Suamp - free music player

On the positive side it is a very good app, easy to use, friendly interface and (the most awesome feature) you can play YouTube videos with your screen turned off. BIG like for that. It also has playlists. On the negative side, it sometimes can't play the video you want. Also, it is impossible to create a playlist containing local media and media from YouTube together. This would be a really cool feature to have. Overall it is a great app.

Exactly what I wanted. Reduced bandwidth on Internet songs and lectures. It stopped steaming audio a week ago. But the update fixed it. Beautiful. Update: it works well, but was wrong about the bandwidth savings. I compared an hour of YouTube music video to an hour of Suamp music alone and the bandwidth consumption is about the same, sadly. So I have to continue my search for something that can stream just compressed audio to save bandwidth.

I am changing my rewiew and I uninstalled the application because it works badly. It doesn't load public playlists anymore, when you try to play a playlist it automatically jumps to recommended songs and starts to load whatever song thinks you want. Also, when searching, it doesn't find as many songs as before and some of those few songs are impossible to load. Notify me when the problems are fixed or forget about this app alltogether!

A huge thank you for the app :-) I often see people struggle with YouTube on public transportation and tell them about your app. Some feedback for this awesome app: AndroidOne April patch nokia 7plus, TA1046 When poor or no network the transition to next song even if set at "play next song" it will timeout and fail. Basically it will show "loading" for 10-20 sec and not continue. I close app and restart to continue with playlist. Locked screen info and album art will not refresh.

hi there, thanks a lot for this app. i have to report something to you though. from the recommended audio section when i search for a video, later the video search history is shown in the dropdown. there isnt an option to delete it or maybe an option to even disable the history option. i felt it is an important option. it would be nice if you included that. great work.

This app is great but i got one bug.. I can't delete my playlists anymore. Neither update them or something. I got a playlist named music, i delete it, after i go to another page or close the app is just coming back.. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app and it's still there.. Edit: now it's updating my playlist but all the music goes to the bottom of the playlist istead of the top like it is on youtube.. Still can't delete it.

Previously in a heated moment i left a 1 star review due to technical issues, I've since deleted and retract my last post, full apologies. The new update is excellent so far, app seems to be running quicker in all aspects and hasnt had any issues playing songs, even playing ones that it used to fail to open. You developers are obviously working very hard to bring the best experience, thanks, you've done a fantastic job on the new update 🙌

Good but after an audio (from YouTube) is played, it keeps on playing from recommended list, which I don't want and didn't choose. I want it to stop playing. Same happens even if i keep playlist - after entire playlist is done, it plays what it wants. I want it to stop. Please please fix that; I don't want to look for alternative apps. Drains battery and data if i fall asleep. Please fix. Will say 5 stars after getting this fixed

Great. But I found something interesting. I accidently play a video along with music on this apps and the sound of the music changes, it becomes clearer and pleasant! Tried to change the equalizer on this apps but could not create the same sound. Is it a bug or something?

Doesn't always work. Sometimes it takes up to one hour to start the song from youtube. Every other app works and I have a strong internet connection. The commercials load like a charm, no issues there. Excelent ideea this app, not yet working properly.

Loved this app until it stopped working. Now it just gives an error that it failed to retrieve audio link and I do have the latest version. Really hope the developer is able to fix this. The only app that plays audio only from YouTube and that also stopped working 😕

Dope app and saves data! It was working flawlessly a few eeks ago with the online rafio stations but now they dont load anymore. It plays for.like seconds and skips to the next song. Its all good for other videos and whatnot. Still recommend.

Saves a lot of time as I am not distracted by video. Battery is not draining as I can turn off display. Quality of audio is great.

Hi criss There used to be the option of importing youtube playlists and you'd see the songs in Suamp. For some reason now the playlists imported are empty. Well done with this app!

I used to be able to search by voice, the Google voice mic was in the search box. It hasn't been there a while now. it was very handy when on the move.. Can it be reenabled? Great app though!

Simple, works fine, does what it promised. If you are after reducing internet traffic while listening music from Youtube, definitely worth using. I myself use this as my main player while on the move, as i can play any song instantly. Internet traffic is way lower than google play music. Even though i was willibg to pay for music, eating up 500 MB of data for 1 hour of music in Google Play Music was too much. I stay with Suamp which eats 60 MB for the same hour of playing music.

When trying to connect YouTube account it says "operation faild. error code 3". EDIT: I think I know the problem, the account where I have my YouTube account is a "brand" account connected to my main account, so when I try to connect YouTube the app is trying to connect my main account, and it fails. Now I'm using another app like this one that has the option to connect brand accounts, if the dev will address the problem I will certainly try this app too.

I just updated it and i can't use use audio effects at all even though I already have audiotrack off. It keeps saying the same thing every time I already have audiotrack off pls fix this

Very often gives me error 888 (this file cant be played) it gets really annoying beacause sometimes just certain songs dont play, and other times the entire playlist wont...

Full of bugs, I don't even know from where to start talking about the bugs. Songs do not start playing, they load and stop. Songs do not STOP playing when you tell them to.

App has become totally useless.. nothing loads anymore, can't update either. This is the third time this is happening, time to search for an alternative..

Can't find a fault with this app. Let's you play music from YouTube even with the screen off no bugs so far for me.

it will get 5 🌟 when developers fix the import playlist from youtube channel and add an equalizer. Yes it plays when screen locks!!!

I love your app but it started not to work it keeps saying fail to receive audio link I know you will fix the problem you always do keep up the good work

Short of 5 stars. Sometimes crashes or can't play the video. Also, is it really required to allow access to storage?
