STV News

I find this app very useful for my news. It's well layed out, packed with information that's clear and consice. And overall a modern upto date ever adapting news app.

Although I have been using this app for many years it unfortunately developed a problem back in February where my keyboard pops up on the screen of my Galaxy S9 whenever I try to change news pages and I have to come completely out and go back in to read another page. I did notify you of this back in February and have uninstalled and reinstalled this app on several occasions to try and clear the problem but unfortunately to no avail; the problem is still there. Any suggestions please??????

Very very poor app. Sadly after not working for the past 10 days or so, I installed the latest all singing and dancing new version. I have been patient however it is garbage. Open it and when I try to go back or exit it, it point blank refuses to play and has to be shut down in other ways. Would give it 0⃣ but that's not an option... Unfortunately

EDIT I've increased my time rating from 1 star to 4. Since I first rated this app they've made it possible and easier to access my local and surrounding areas, which is what I need from a news app. Not easy to find local news, plenty of football, which I don't have any interest in at all. I would prefer to be able to find news relating to my local area.

Nope not great app when opened you cant come out of it with back button you have to go to you opened apps and close or comd out of it from there. Font changes size depending on how important they think story is. Got to put in region everytime doesnt save your choice. Not the best app old version was much better. Needs bit of work to it.

Crashes as soon as it's opened. Really poor. Need to update my review of this and its not any better. Clicking in Glasgow & West takes me to sport every single time. Can barely navigate the app without some sort of issue. Very disappointing given that's a year the new update has been around.

RUBBISH. always crashing. Font size changes randomly throughout story. When you go to share a story it copys and pastes a different one. Avoid. *update* After stv's latest update it's STILL freezing and crashing after you look at one article. HOW HARD IS IT TO MAKE A BASIC APP???? you might as well not bother. Pathetic.

App keeps crashing, tried reinstalling it but still not working properly. It has been ok for months, this is a recent problem. Had a response to my comment, an update will be released next week. Good to know, thanks.

Is it 'next week' yet? The so called updated app still crashes and closes, doesn't play anything, just freezes and closes. Had this app for years and it worked well, but now it's just irritating to try and get any news or weather. What numpty decided to start fiddling about with it?!

This app has been running perfectly until very recently, now the app opens and then crashes immediately, Android 9 on Xperia XZ Premium, so the app is hardly taxing the hardware. Unistalled and then reinstalled keeps crashing someone please address what has changed and get the back up to it's usual 5 star rating 😥

Can this app be sorted, after you go inside a story, you can't leave and the keyboard screen pops up. when the user presses the back button, you are then forced to close the app then go back in. Completely frustrating and the developer should be dropped.

Past few days app will not load, keeps crashing and I have reported this, no response and no1 interested in fixing it, was good for local news although updating stories could be a few days behind, tried uninstalling and reinstalling so wouldn't waste your time, delete and be done

Good app keeps u upto date on all goings on but since Monday last week won't open. Loads up to stv bit then crashes Since update has been fine not crashing. Little more difficult to navigate and start but once familiar with it it's easy enough

It is useless sometimes. It keeps coming up that STV news app has stopped and cuts off. Its been doing this for the past few days. It comes up with the news stories then come up that it has stopped.

I've read a lot of people are having issues with this news app. Personally I think it's brilliant, not one problem with it. Great news stories and it covers a multitude of topics. So well done from me. ☺️👍👍

Was a good app, however for the last month the app always crashes right after it opens up, happens across several devices. Have tried reinstall, clearing data. Nothing works.

Used to be good. Now it crashes more than one half of Ant and Dec on a night out so it cannot be used. Uninstalling and reinstalling makes no difference on a Samsung Note 10 plus.

Since it has changed it is slow and cumbersome to move between items. What was a decent App is now rubbish. If I was not out of Scotland and wanting to keep in touch with the old county's news I would delete the App, still might!

The font size no longer changes when you change system settings on phone. It's tiny now with no option to change size. Come on STV one size of font on app does not work for everyone. The people updating this app just don't care about Accessibility. Very poor 👎🏻

Used to have the STV news app but deleted it towards the end of 2019 as it was really poor. Re-installed it today and... wow! Looks great and seems to have had a huge makeover. Fingers crossed and well done to the developers 👋👋

App used to be great until latest update. Can't use the back function at all and have to force the app to close completely. Very frustrating and disappointing as app was good. Please sort this asap STV.

Crashing each time I try to open, ever since most recent Android update. Update 18th December- new app installed and operating well. Easy to navigate and good flow of articles. Thanks

I was very happy with the App until a few days ago when it just won't open. It occasionally opens for a few seconds then stops making it impossible to read the news.
