In theory, this app sounds fantastic. I was so excited to find a platform to book a professional on with little to no hassle. However, after booking, my professional never got in touch with me. Despite messaging styleseat and the stylist I never received the information for the appointment (address phone # etc), but was charged for it. Along with a tip. Now styleseat is telling me I need to contact the absent stylist for a refund. I highly suggest using a different method to book appointments.

The interface looks nice but can be very slow, glitchy and hard to use. I don't like that one of stylists I go to, EVERY time slot is a "high-demand" slot. It's not something the professional sets, it's something that SS does to collect additional commissions. It's hard to turn off the auto pay feature. Which is helpful if a stylist doesn't show. Couldn't even find customer service to help when that happened.

Glitches syncing the clients with their newly set up accounts after I have pre-scheduled the client. Charges your client a fee after every personal appt...even though your stylist is paying them a monthly service fee. I would rather pay $10 more, so that my clients do not get any fees for booking appts on their own. I bought this service to take stress off of scheduling. There seems to be more stress loosing clients due to extra fees and costs. Please add option to remove required credit cards.

using the site is ok. I don't like how difficult it is to locate the address of the stylist and the fact that you have to pay a fee to book the appt that doesn't go towards your service. That fee even though it's not expensive should not be on the customers to pay. The customer did chose to use the app and has no other choice. it's a convenience for the stylist that the customer is paying for.

Got scammed by someone on that app. I thought everyone was verified. This person prepaid for full amount and it was suppose to be just the booking fee of 5 dollars. They took 2 payments totaling 340 I can't cancel or anything. I tried contacting the so called stylist, they haven't answered since. I also emailed styleseat and no one is trying to help resolve or find out who this person is. You guys are verifying people who use text now apps not actual phone providers.

NIGHTMARE ON STYLESEAT' The app is great until you add your payment... ITS A NIGHTMARE ONCE YOU ADD YOUR CREDIT CARD. I paid the booking fee online. I paid my stylist 'in person' but the app tried to charge me again with an additional tip! I have tried to remove my card to avoid being charged again. Its a 'NIGHTMARE ON $TYLE$EAT'

I've had 3 experiences on this app- none good. The first braider has a quality issue ( braids fell out same day), second braider had a punctuality issue and charged me even though she failed to show up one day and I forgave her, the third had a communication issue . Please search local. Get the service before you pay. Lesson learned. Moving on. App will be deleted. Edit: Before I rated the app I sent a Help Desk Ticket which referred me back to the stylist. I never requested a refund.

Stylist that use Styleseat to organize their appointments are smart and about their business! It's quick and easy to book dates and times and you can even upload a credit card to pay for any "booking" fees. I prefer stylist that use Styleseat! Professional and Ready to Go!!

DO NOT USE THIS APP! I'm pissed as hell. I was charged without my authorization at 3 in the morning which included a tip. I did not setup a prepayment! I was going to pay in cash and tip depending on the service but I was charged almost 12 hours before my appointment.

I'm going to stop using the app if it keeps messing up. It asks me to put in my email and when I do, it keeps saying enter your email when it's the same email I've had for years. I can't even log into the app so I've had to do it as a guest

Kimberlee did a terrific job coloring & trimmimg my hair today, just like always! I often get compliments from total strangers about my hair color. The way she does the blond streaks with a darker base provides depth to my fine hair & makes it look thicker while still looking very natural. I've been a client of Kimberlee's for years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

They've taken my booking fee, but aren't really updating me on my appointment. Trying to see my payment information and stylist information only brings me to error pages. This application and the website are not full proof and you shouldn't use them until they get all of their codes fixed.

Easy to use and very helpful. I just hate that it doesn't hold your place in the list. once you select a stylist to check out from the list. You have to start over, from the top.

Awful App! Extremely Slow!! You literally have to wait at LEAST 60 seconds before you can get to the next screen!! I'm VERY surprised that stylists still use this app.

