Easy to use, easy to calculate the time, stops and cost of a journey all on one page
There are now noisy ads running whenever I open the app. It used to be good and useful, and is now unusable. I use this app on the subway, so the noise of the ads is disruptive to the other passengers. I don't mind having a popup screen with an ad when I first open the app, so long as it is full screen, *completely silent,* unanimated, and can be easily and *immediately* closed. But noise is 100% unacceptable, there is ZERO excuse for it. Uninstalled, and I recommend others do, too.
I haven't quite explored all the functionality of the app, but it is excellent so far. The English settings are free of spelling and grammar errors. The functions are intuitive and do not require an extensive learning curve. It is simple enough to install and begin exploring. This app is a great tool for anyone new to the Seoul area and its surrounding cities.
Takes a bit of figuring out to use it ( not too hard dont worry) . Used it during my seoul trip. I highly recommend it. It is a life saver as the metro can be pretty overwhelming to figure out at first with everyone rushing in and out of the train all around you. Definitely handy to have the app so you dont jump out at the wrong station hahaha. Tq developers, good job done!!!
I recently downloaded it and though it's taking a bit to navigate the app, I like it so far.
It's so helpful since it has the times and marks clear routes to get to your destination. You can also search the metro station name in Korean and it recognizes it even if you are using the App in English. It also has all the maps for every city with a metro! Best App for metro in Korea!
Once you understand and know where you're trying to go, it's Super easy to understand. The time tables are pretty accurate as well.
It was perfect until they added advertisements that pop up and then play goddamn music everytime you switch between other apps and back. Typical for Korean apps, updating every 5 seconds(for pretty much no reason) and eventually including features unwanted and detrimental to the user experience. Still, free tho.
This app is the single reason why I wasn't lost in Seoul. Genuinely couldn't have found my way around if it weren't for this app. If your native language is English, or English is stronger and more recognizable than Korean, I highly recommend using this app to navigate the Seoul Metro. The metro themselves are in Korean and English too, but figuring out where you need to go, this app will help you out immensely!
Fantastic application 👍 it gives you all the information you need (no kidding, all the information, such as exact time, door to get in and out - when transferring to another line -, time that takes to walk inside the stations, stations opening and closing time, first and last subway time, etc) Love it ! Also, the info is in both, Korean and in English
for foreigner, this is hard to use app....will not recommend.. Tokyo subway app is so much better. No sure why this app cant let me out in one screen the depart and arrive station and just show each stop and transfer in one screen. i have to flip back and forth snd the subway map screen is also not as easy to see the path stops..it cant fit into mobile screen
App is generally good, but schedule is not accurate despite showing it is up to date. Ran for a train that wasn't there, missed a stop because the alarm went off 5 minutes too late, plenty of other examples. Otherwise the app is great but the schedules are not helpful.
tldr; This app isnow full of ads so you'd better find another app instead. Yes. I do understand that you need ads for sustainability. I do accept ads underneath the app screen all the time. Full screen ads before/after course searching are annoying but understandable. But that ad which runs at the background, with zero visual presence, starts automatically with the app, overrides my audio/video playback every single f time is just insane. The backgroud ad is utterly disgusting.
Never seen such an awesome app for my connection in ROK. Since I am Kor-British, having english apps for metro connections was necessity to me. But thanks to you, this app makes my day. The updates are done like in 10 sec and more than that, I like the adorable cat&hamster character. ^☆^ The only idea that i'd like to request is making maps about KTX&Samaeul etc services if possible. All the best to Subway Korea!
it's difficult to memorize every route offered by korean subway. this app is really convenient when i want to know the approximate time for travel from station to station. the time is off sometimes, but other than that pretty decent app
Been using this app for at least five years, but today, ads started appearing all over the screen, every single time I open the app. Ads that I actively have to click on to dismiss them. Too bad, the developer got greedy. Will uninstall this junk.
Too many intrusive and interstitial ads. Instead, use bottom or side feeding ads. And reduce the number of taps required to get from point a to b. What i like bout u is u let us skip the timetable update unlike kakaometro (hate the dancing bear)
It's so easy to use the app. Very detailed and had helped me with my itinerary planning and budget as it shows the transport fare too. I recommended this app to my friends who are going Korea. Totally love it.
The bookmark function, in and of itself already justifies the 5-star rating. You can set up all your itinerary by train in advance and only check your bookmarks day before those trips. Very convenient. thanks!
I used this app in 2015 and now again, it has only gotten better and more informative and useful. it tells you direction of travel and time for next train. love the app, makes navigation easier than Waze, mostly due to the language barrier (this app is available and fully usable in english)
Best subway app for foreigners in Korea. Gives you very effective and detailed timeline, route and schedule of your favorite subways across Korea. This review is 5 years in the making and long overdue. Great app honestly.
It made my travel around Seoul so much more easier. With fares & time calculation I am able to organise my trip as well as my budget. Definitely recommending this app. It will be better if there is seach option for different stations.
the best map for foreign travellers. have used it since moving here two years ago. you can set destination and it tells the distance, price, tranfers. if there is facilities ect. its great
Its a great app. I never get worried of getting lost. It shows which train to take to where. How many transfers and where to make a transfer. It even gives the cost of your journey and the ETA.
Love it! Use it multiple times a week and has saved me countless times. Sometimes the walking time can be off (it assumes you're walking pretty fast), but overall it's good.
This is a great subway guide for foreign travellers to Korea. It has been extremely helpful for me and my family during our time in Seoul, especially the fact that we don't understand Korean. A must have for travellers. Keep updating, and keep up the good work.
For the most part this map is very helpful, I am from America and I do not read or write Korean, I thought to was going to be difficult to use the app but it is very easy use and read! I love that it tells you how much your fare is going to be!
Comfortable, user friendly and accurate.
I wouldn't have made my way around Seoul without this. Easy to use, intuitive functions, plus it has updated information of subway systems in different cities.
