Subsonic Music Streamer

Very useful app. Using it every day. It will be cool to make a setting with notifications volume. Because you can miss messages from navigator when notifications totally disabled like now. Database breaks sometimes. I am not sure, seems this caused with poor connection. Some songs downloads with errors and couldn't be re-downloaded. So after several month you may have a library with 40% playable songs only. To fix it you need to clear data and cache and re-add your server.

Instead of waiting a few seconds to allow the connection to start and to buffer, it skips songs if it catches up with the stream. Once a song finishes downloading it restarts playing it. Goes to the next song before the previous has finished when it's in this state, and it takes a lot of fiddling with playback controls to convince it to just play the album without skipping around.

It works but this application is still on Android 4.0 UX level, very outdated and cumbersome to work with. It works for streaming your music and downloading it for offline use (called "pin"), but browsing your library is a pain. No Artist/Album/Genre views,there is only a folder view. A lot of improvements can be done to make this app better.

This app can search, browse and play from an Ampache server. Best Android app for this, I've tried them all. Fast, light and simple to use. Would give 5 stars but there's a persistent stutter about 40 seconds into the first song in the playlist.

Very unreliable. Very little support. Completely stops working for no reason. When it works well, I love it for streaming my own music collection. I paid $99 for lifetime usage. After this last week of not being able to use it, I really regret giving them my money.

Hiccup for buffering after starting any album, and no ability to chromecast, but otherwise smooth and usable. No gapless playback, but that is typical of subsonic in general. Update Aug 2019: Suddenly stopped locally caching files. Cannot pin anything for offline use.

Use it as a streaming service to my phone, which is then streamed to my Bluetooth devices like ear buds, and Bluetooth to radio converter for my car, no more commercials for me.

The app works like a charm, but in notification bar there's a display problem; the bar is white, the buttons are white and the background is white, so I can't see the buttons.

Since it hasn't had any attention for so long a recent update to Android has stopped the skip and pause controls from working on external devices.

The app is not bad, it crashes when trying to delete a song from a playlist but that is not the end of the world... however, I have the feeling no one is taking care of this anymore and that's not good. Is this app abandoned??

Love this app I run my server from a Linux box. Been great to have my own music server that I can share with my friends. The only thing I wish they would add is a audiobook section. I know there is a different server that can do this that is like a fork from this open source. Just wish they were together.

Works better than the other free Subsonic apps I've tried. Only cuts out when I'm initially caching songs. Would really like to see dynamic playlists of genres and decades.

This app won't quit. Even if I select exit from menu and close all running apps, in 2 seconds it's back. Very annoying.

Pretty good and easy to use app. If possible though it would be nice if we could create playlists from the app.

External Bluetooth controls no longer work. Happened after upgrading to Android 12. Pixel 5. This app needs an update desperately.

A super app 5 star until upgrade to Andoird 12. Then the Bluetooth controls no longer worked. Can you please 🙏 update to allow Bluetooth control back? Make this app great again.

The app wouldnt work when i clicked on library and when I tried to register in the forums for help it would not accept my outlook email address. I'll stick with plex thank you.

Great app that works seamlessly with Subsonic server, my only wish is that it had Android Auto integration, as it's difficult to use in a car.

Newest version of the app broke for my Moto g5s plus. Will no longer download songs over WiFi. Also does not show any music being available in offline mode.

Keeps harassing me when I connect Bluetooth, starts auto playing and even after force closing the app, it starts itself up again and continues playing..