The seems to have many glitches in it and did not allow me to add my promo code instead just charged me for the service. The app is very glitchy in alot of areas when using it.

love the convenience of this app as a custom9er and as a professional. it definitely makes life easier. at this point I don't know where I'd be without it. probably on the phone or on a piece of paper writing down appts wasting time when I could've been making money. love styleseat

What a horrible experience with this application! App says to book appointments with confidence due to their refund policy. However, I canceled appt because merchant changed her price AFTER I put down a $95 deposit. When services were not rendered by SHA0MONNI LITTLE (Monni Galor), app makes ME contact scammer merchant for my refund for a service never rendered. I have proof that merchant refused to give me my money back. Also, I changed tip amount to 0% but STYLESEAT automatically gave 20% tip!

I'm having trouble reaching out to people who have contacted me! There number doesnt show up when I click on the icon like it use to. It makes me look bad as a braider when I dont reach out on time and its been 3 days and still nothing! I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now its glitching!!!

It needs improvement and there should be a better way of screening the stylist, the stylist of La'Rose will take the appointments in Baton Rouge on a Saturday, cancel at the last minute because she is at her main shop outside of Louisiana. We should have a way to review the stylist, because the stylist at TheHairDoctor in Baton Rouge used a blade instead of shears to cut a style which left my hair with a no layers chop on next shampoo. The cut was not defined, it was like Shaggy the cartoon.

This app charges the $35/ month fee but manages to take $1 for every appt made in Styleseat by the client! They imply requiring a credit be out on file - and make it appear that it is the salon owners request. I use a different company for payment and styleseat keeps trying to make my user their payment system by constantly asking. Consider an app that doesn't try and make money off your clients.

This app is great if you like being charged for stylists that decide not to show up to the appointment. Customer service is useless and claims they can't cancel appointments and it's the stylist that has to do so.... This app is a scam..

it's a great way to find a stylist, much easier then Googling. It does have a kink with the app with going back to the previous page but very easy to book an appointment.

I've been searching a LONG time for someone who actually cares about their client's hair (& knows how to actually do hair). StyleSeat connected me. Ms. Z was thorough, took her time, answered my questions, and even offered hair care tips. Her space is cozy and comfortable. My favorite part is how knowledgeable, friendly, & professional Ms. Z is. I can tell she enjoys making her clients happy & doesn’t put on a facade. I will be returning! Thank you so much Zhaniece your service was amazing.

So I start using this app to build cliental. Which has been going very slow but not only that on top of all the fees they pick and choose when to give discounts on your services without your notice. I am the type of professional who checks there book pages to see what the client sees and little behold they offered me a 15% discount on my services without my knowledge. I don't appreciate it so I will be looking for a new booking app.

I like that the app helps you find stylist based on what you are looking for and pricing. But the scheduling and payment process is a nightmare!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! I had an automatic 20% tip taken, even though I tried to adjust it prior to it coming out of my account. Save your money by just contacting the stylist and setting up an appointment on your own.

StyleSeat has been easy to use so far. The search results aren't always the most accurate though. I think professionals should be required to upload a picture of their certifications for the safety of their clients. I had a "stylist" mess up my eyelash extensions and rip my eyelashes out because she wasn't actually certified. There's also no way to get a refund without contacting the stylist. It'd be better for StyleSeat to act as the middle ground to protect both the stylists and clients.

Although a great scheduling app that holds customers accountable for the appointments that they make, the app kind of plays a "shell game" with your money. You'll need a credit or debit card to reserve an appointment, upon which it will automatically show you misleading prompts to prepay, with the gratuitous added in. I've been using the app for about six months, and I was mislead you prepay when I usually pay cash. It's better for the barber.

Review keeps getting deleted! Stylists and customers please read! Dishonest app. Customer Service is abhorable. They started auto charging my card after appointments without permission. They will not assist me in stopping this process. It has been 2 weeks and I have only had one correspondence. If my stylist is going to lose a customer because of this, there has to be more. Absolutely ridiculous. Stylists and customers be aware! UPDATE customer service says nothing they can do. Eat it.
