an article instead of the start. Since this is a simple Quality Control issue, one has to wonder about the quality of everything else Stuff presents . .. Come on Stuff - sort yourself out.

I really enjoy the articles here. And think there is a good mix of world current affairs and new zealand news. I think it is great how there are so many local stories and a good mix of feel good stuff. Also I like the the way the ads are incorporated. To my mind they arent that intrusive. Never forced to watch them.

Best feature of this app is the keyboard won't pop up in the comments section - you've saved me from having to argue with strangers about topics neither of us know anything about. Since not being able to force my uneducated opinions on everyone, I've been more productive in life. Just last week I read a whole book to my daughter without having to pause three times to reply to HaveMySay111 about property prices. Maybe my bathroom visits will be shorter (after I've finished reviewing a few apps).

Stuff used to be my preferred source of news. Not anymore. They have turned into a partisan propoganda outlet. Amplifying opinion pieces full of lies and begging for money from readers. So much for impartial journalism. Doesn't exist with this outlet. What happened to NZ media. They used to be reliable. Now they're all hit job articles and gotcha pieces. Absolute joke.

Recently I've been unable to post comments because the required fields in the comment box are all greyed out including the "Reply" option and "Submit" option.. Contacted the help desk and got zero answers besides signing up for an account and then that would enable me to post comments.. I've had an account for over 10 years I know how to post comments!! Emailed them that reply and they sent back the same useless advice once more about signing up for an account!! Useless.

This app is absolute trash and has been for a long time. Its full of bugs, video player never seems to work and as others point out it scrolls back to the top if you read a story and then try to return to your scroll point. I really can't understand why this app has been so bad for so long

I think the 23 March version (3.40.7) has broken keyboard support. Device keyboard doesn't launch when it ought to (and used to) when it's needed for filling in crossword puzzles etc.

As of today, when scrolling through a news item, the ap locks up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache, to no avail. Frustrating. I've used it for years with very few problems. Everything else on the phone is working well.

Slow to load. Appears faster after deleting app cache, data and reinstalling. Likely another software bug.

Since the last sale of Stuff, the reporting has gone so biased, so woke, and so left it is almost as bad as Australian ABC. I Suggest an alternative news source for an unbiased news.

There is a lot happening all over the world, but looking at Stuff you would think its all about sport and entertainment. Most days I have to scroll through that to get to any news. Also it's frustrating to finally find news you want to read. Once read the news posts go back to the begining, then I have scroll past the sport and entertainment all over again. No longer a satisfactory source for world news.

I can't even open the app. After the Suff logo and the loading sign dissappear, it's just a white screen.

Constant news headline updates for things I have zero interest in. Please establish a filter so that readers can enter in keywords for headline updates they do not want to receive. For me, I have zero interest in Golf, and this week zero interest in the Tongan eruption but my phone is getting bombarded with constant updates about it. Sort out a filter please.

When you select a story, then go back, the main page has scrolled back to the top, super annoying. And now, when you pull to refresh, it doesn't refresh the stories. At the end of they day, the stories are all still from the morning. If I close the app and reopen, then I get the latest stories. Samsung S20 FE. What's going on guys??

An old problem has reappeared... The article list scrolls to the top of the list when navigating back from an article. It would be great if some basic testing could be done before releasing updates to this app!

The view used to be easy to scroll through now its littered with irrelevant headings, and ads. I don't need you to tell me it's an article about cars. I can read. Plus the compact view isn't working.

Always have trouble when opening the app. Just shows a white screen until the first ad finally shows. Sometimes I have to go In and Out of the app multiple times for anything to happen

I've been having a lot of issues with the app even loading lately. It takes ages to open the first advert and just sits on a blank white screen till I force close the app and reopen it 20 times till it actually loads ...

Still jumps to first item in the list after going back. This is happening in the latest version. Bug has not been fixed. Very frustrating!

The latest update seems to not want to refresh any articles unless I close and reopen, so I can see an ad that takes 20seconds to load. Super frustrating!

When stuff loads it sometimes shows full screen advertising. If you are on a network which blocks ad servers the stuff app never starts, the screen stays white or sometimes you see a little spinning circle. To fix this the app should do a DNS lookup for the ad server and if there's no response / response like 127.0.0.1 it should give up on the ad, and it should time out either way. Or I guess not load if it can't load the advertising. Plus it's going back to the top of the story list when again

App keeps crashing. Has been doing this for months barely open for 5 minutes before it crashes. Cleared cache and uninstaller same thing. Won't be reininstalling and will stick to Web site
