Subtitle Viewer

I only wished I had discovered this app earlier. Last time I looked in 2016, there were no good subtitle "players" for Windows or Android. This app is exactly how I envisaged it to be. Unfortunately, just like the other apps, this one also seems to play a few deci/centi-seconds slower and would keep falling behind, going out of sync with my video after a few lines. Thankfully, changing the speed from "Normal" to "Faster" did the trick. I've only tried one video so far but I think a finer speed adjustment would be good to have in case it's needed.

It's a very good app. But the older version or SV version allowed you to be able to resume wherever you stopped if you flip the screen. This one, if you flip the screen or go to a different screen and return, it automatically goes back to the beginning of the script. It gets tedious to have to keep pausing whatever I am watching just to do a word search to find where I left off. This is something you should fix 9n later updates.

This app deserves more recognition. VERY effecient for the ppl who has difficulties with movies without subtitles or either trouble hearing or understanding their dialogues! I'm always watching movies (in a thirdparty site) but with those who do not provide the subs, i always use this app. I place my phone in front of the TV to see from abit far, enlarge the fonts and all, tho i manually sync their voice to the subtitles, I'm quite having a little difficulty. OVERALL very usefull app for me :)

awesome app for language learners. "subscene" subtitle site should be added too as opensubtitles is of a far lesser quality/quantity of languages most of the time. fix needed for this though: on my note 9, os 9.0 phone when i change from portrait mode to landscape mode it stops & i have to re-find the correct sub spot again. the app should continue running until we say stop. running in a popup window type of thing would be very useful as well.

I have auditory processing issues and need subtitles to understand most films and TV Shows. This app lets me have the subtitles on my tablet when watching them on my TV or even at the cinema. They don't block any of the picture, either. Thank you!

Loved the app. There should be an additional feature where the subtitles are displayed on screen while watching a movie by permitting to draw over apps. It would be really helpful for users like me who generally watch movies on their phones.

Fantastic app. Wish I have found this before. Came to my rescue when a random episode of a tv series was not subtitled. Slightly off sync at times but that might be down different versions. Would not use for everyday use, but enables as hard of hearing me to follow an episode.

Wow wow wow! Great app. Been looking into collecting anime that does not include English subs and wanted an add on solution for subtitling. This fits the bill really well! I've nearly driven myself insane trying to sync subs in players like vlc, but the drag back and forth to change timings I can get it how I want quickly. Edit: user error

I downloaded this app because of the glowing commendations and recommendations people dropped here. But alas, it's not working! All efforts to open or watch some movies proved abortive. It repeatedly displayed "Cannot connect to Open subtitles server. Please try again." I also attempted to play videos/movies on my phone but sadly it kept showing "Empty Directory." I'm giving you a one star rating. This is subject to review though.

this app is excellent, but i hope there's an update that allows this app to float on video player like Disney+ or Netflix. it's kinda like what Musixmatch or Joox's lyrics did. edit: i just read some others review about the app that relate to my request. i really hope that you sir will develop the floating subtitle feature. Thank you, this application is really help me and my family a lot.

So pleased I found this! Works great for playing subtitles on your phone along with movies, variable speed, text size and brightness, simple layout. I am hard of hearing and highly rate this app for cinema accessibility! no ads or interruptions either which helps. Good library of subs for endless movies.

It's been a great tool for me to improve my English, speaking which studying with series. Firstly, I'm used to reading the episode with this app, "like a book", getting notes about the new vocabularies and expressions. After that, I'm able to watch the episode even without subtitle.

It doesn't open SRT files. Hi, Ben. Not sure how to reply to you directly, but yes that is what I meant and yes I did grant permissions. I downloaded this app previously and had the same issue. I can't remember the message exactly but it just tells me the SRT is unreadable regardless of which file I put in. Thanks.

I don't know why people rated this less than 5 stars! This app is amazing! I was in an IMPOSSIBLE situation to transfer/download subtitle in my video playing device! so I downloaded .srt file externally, synced & played the sub in my phone with this app! This app really saved my day! Thank you very much! ♥️

Honestly I love this app but lately i can't download any subtitles. It keeps saying "error". Correction it keeps saying "Open subtitles server responded with status 407" I live in Nigeria and it's all subtitles//Yes it works perfectly and no I don't use a VPN connection.// Okay, thank you very much

Perfect! useful to watch movies in foreign cinemas. REQUEST: I wish I could disable the scrolling animation. just change the text immediately Update: I found that option in settings! cool!! thanks

One of great apps I love! When I watch English movies or series, it is VERY important for me to have an excellent working English subtitle SO I learn too while watching. This very app provides that need. Thank you so much for existing. Please stay forever! ♥️

This app is useful but if you want to view srt files that aren't in english language the app can not parse them (I'm not sure maybe just in my language). For example I wanted to view a Hebrew (עברית) srt file and the app failed to parse it. So, Please add other languages support especially Hebrew. Thanks!

Marvellous app. Very simple, it contains a lot of titles, very easy to sync with your video source and amazing interface. Top UX ever!

What a great app! My parents use it to watch Netflix movies that don't have official subtitles in our language. I purchased the "remove ads" option just to support the dev.

This is exactly what I need, Thank you very much! Although I would have love it more if I could access my local srt files... There is something wrong with the app, I hope that you'd notice my concern and act upon it. All in all it is still nice but it could still be better.

Nice app. but I have a question : Is it possible to make the application run floating above the screen and control its position and size? If that's possible, it's great because we can run the program on tv box android devices directly above the movie 👌

Works better than some other viewer/downloaders. Could easily download and view subtitles. I wish it could simultaneously search for multiple languages.

it's a pretty great app! I do hope there's a feature that allows you to compare between 2 or more subtitles. But other than that, it did the job just great!

Every thing is ok without the vibration 📳 of phone when trying to copy any word from the selected .srt file is not ok!! Please solve this vibration of phone when try to copy text and if there is a freely copy paste option that will be much better. Please fix it earlier!!🙏🙏

I was able to download and use this almost immediately - it found the subtitle I needed and I synced it fairly quickly. Amazing!

I have hearing loss and that makes it hard for me to enjoy watching movies in the cinema, but sometimes I still want to go and this app is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm so sorry for the low ratings from people who have poor reading comprehension about what this app really is about.
